$SSP: 431 jobs gone at Scripps, per CEO Adam Symson's memo today. The crazy but not surprising part is the 100 new hires, local reporters included, under a new model for how the news gets built. Cut deep, rebuild how the newscast gets assembled, and rehire a fraction…. guess that’s the TV news playbook now.
90 minutes’ notice before being laid off. The Telegraph is seeing about 100 jobs being cut. Culture, sport and fashion hit hardest. The message is clear: “AI-driven premium media” means fewer journalists, less original coverage and lower costs. Premium prices. Cheaper journalism.

🚨🚨🚨 NEW LEAKS: MICROSOFT HAS WORKERS IN INDIA ACCESSING US GOVERNMENT DATA. “Leaked Microsoft screenshots show an India-based engineer received approval to view U.S. government cloud logs.”
🚨BREAKING (EXCLUSIVE): National Security Concerns Leaked by MSFT Whistleblower Leaked Microsoft screenshots show an India-based engineer received approval to view U.S. government cloud logs. A Microsoft whistleblower contacted me and shared screenshots supporting allegations that Microsoft used its “escort” process to allow an India based engineer to access Government Community Cloud (GCC) systems. The whistleblower alleges the engineer is not a U.S. citizen. Microsoft’s own published rules state that temporary elevated access to customer content in GCC requires verified U.S. citizenship. The escort model is the workaround the company uses so non-U.S. personnel can still direct the work. The screenshots show Viraj Chokhany requesting and receiving approval for escort access to view logs in the DPRODMGD151 environment, which is part of Government Community Cloud Moderate — the cloud used by many federal, state, and local agencies. In the escort process, a U.S. person is supposed to open the system while the India-based engineer guides the work. The whistleblower believes this raises urgent national security concerns and may violate FedRAMP requirements. Multiple Microsoft employees have reviewed the screenshots and confirmed they appear authentic. Viraj, has been confirmed to live in India-- Where he also attended and graduated college. The whistleblower is working on a public statement. I will release the whistleblowers statement when I receive it. Attached images are some of the screenshots that I received from the Whistleblower. @DHSgov @FBIDirectorKash @JDVance

PERM test, 24-hour check. Yesterday I applied by email to a PERM ad, a job an employer must advertise to Americans before sponsoring a green card. I'm a qualified U.S. applicant. It's a stretch fit for my background. The silence is the issue. Still no reply, not even a receipt: @onsemi Why it matters: with no receipt, an employer can later claim no American applied. Every silence goes on the record for review. Last week's silences are now in my filing with the Labor Department's Inspector General. Support the American System 🇺🇸

Still no reply, not even a receipt: @GileadSciences (2 roles) @sigmacomputing @CBRE @DEShawGroup Why it matters: with no receipt, an employer can later claim no American applied. That's possible fraud in the labor-market test, and every silence goes on the record for review. We heard back from Lam Research and aren't reporting them. Things are moving, and we're tracking every step. TikTok has been responsive. One employer held a phone screen. Appian answered with screening questions. An answered application is how we know the seat was really open. Heard nothing? Report it to the DOL OIG hotline @USLaborIG. Want to apply to PERM ads yourself? Have a Grok Bot account? "This is not a petri dish experiment for Social Darwinism, in which the better student gets the job. It’s about price and paperwork. An employer who hires an OPT worker skips having to pay their share of Social Security and Medicare taxes, ultimately a 15% discount for every foreign graduate hired through the program." Corporates aren't cutting costs. They're cutting people. Amazon fired 30,000. Meta fired 8,000. Cisco fired 4,000 on the same day it posted record revenue. Salesforce gutted support from 9,000 to 5,000. Then they spent $725B on AI. No crisis, no losses. Just hunger. My theory: to them, intelligence is tokens, execution is agents, and you were always a line item waiting to be deleted. Record profits. Empty desks. Bigger buybacks. Your loyalty paid for their GPUs. This is the new code.

Getting laid off and then being offered COBRA health insurance for ONLY $2,800 a month. Because obviously, when someone loses their income, the first thing they can afford is nearly $3,000 a month just to keep their health insurance. Make it make sense.

Americans are moving back in with their parents in their thirties. They're getting roommates in their forties. They're postponing buying homes, getting married, and starting families. And they're doing it while working full-time jobs. We spent decades telling people that getting an education and working hard would lead to financial independence. Now financial independence is starting to look like something you need wealthy parents to achieve.

Just to be clear, if you are an HR representative or a manager who is hiring H-1B workers or offshoring American jobs to India you are a filthy traitor.

🇮🇳This india-born congressman proves why foreign born and first gen immigrants must be banned from Congress. He has convinced 60% of Congress to designate JULY - OUR NATION'S annual founding month as Indian American Heritage Month! The GALL. The HUBRIS of these third-world immigrants!! GET THIS: “Indian Americans have helped shape this country for generations…to honor that legacy and celebrate the many ways Indian Americans continue to enrich our country.” Says, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi I want to vomit.🤮
Indian-born Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi introduces a bipartisan resolution to designate July as “Indian American Heritage Month,” backed by nearly 60% of the House. Krishnamoorthi says more than 5.2 million “Indian Americans” live in the US, declaring: “Indian Americans have helped shape this country for generations…to honor that legacy and celebrate the many ways Indian Americans continue to enrich our country.” Follow: @AFpost

$PYPL: 2,000+ jobs cut this year, 25%+ of managers gone, and their profit outlook was raised anyway. Next they expect $1.5B more in savings with AI agents in customer service the next few years. Fintech copycats will follow this success. Middle management watch out!
I heard PayPal's CEO say AI lets them do in 18 months what used to take three or four years. His plan: "reduce manager layers." In San Jose, 251 people, nearly 50 of them directors, leave Oct 30. Here's what he said on stage and what he left out.

🚨 U.S. EMPLOYMENT-BASED GREEN CARD BACKLOG SURGES 32% IN JUST 8 MONTHS. Pending applications: • December 2025: 199,984 • June 2026: 283,367 • August 2026: 263,975 That’s nearly 64,000 MORE pending applications. What’s driving the increase? More applications or slower USCIS processing? Annual green card limits? How many are workers versus dependents? Are employers sponsoring foreign workers while laying off Americans? What’s really behind this surge? permtracker.app/tools/i485-q…

As a country, are really dumb and gutless to a point where we allow some random Microsoft GCC worker out of India to monitor production logs of cloud data from our federal agencies?! This insane! Even if the approval is "temporary." You cannot trust Indian executives to not flip.
‼️MICROSOFT WHISTLEBLOWERS PUBLIC STATEMENT: “It is a national security risk to allow workers in foreign countries access to US government clouds and data. As ProPublica revealed, the escort model is just administrative. Escorts don't prevent foreign developers from taking harmful actions. This needs to change.” — MSFT Whistleblower My opinion: The whistleblower has came forward with valid concerns. I hope the U.S. Gov looks into this. @DHSgov @CISAgov @FBI

$META wants $95 billion from shareholders. Meta spends billions on Nvidia chips. Now Nvidia and two other chipmakers want up to $5 billion of Meta's new stock. Rather a cozy arrangement isn’t it? Three days ago I forecast another 1,500 to 3,000 Meta jobs through Q1 2027. Closer to 5,000 in the aggressive case. That money has to come from somewhere. Headcount is usually the first place they look. Did you see the Microsoft voluntary exit offer yesterday? Tie that to their capex… and yeah you have some wild stories here.
$META: Another 1,500–3,000 jobs could be on the chopping block. That’s my forecast through Q1 2027. A more aggressive scenario puts the number closer to 5,000. Engineering and Product are showing the largest numerical contraction in my workforce data. But I’m seeing something else: HR, Operations, and Program Management are shrinking alongside them. That suggests something bigger than isolated cost-cutting…. and I suspect Zuckerberg is redesigning the organization. I will keep watching and refining this as I see a trigger.

The H-1B, H-4 and L-1 visa are nearing the end of the road. Each new visa created by the State Department is nitro fuel to all the millions of people who want to strip out the India-First Republicans now in power and boot them out. India-First does not survive in a one-party situation. And next week you're going to see this confirmed in the voting results in Texas, where Senator John Cornyn (R-H1B) was booted out of his political career earlier this ear. This isn't a fluke. We have way too many fucking Indians, almost all the ones who have come over in the past 6 years have been the village idiots, and we want them removed. Not just end-the-H-1B, we want these people physically removed from America. And it isn't limited to "far right" and "white nationalists". Go talk to anybody who has sent out 2,000 or more resumes right now and listen to what they have to say. You are going to bend and obey to this new reality, because you have no other choice. Over the coming months, you're going to see companies adjust to this reality. They have to; the Trump Administration has dramatically raised the burden in immigration processing and more barriers are coming.
