Publicly owned Royal Mail delivered letters six days a week. After privatisation, bosses tripled their salaries and cut that to three days a week. Yes, it's our old friend 'the superior efficiency of the private sector'.

Why is the BBC glued to Nigel's every word? Why report on whatever his announcement of the day is, when his party has fewer than 10 MPs and waning influence? Who takes these editorial decisions at BBC News? Why is my license fee spent in this way? Shambles.

If you spend 14yrs stripping away support for the Police, the NHS, Councils, Schools, Community Centres, Libraries, the Fire Service, Social Services etc then you get a society that's broken.
Stop blaming migrants, blame the Tories, they broke Britain & we're all paying for it.
Think you’ll find there is only one president we want to see go !!!
Time for Zelensky to go, Trump tells Ukraine in diesel row

Marco Rubio has announced that Europe may yet awaken from its long slumber and rekindle the fire lit here millennia ago. It is a remarkable thing to hear from the representative of a country that has just sailed past 40 trillion dollars in debt and now spends more on interest than on its own military.
One wonders what exactly we slept through. While dozing, Europeans somehow arranged to live several years longer than Americans, to see a doctor without remortgaging the house, and to take August off. Six of the seven happiest countries on earth are European, according to this year's World Happiness Report, and the United States is 23rd.
So thank you, Mr Secretary, for the wake-up call. If the generational shift you are hoping for means tariffs struck down in court, bond yields at their highest since 2007 and a government that insults its allies for sport, we would rather stay in bed.

Kemi Badenoch just promised full employment, tax cuts (but mainly for the rich tbf) a bigger budget for the police and army, increase prison spaces, protect the triple lock and lower student loan payments.
Pointing out that the Tories did the opposite of this the last time they were in power would be cynical in the extreme.

Kemi Badenoch claims the Conservative Party stands for wealth creation. The last Tory government presided over the longest period of falling living standards in 200 years.

A demolished East Wing, a shuttered Kennedy Center, and a peeling, drained Reflecting Pool. If you want a perfect visual for what Trump is doing to this country, there it is. If he can’t slap his name on it or use it for a photo op, he’d rather just watch it rot.

Then return to your wife @TiceRichard and tell your girlfriend to return to her husband @IsabelOakeshott and tell @Nigel_Farage to return to the mother of his children, and @LeeAndersonMP_ Fucking hypocrites!

Be clear. Reform now has the resource to buy every billboard in the UK, blanket wall to wall advertising across written and broadcast media and saturation leafleting. The British will be blitzed into voting for the ultra right - against every best instinct. It is a dark moment.
Good job we live in a democracy not somewhere where money calls the shots, and politicians don’t ban journalists from their conferences > oh hang on bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clye…
Yes you read that right a Democratic Party ‘bans”’ the press - enough said theguardian.com/politics/202…
10 years ago this week I welcomed my last ever cohort of students and pupils to Trinity.
I loved it and sorry but still miss it
Exactly this
Prue Leith talking nonsense on school meals again
I’m tired of these rich entitled celebrity chefs jumping on the “we must do something about school meals” bandwagon without demonstrating the slightest understanding of the wider issues
