Signs have been picked up. Please reach out and let me know if I missed any.
I will have more to say later as I am still collecting my thoughts about last night. For now, I’d like to congratulate Julie and Greg on earning a seat, and I want to thank everyone else who stepped up to run.
I also want to thank everyone who took a sign and stood by me this year. This wasn’t easy, and your support means the world to me and my family.
My kids were so excited they were up till 12 a.m. (bad parenting, I know), but they still made it to school. You all provided that moment for me, and it’s something I’ll treasure forever.
Thank you!!
Mayor Lindstrom
Votes are coming in from across the city, state and country. Democracy is in the air and I love it.
While we may have our differences standing for office is hard and it takes allot of courage. I want to thank all the candidates for being willing to step up to serve. I want to wish everyone the best of luck today.
Please if haven't go out and #VOTE
I’ve been thinking about what I wanted to say today as everyone makes their final pitch.
I’m grateful. This year has shown a lot of passion, and that’s a good thing. It tells me democracy is alive and well in Mounds View. Even when we disagree, it’s clear people here care about this city. That matters.
Tomorrow is the last day to vote. If you haven’t already, please go vote — whatever your choice is.
If you believe in the direction we’ve been heading and think there’s more work to do, I’d be honored to have your support.
Mayor Lindstrom
Here is the agenda and packet for tonight's Work Session Meeting. The meeting starts 6pm at City Hall. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and I hope to see you there.
Also the Police are starting their winter coat drive. The drop box is at City Hall. Let's fill up the box and keep the trophy here in Mounds View.

Sorry for another post, but so many people put in a beyond-impressive effort on their Halloween decorations that it has to be acknowledged.
There were some really well-done houses I saw last night while out with my kids. I’m sorry in advance for not having more, because I know there were some great ones I didn’t see.
Reading all the posts about the high turnout across the city warms my heart for a couple of reasons.
One: We have so many people who take the time to decorate and leave a light on, and I want to say thank you for that. This creates the space for my second reason.
Two: We had so many parents and kids out last night just enjoying themselves, and for those few hours we were all neighbors. I want to thank everyone for that.
Mayor Lindstrom
With the amplified “election conversation” we are seeing as we are now just days away from the election, it makes me think of these fortunes I keep in my wallet. They serve as a reminder to keep things in perspective when things have a little more energy than normal. I know it’s corny, but it works for me, and I am offering the same to you.
I’d encourage everyone to read the three statements below and really think about what they mean to you.
There are only a couple of days to go, and I know everyone is ready to be done. I firmly believe 99% of people have their minds made up, and at this point most (if not all) of everything is being tuned out due to the super toxic and negative environment we are in.
My hope is that we can all just take a breath, refocus, and remember that we are all neighbors. We have an opportunity to reset the landscape and get through these last couple of days as neighbors.
Mayor Lindstrom
Wow what a incredible event and turnout last night at the #FallFestival. Easily was the highest turnout we've had at 2500 or more. Thank you all so much for showing out and making this the best Fall Festival yet.
A big thank you to Ceili Lindstrom and Sherie Wagner for decorating a top tier door and helping with candy distribution all night.
Staff and voulenteers did a phenomenal job putting this event on and worked extremely hard. Thank you all so much for job exceptionally well done.
On Monday, a resident spoke during public comment after their child was nearly struck by a driver who went around a stopped school bus. This is a serious reminder of the risks children face every day.
By law in every state, drivers must stop for a school bus when its red lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended. Wait until the lights stop flashing, the stop arm is retracted, and the bus begins moving again before proceeding. Yellow flashing lights mean the bus is preparing to stop—slow down and get ready to stop.
As a practical best practice: if a school bus is stopped (even if the signals aren’t fully activated yet), stay stopped and watch carefully for children. That’s what I do, and I encourage everyone to do the same. Children can appear quickly, especially when crossing in front of the bus.
If you see a driver running a stopped school bus, report it right away. Police have a limited window to identify these drivers. A prompt report with the license plate, vehicle description, time, location, and direction of travel greatly increases the chance of action.
With shorter daylight hours and changing weather, please stay especially attentive. Slow down in neighborhoods and near bus stops, watch for children, and help keep our neighbors safe.
Mayor Lindstrom
Please come out and join us this Thursday October 29th from 6-8pm at the Mounds View Community Center for a safe, fun filled evening of costumes, candy, and fun activities.
This event is always a great one for the kiddos. Staff and voulenteers have a really great night planned and I want to thank everyone who has worked to make this event happen. We hope to see you there.
Pretty cool when people who actually move the needle notice what we’re doing here in Mounds View. @larsleafblad is right — it’s good for Minnesota to see a place where we can sit down and talk to each other.
These candidate sessions are as much about the people who show up as the candidates themselves, and that’s why they work. We have folks who leave the rhetoric at the door and ask really great questions. I’m grateful for everyone who’s been a part of these over the last four years.
Hard to believe it’s been that long. We started with the 2023 school board candidates and have done it every election since. Maybe I’m being a little sentimental, but it’s been a lot of fun.
Monday nights Council Meeting Agenda and Packet for your viewing pleasure. The meeting starts 6pm at City Hall. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and I hope to see you there.

Having Ayo, TJ, and Joan coming off the bench makes this teem deeper and better. This team is really awesome and I think this might be the year. I know it's early but we've not had a team like this.
Thank you to Ron Schutz For MN Attorney General for a excellent coffee time today and thank you to everyone who came and made these sessions fun and dynamic.
