When you get videos of a student reading on a Saturday afternoon… you celebrate! This student was diagnosed with dyslexia over the summer. Mom wanted to have her taken off tier 1 and put in special ed. I pleaded with her to give me time, two months later and this 😍😍🎉🎉

Is there anything better than progress monitoring on a Friday and seeing your students thrive with explicit instruction and rigorous intervention? #scienceofreading #structuredliteracy

It’s Friday. It’s been a long week but listening to this new @ehanford podcast gives me the energy to power through today. This is why I come to work everyday. My passion.

Top Ten Tools debrief with @debglaser was so wonderful today! Having face to face PD with such a knowledgeable reading guru was the best way to spend the morning. I left with so many application ideas and new learning that will make me a better teacher. #scienceofreading
Enjoying another free webinar, Syllable Division, by Kendore Learning this evening. I highly recommend their Unlock Revloc cards! #scienceofreading
This is 💯% the reason I made the switch to 1st grade last year. The gaps keep widening folks! Students need explicit and systematic instruction based on science and research. #scienceofreading

Learning to read gives children a chance and opportunity for a future they want-rather than one decided for them based on their circumstances.

Do you know about scribal o? Thanks to the #scienceofreading community, I do now. One of my Ss high frequency words for the upcoming week is come, I was wondering why the o says /u/. Here’s why: m.youtube.com/watch?fbclid=I… So fascinating!
Who else can't wait for @reading_league conference Tuesday?! So many brilliant minds in one place! 🧠📚🥳
