90 years ago, this man, Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels, managed to convince the people of the most educated and technologically advanced country in the world — Germany — to believe one simple thing: the Jews were to blame for all their troubles. Just like the slogan “Free Palestine,” his propaganda slogan was very simple: “Juden sind unser Unglück,” which translates from German as “The Jews are our misfortune.” This slogan was everywhere: on street posters , in radio broadcasts , and in political speeches . And guess what? The most educated, advanced, and scientifically driven society IN THE WORLD at that time — Germany — believed it. This led to one of the most horrific crimes against humanity in history — the Holocaust. Many Germans did not believe Goebbels or approve of what was happening to the Jews, but they thought it did not concern them personally. Today, a younger generation of Americans, Canadians, and Europeans is beginning to believe that a significant portion of the world’s problems is caused by one single country — Israel. Most adults are watching in silence. The consequences of this blind hatred have yet to unfold. But if these adults know anything about history, they should understand that such hatred never ends well for anyone. If we do nothing to stop antisemitism today, we already know how it could all end.
