Man, everybody who did not vote for Harris and/or played down the stakes (media included) absolutely failed the easiest, open-book morality test of all time. He is genuinely one of the most reprehensible human beings on Earth.
Trump: "Vivek Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Amy Acton, who is running for Governor of Ohio, is a liar, and much worse. The Press, in a concerted and well coordinated attack, is trying to get Vivek Ramaswamy to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about a daughter in that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving in Office"

Part of being an adult is accepting being told ‘no’.
This possessiveness over seats is mean-spirited. Unless you've paid, it isn't hurting you to switch. Groups that initially picked seats together get split up after booking or simply never give you a chance to get them. Spending hours listening to tears to prove a point is weak.

The guideline for asking to swap seats should be simple. If the seat you are offering is no worse (aisle for aisle, window for window, not more than a couple of rows away, same legroom, etc.) then it's fine to ask. If not, then it's unreasonable. The end.

Sure, because Trump is always on the side of the abuser and never the abused. Because, he too, is an abuser.
President Trump strongly defends Vivek Ramaswamy’s ad featuring Amy Acton’s estranged mom. Trump: “That took a lot of courage to do but, essentially, what she was really doing was saving Ohio from making a truly horrible choice! The Press is trying to convince everyone that this Ad is bad, because it’s so good! Who wouldn’t use such an Ad? I would, it’s called, ‘hitting pay dirt.’”

‘What Ohioans are learning about now is the real reason Vivek Ramaswamy is a mismatch for the very idea of electoral politics: He’s an insincere and unlikable weasel.’
I think we can call a wrap on the idea of Vivek Ramaswamy as governor of Ohio, at this point. I don't regret a word of this long-overdue thrashing. The latest at @NRO: nationalreview.com/2026/10/v…

Apparently not satire
Former Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Ukraine) actually just posted something I agree with. Former British PM Winston Churchill absolutely could have shortened World War Two by four to five years. All he had to do was accept Hitler's surprising peace offers in July 1940 or May 1941 to withdraw German forces from 81 percent of German-occupied Europe (and North Africa) in exchange for an end to the war with the UK and a free hand to lead his long-planned 'international crusade' against the Soviet Union. Doing so likely would have saved the lives of six million Jews who died during the Jewish Holocaust. Similarly, Zelensky could have ended the war in April 2022 by signing the Istanbul Agreement mandating the withdrawal of all Russian troops from Ukraine's pre-war controlled territories in exchange for Ukraine's neutrality outside of NATO and partial demilitarization. History is constantly repeating itself and those who fail to learn from the mistakes of history are condemned to repeat them.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Hitler's July 1940 Reichstag speech was a vague appeal with no specific withdrawal terms or 81% figure. Hess's 1941 flight was unauthorized with only general proposals; detailed claims match only the poster's accounts, not records. ibiblio.org/pha/policy/194… britannica.com/biography/Rudo… encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/art…

It’s been a rough few days - knowing how hard so many people work to make “good” happen - but how fragile that good is to a moment of bad… I’m taking Fred Rogers’ advice: “Look for the helpers.” Flipping through pages of donor messages - and seeing names of tweeps, friends and community members I recognise - has been heartening. savethechildrenfundraising.o…
