Issues created in @linear by people and via MCP are up 400% this year. Another fast growing trend: more customers are building their own internal agents and using Linear as the shared layer for workflows, communication and context between people and agents. As teams move faster, connecting goals, requests, reasoning and the work matters more, even if it sometimes happens after the fact in the review. Here is one customer oriented example we can do in our Linear: - Pick a top-10 customer. Ask the agent for a brief of their top requests and the reasoning we've captured - Write it to a doc in Linear and decide what to build with some people - Have the agent turn the decisions into projects and issues, carrying the customer requests and meeting notes with them - Teams send their agents to work on them - At the QBR, ask agent to generate a report and show the customer what has actually landed or them, how and why Now multiple these kind of workflows 100 or 1000 times where someone is learning something worth fixing, or trying ideas and finding beta customers for it. Or just aligning across the team or cross function. Not posting our revenue chart, but it looks a lot like this one

You do not need a new CFO. You just need agents that work. No need to configure skills, and integrations and workflows and context and agents. Your existing CFO has the judgement and taste, they shouldn’t be replaced by some kid who can talk to Claude. The AI labs building stuff for themselves is great. Their core competency is building agents. 99% of companies can’t do that. Finance & accounting orgs love Basis precisely because they don’t need to become engineers to do their job. It just works.

I work with a company that’s doing great by all definitions. Recently one of its star executives was poached by an A+ company to lead a very popular product. The founders tried to retain him, they couldn’t, so they wished him well & began the recruitment process to replace him. The investors sent him notes thanking him for all his work No temper tantrums or ethics debates or twitter name-dragging. Just grownups getting back to work.

Also incredibly humble and a great dude to have beers with. Respect 🫡
I don’t normally write these things. But this one hits a bit different. Nearly three years ago I told a16z I wanted to spend part time outside the firm helping @drfeifei start and build a frontier model company. And what followed were some of the most remarkable moments of my career. From being at the founding table. To watching the first git commits. Seeing the very early very rough results that hinted at something much greater. Contributing to the open source. Watching the creation of new model architectures that pushed the state of the art in multiple areas. I saw the team spin magic from nothing again and again. And I was very privileged to be within the walls. I’m very proud of what was accomplished, and am so excited for what lies ahead. So congratulations to AMD for entering into an agreement with the leading spatial intelligence frontier lab. And congratulations to the World Labs team on a partner that has the vision, ambition and leadership to be the top AI technology provider globally. Also congratulations to Dr. Su and Dr. Li. Two world class CEOs with a common vision. The both of you working together is unimaginably legendary. Arguably the smartest leaders in tech with the shared goal of building the world's leading AI capabilities. I know you both share an optimistic view of AIs ability to aid humanity. We need far more of that. As everyone knows. I’m World Lab’s biggest fan. And will remain so. Thanks to @drfeifei , @BenMildenhall , @jcjohnss and the entire team for letting me tag along. What a crazy fucking ride. You stood at the frontier, and moved it. And will continue to. Again, many congratulations to everyone involved. The future of AI will be so much brighter with this partnership. I can’t wait to see where it leads. Here’s to new worlds!

A thousand tiny details, executed with speed and polish
Linear is next level: they integrated Jev into the emoji picker already and it’s AMAZING (This is response on a thread on how Google Docs’ emoji picker has been the same unusable mess for ~20 years; the ✅ icon still unfindable on my free and paid accounts)

Crazy how early it is …just scratching the surface
Cognition has crossed $1B in annualized revenue run rate. This milestone belongs to our customers. Here's how a few of them are building with Devin.

The **TENTH** largest IT services firm does >$11b revenue annually. The world needs far more software than it can build (and update, and maintain, and monitor, and modernize, etc). @ScottWu46 is building one of the most consequential companies of the AI era
This one feels special - a lot of folks on this list we've admired for years and now finally get to work with. Above all I'm grateful for the incredible team that we have. Every day at Cog still feels like getting in a room together and trying to build something great. Also, grateful that Devin is actually good now. Would have looked really dumb otherwise.

Thanks @jasonlk! Lot to do still but: 1) @linear is used by pretty much by all major labs/ai companies out there 2) our MCP traffic grows 50% MoM 3) we have the most agent integrations and active usage than any platform like this (3rd party, in-house agents) 4) our AI revenue (loops, coding sessions) has grown about 500% per quarter 5) we are closing several public companies/enterprises each quarter to help them coordinate their agent work
The Bull Case for Linear Being a $100BN Company: "Linear is the clear winner. They have built an agentic product first that allows us to build 100x more software, and that means 100x more features than ever before. Humans cannot keep up with it, and humans still have to work with agents. If every human on your team's gonna build 500 features and 1,000 issues and you have 10 people on your team, you need a process and a system of record for managing all these issues with your agents. We need a new system of record for it. The team at Linear has figured it out. We have seen an explosion, 50x more agent usage than 90 days ago. This will seem cheap when Replit's at $15BN, Lovable's at $100BN, because Linear will be the one powering them all". @jasonlk Love to hear your thoughts, what is your bull case for Linear @karrisaarinen @stephzhan @adambain @dickc @soleio @zoink @Mkclements

We're still just getting started @linear, defining how real teams (and their agents!) work in an AI era Even as the business is *accelerating* into real scale, and as we serve all the frontier labs, next gen of AI startups, and the enterprise... we don't take anything for granted. Some snippets to give you a real sense of how founders @karrisaarinen @jorilallo @artman approach building the business, over the years: - "We need to constantly earn our reputation" - "We need to constantly reinvent. This is a re-founding moment."
Today we're announcing our second employee tender offer. We passed $100m ARR earlier this year and now have more than 40,000 paying customers. The tender lets our teammates participate in that success at a $2.5B valuation: linear.app/now/sharing-growt…

We started @linear 7 years ago to build better tools for everyone who makes software. Today, Linear is the primary choice for a new generation of AI-native companies, frontier labs like OpenAI, and increasingly large enterprises, including Salesforce and Figma. I’m proud we’ve been able to grow while maintaining the quality bar, doing things our way and staying profitable for most of that journey

Earlier this year, Linear passed $100M in annual recurring revenue with over 40,000 paying customers, including OpenAI, Figma and Salesforce -- all while remaining cashflow positive. Instead of raising cash we do not need, we completed a $99M tender offer at a $2.5B valuation. Startups are one of the few places where the people doing the work own a real piece of it. Sometimes that ownership turns into money that actually changes something (a down payment, years of freedom to go build the thing you've been thinking about). I've been on the receiving end of that. Getting to help run a company where other people can realize those outcomes is the part of this I care about most. We still believe a small, focused team can accomplish far more than people expect. Maintaining quality as the product expands requires scaling thoughtfully. We currently have 30+ open roles. If you want to build what comes next with us, we're hiring.
