岩手県上閉伊郡大槌町（かみへいぐんおおつちちょう）で発生している林野火災について、自衛隊は、昨日（23日）、自衛隊ヘリ全体で116回・約296トンの空中消火を実施しました。
本日（24日）は、昨日の態勢にCH-47大型ヘリを１機増強し、朝４時台から空中消火を開始しており、陸自第９飛行隊（八戸）のUH-1、陸自第１ヘリコプター団（木更津）及び空自三沢ヘリコプター空輸隊（三沢）のCH-47大型ヘリ最大６機態勢で対応しています。
また、現場からの映像をリアルタイムで共有するUH-1も活動を行っており、昨日に引き続き、情報収集に当たっています。
火勢の拡大防止と早期の沈静化を図るため、状況の変化に即応しながら、地域の皆様の平和な暮らしを守り抜くため、全力で対応してまいります。
