It was?
I'm realizing that we didn't love the ANC the same. To us it was a church, it was sacrosanct, it was an institution for black people's freedom and upliftment. To others it was an opportunity to get rich and exercise power. There are some who would rather it die in their hands , then release it because for them it is a livelihood....to us it was a philosophy.

Did you share the same sentiment about the MKP, when they were the biggest party in KZN in the last elections?

3. Denying Helen the position of mayor is legally permissible but would violate the substantive intent of our democracy. How can the biggest party be excluded? We should therefore try and avoid it if at all possible? So what are Helen’s options for coalition partners?

As we wait for results, let’s be responsible. Everyone had a fair opportunity to campaign, contest and convince voters. If people didn’t buy your message, they didn’t buy it. That’s democracy I, for one, will accept the will of the people in good faith.

B-BEE has implementation flaws, but saying it never benefitted the average South African ignores reality. If there was no legal or financial pressure, corporate SA would never have transformed voluntarily or funded the bursaries and jobs that built the Black middle class.
BEE has NEVER benefitted the average South African.

Does anyone have data showing what percentage of White South Africans voted for each political party (DA, FF+, ANC, EFF, etc.)in the previous elections? I’m looking for the breakdown of the White vote, not the racial makeup of each party’s voters. I want to see something

Nothing I dislike more than the “they’ve had their chance” “let’s give other parties a chance” A chance to do what? Action SA says it wants to remove BEEE, what is it that we must give them a chance to do?

South African was never a first world country in the 1900s South Africa had the population of 40m as of 1994 yet 20m South Africans lived in poverty (50% of the population) How can you be a first world country with half your citizens living in abject poverty?? South Africa was only a first world country for the colonizers the black population couldn’t experience it
south africa went from a first world country with nuclear power and one of the largest railway systems in the world to a third world country in just 30 years progress is not a guarantee. decay is the natural state of things

Classic propaganda tactic from Naspers @AdriaanBasson @News24 before the elections... Notice whose picture they use when reporting the Bronkhorstspruit water problem versus whose they use when reporting the solution...inverting the truth. Note: in case you still don't understand, water provision at this level is a local government responsibility (i.e. Nasiphi Moya) and national government (Majodina et al) can step in *if* local fails

Jacinta Ngobese wants to turn a criminal act into a tribal grievance. You jump all day shout Zulu ~Zulu ! Looting a Shoprite is not Zulu culture. Burning a warehouse is not Zulu pride. Robbing a business is not a zulu Culture! — it is a crime that destroys jobs for the very Zulus she claims to defend. The truth she won't tell you: The people who suffered most from that looting were Zulus. Zulu workers who lost jobs. Zulu mothers who could not buy bread because shops were burnt. Zulu small businesses that were destroyed. Ramaphosa did not stop Zulus. He stopped criminals who were using the Zulu name to hide their thuggery.~@Mzanziawake ~Speaks

The growing use of AI-generated posters by government departments and other institutions will eventually come back to haunt them. By normalising AI-generated visuals in official communication, they are making it increasingly difficult for the public to distinguish genuine announcements from fabricated ones. People are already creating fake posters that look remarkably similar to official communications. The danger is that misinformation can now spread under the appearance of credibility

1. So, I come from communities where the mosques, methodist and Catholic churches are on same property divided by simple fences (Bosmont). We prayed, laughed and cried in all depending on whether it’s a wedding, baptism or funeral. This campaign to divide South Africans will fail

He's not lying. Metros in Gauteng started getting messed up after the 2016 LME.
[WATCH] ANC NEC member and former Johannesburg Mayor Cde Parks Tau recalls how, by 2016, the city was investing more than R12 billion a year in infrastructure. Johannesburg had the country’s third-largest subnational infrastructure budget, funded largely through its own revenue and surpluses, with only a third coming from national government. Under his leadership, City Power consistently recorded surpluses. He says the city’s revenue and infrastructure spending fell after the DA took office, while City Power and other municipal entities weakened amid coalition instability. The audited financial statements, he argues, show how Johannesburg changed. The ANC’s task is to restore a clear vision and the capacity to build the city. #VoteANC2026 #LetsBuildBetterCommunities
