A sea of people in Kebbi. What will happen to Bola Tinubu at the ballot box in January will be for the history books. We thought we’d seen it all in Sokoto, but the people of Kebbi State say, “Not so fast.”
This is unbelievable! This is beyond words!

Amnesty International strongly condemns the violence unleashed on campaign convoys of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi state today 5 November 2026. Footages we analysed show armed gangs carrying weapons attacking vehicles in the convoys, striking people with cutlasses and blocking roads.
One of the footages from Argungu, shows opposition members being hunted by thugs; beaten severely — and their vehicles destroyed.
Apart from direct attacks with knives, machetes, the hoodlums, suspected to be sponsored, pelted vehicles with bottles, stones, as well as targeted members of the media crew following the campaign. Cameras and other gadgets of media teams were destroyed.
Clearly, a brutal campaign of repression against the opposition and its supporters is increasingly making it extremely difficult for them to exercise their rights to freedom of association and peaceful assembly.
The incident in Kebbi coming days after similar bloody attacks on ADC campaigns in neighbouring Sokoto state are part of a troubling pattern of brutal attacks targeting opposition members in various parts of the country. No one should lose their life or face violence simply for taking part in peaceful political activities.
So far, Nigerian authorities have failed to ensure accountability for such atrocities that happened in many states, including, Niger, Kaduna, Edo and Enugu. In all cases investigated by Amnesty International security agencies failed to do their job of preventing or stopping the attacks to protect the right to freedom of association.
The ongoing political repression targeting opposition parties nationwide undermines democracy and creates a toxic climate of fear and violence: .@officialABAT @PoliceNG @OfficialDSSNG

Bola @officialABAT wants to create another June 12 cos he sees no pathway to winning the 2027 Election.
El-Rufai @elrufai gave them a data-driven worst-case scenario prediction that if the election goes to a rerun, Bola won’t be in the contest. It’s between Atiku and Obi.

LIFU JUDGMENT: APC WANTS TO SET NIGERIA ON FIRE
— Says Sokoto Rally Has Sent Ruling Party Into Panic
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has described today’s judgment by Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, purporting to sack the Senator David Mark-led leadership and invalidate the candidacy of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as another desperate attempt to cripple the opposition and deny Nigerians the right to choose their leaders in the forthcoming general elections.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the timing of the judgment, barely 24 hours after the massive turnout at the ADC presidential campaign rally in Sokoto, exposes what it considers the growing desperation of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“We have reasons to believe that the judgment had long been written on this case. The Sokoto rally was simply a trigger that stampeded its delivery. Yesterday, Nigerians came out in their hundreds of thousands to demonstrate their support for the ADC and our promise of making life affordable for them. Today, they are being told that the party that they support and the candidates that they have supported at all levels could be erased by the stroke of a reckless judicial pen.”
The ADC questioned whether those behind the flawed judgment had considered its far-reaching implications for the country, warning that the attempt to invalidate the party’s leadership could affect thousands of candidates contesting elections at the local, state and federal levels.
“Do these people understand what they are playing with? This is not about Atiku Abubakar or David Mark. It is about the democratic rights of Nigerians to freely choose their own leaders. It is about the rights of thousands of candidates to participate in a democratic process.”
The ADC maintained that the judgment is legally indefensible and would be challenged through every available judicial process.
“Our objection is particularly anchored on the subsisting judgment of Justice Musa Liman of the same Federal High Court, delivered on 2 July 2026 in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1637/2025, which affirmed the legitimacy of the David Mark-led NWC and directed INEC to recognise the leadership. It is a settled principle of Nigerian jurisprudence that a court of coordinate jurisdiction cannot sit on appeal over, review, vary or nullify the subsisting judgment of another court of equal jurisdiction.
“The ADC, therefore, rejects any consequential orders founded on a determination that appears to disregard these fundamental legal principles. However, we await the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the said judgment to ascertain its precise terms, scope and operative orders.
“We have seen this script before. When they are scared that the opposition is gathering steam, they use their judges in the courts to influence legally indefensible judgments. But the millions of Nigerians that are hungry and waiting for them at the ballot box see right through them and will not sit down in silence while our democracy is taken away by the courts.”
The ADC, therefore, warned the APC against pursuing what it described as a dangerous attempt to eliminate political competition through judicial controversies.
“We warn the APC: do not play with fires you cannot control. The peace and stability of Nigeria are bigger than the ambition of any president or political party. Nobody should be so desperate to retain power that they are prepared to put the entire country at risk. This is not the time to play silly games with the stability of this country.
“Nigeria belongs to Nigerians, not to the APC. The presidency is not an inheritance. If the President thinks he has performed well in office, why is he afraid of competition? If the APC thinks that its policies and candidates are popular, why don’t they subject themselves to free and fair elections?”

With an angry @Republicans caucus in control of Congress until January 2027 and emboldened congressional @TheDemocrats preparing to investigate President Bola Tinubu's mining MOU, the Nigerian Presidency (@officialABAT) picked the wrong time to pull off its latest alleged attempt to rig the upcoming Nigerian presidential election.
Apparently scared by yesterday's turnout in support of former Nigerian Vice President @atiku Abubakar, who happens to be President Tinubu's main political opponent, Tinubu's officials reportedly met last night, and the result of that meeting is allegedly this highly suspicious court ruling.
We are gathering more information and will be engaging with senior members of the @realDonaldTrump administration, as well as Republicans and Democrats in Congress. The alleged actions of President Tinubu risk pushing Nigeria closer to political unrest, with dire consequences for U.S. interests and regional stability.

COURT NULLIFIES ATIKU'S EMERGENCY AS ADC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, SACKS DAVID MARK, AREGBESOLA’S LEADERSHIP.
The Federal High Court Abuja division has nullified all the processes of the African Democratic Congress ADC leading to the emergence of Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party's candidate for the 2027 election.
Justice Peter Odo Lifu in a verdict equally nullified the emergence of the Former Senate President, David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola and others as national officers of ADC.
All candidates nominated for the 2027 general elections also have their nominations cancelled on account of emerging from illegal and unlawful leadership of ADC.
Justice Lifu upheld the case of Nafiu Bala Gombe, a Deputy National Chairman of ADC that David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola emerged leaders of the party in an unlawful and illegal ways.
The Court declared all actions taken by David Mark leadership in the name of ADC as unlawful and thereby nullified them.

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu's (@officialABAT) agents and officials are truly the gift that keeps on giving. The Nigerian Presidency is openly celebrating a court ruling that reportedly indicates they arranged to eliminate current Nigerian President Tinubu's main rival in the upcoming Nigerian presidential election.
We are going to be presenting the @X post of @fkeyamo, President Tinubu's Minister of Aviation, whose government portfolio has nothing to do with elections or electoral integrity, openly celebrating what a senior congressional staffer described as an "open display of election interference by the Nigerian government," to members of the @realDonaldTrump administration and Congress.
We have a prediction for current Nigerian President Tinubu: In a few months, you are going to look at this court ruling and @fkeyamo's post as the defining moment when the rope the United States has been giving you to figuratively hang yourself finally became the instrument of your own political downfall

PRESS RELEASE
APC'S DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO CONSTRICT DEMOCRATIC SPACE AND MUZZLE OPPOSITION MUST STOP - NDC
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is sad to note that the desperate attempt to constrict the democratic space and muzzle the opposition is on the increase.
The NDC has not just been a target of violent attacks by agents of the ruling and ruinous APC, it has become a soft target of discrimination by hoteliers and the hospitality industry in Abuja.
On two occasions, Rockview Hotel in Abuja after agreeing to the use of their facilities for our meetings without genuine excuse cancelled the grant in the last minute of negotiation.
The first time it happened was when at the last minute they rejected our request to hold our 2nd NEC meeting in June, 2026.
Only recently, they refused our utilization of their facilities for a meeting saying it was order from above.
Similarly, the BON Hotel, Wuse, Abuja bluntly refused our usage of their facilities for a meeting despite meeting all conditions placed on our path.
Also, the recent unveiling of our National Campaign Council (NCC) did not happen without drama from the hospitality industry in Abuja.
At the last minute, our host called the party to refund the payment made, saying they were no longer interested in making their facilities available, perhaps based on threats and orders from above.
However, our refusal to bulge inevitably compelled them to allow us the usage of the facility we have paid for.
This is not democracy. The APC should allow all parties to campaign without let or hindrance, and give Nigerians the opportunity to make their choice on who governs them.
In addition, we implore all well meaning Nigerians and lovers of democracy to call out Rockview and BON Hotel for their anti-people and anti-democratic actions.
Nigerians deserve better, and NDC is prepared to serve with passion and patriotism.
A New Nigeria is POssible! We can do it.

Do not Undermine Democracy
I have received with shock the news of an order by the Federal High Court in Abuja nullifying the emergence of the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and all the actions he has taken. This is unsettling and surprising.
I do not challenge the ruling of the court. The court of law is constituted to determine disputes according to the law. My concern is that three months before a general election, it is in the public interest to have certainty. It is not good to have too many uncertainties about candidates and parties a few weeks before a presidential election. This instability is obviously engineered by the ruling party, just as they have done against me in the Labour Party and continue to do so to close down civic space for a robust campaign. It is also from the same rulebook that manufactures violence against us in our campaigns.
One mark of democracy is that at all times, it is voters and not courts that choose leaders. I trust in the judiciary. As a public officer, I have shown deep respect for the judiciary. I appeal that we protect the integrity of democracy by not undermining the free and fair choice of candidates.
The sustenance of democracy in Nigeria, in the midst of encroaching military rule in West Africa, should strengthen our resolve to protect opposition politics and not stamp out opposition parties. It is because of the importance of opposition to the sustenance of democracy that I have always promised that, as President, I will take a special interest in ensuring opposition parties are stable and thriving, and that opposition candidates are not persecuted out of electoral contests.
This is a time to strengthen our democracy by allowing the opposition to thrive.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
