I've spent 16 months collating, reorganizing and beginning to scan the original military records of the AVG FTA Flying Tigers. The effort has been almost exclusively absorbed by hardcopy. The originals are delicate and most are already damaged. Looking at the massive effort of dealing with the terabytes of digital information, I was facing months of work with the product of digitization. @bot has come to the rescue. Faster than I can input the data, the complicated and error prone task of managing it afterwards is now done for me, better than I can do it myself. I highly recommend engaging this incredibly efficient and diversely talented SI in every endeavor.

Democrats also won every statewide race on the ballot Again, they did this after processing 1,410,905 new valid voter registrations without proof of citizenship - This is from the Official Election Administration and Voting Comprehensive Report buried on page 192

My dear friend John Nosta has passed away. This is a hard one on me. He was such a dear friend. His was such a brilliant mind and such a polymath. John Nosta entered university work at sixteen. He enrolled in an advanced summer program at Harvard University. His father, an electrical engineer in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, had wanted a doctor for a son. The summer tested that path. I have known John long enough to recognize the pattern that began there. He measured first. Around those years he served as president of the Perth Amboy First Aid Squad and trained as a paramedic. The work put him in acute care, among Spanish-speaking neighbors, reading the immediate mechanics of heart and survival. At Boston University he designed his own concentration in biophysics. He left for a year as a research associate at Harvard Medical School. There he joined groups studying cell volume regulation in ventricular myocardium, acute myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmias, and sudden cardiac death. Mentors included Thomas Smith, then chief of cardiology at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. The papers appeared while he was still an undergraduate: one in the American Journal of Physiology in 1981 on hydrostatic forces limiting swelling of rat ventricular tissue, others in Circulation and the American Journal of Cardiology the same year and the next. Smith advised an MD/PhD. John considered it and declined. He has said he went to college to study physiology but found his interests expanding into creativity, art, and philosophy, and that the conversations at Harvard ranged beyond the medical details into geopolitics, love, and art. He finished the degree at Boston University in 1981 and left the laboratory. His parents were not pleased. He moved toward writing and the translation of science into other forms. That sequence set the measure I later saw in our conversations. John held the clinical questions of volume, ischemia, and failure as a fixed reference while he examined later technologies. He wrote more than a thousand pieces on technology, medicine, and the mind. When he published The Borrowed Mind, I recognized the same generous, fearless intellect that had appeared in our talks over the years: the insistence that human thought remains the author’s own even when the tools become fluent. He called listening to certain technical accounts exponential learning. I called him a national treasure genius. Both judgments rest on the same early evidence: the summer at sixteen, the year of peer-reviewed work before the degree, and the decision to keep the questions open rather than close them inside a single profession. The public record continues from that point. God rest your soul John. John Nosta died following an aortic aneurysm. Prayers to his amazing Amy, and children Katie, Annabel, Jack, and his greater family.

I went to the Secretary of State today to get my new ID with my correct name and sex. As I handed the clerk helping my countless documents, I explained to him that I once believed that I was trans when I was a teenager. He looked up and told me that I wouldn't believe how frequently people come in to correct their documents because they used to believe they were trans. Detransitioners are facing consequences from the advice of "trans allies" everywhere. Most deal with them and detransition in silence.

New York repealed its religious exemption for school vaccines in 2019, then fined three one-room Amish schools $118,000. Their lawyer surveyed the roughly 160 children at those schools. You'd expect about nine cases of asthma alone. What they found instead: those children had zero of the chronic conditions plaguing American kids. 🧵

According to the Quran, Islam sees Jews and Christians as people whose beliefs justify conflict. And to them, the gravest sin is the claim that Jesus is God. We cannot co-exist in the USA. Just my opinion.
America now has 11 Muslim mayors, 98 Muslim city council members, 32 Muslim state representatives, 14 Muslim state senators, and 6 members of Congress. This won't end well.

SpaceX is calling on the FCC to END billions of dollars in outdated broadband subsidies In a new regulatory filing, SpaceX is challenging legacy High-Cost programs that continue sending more than $3 BILLION annually to incumbent providers And SpaceX made it very clear what these programs really are: “These mechanisms are corporate welfare programs, not broadband programs” Here's what SpaceX put on the record: • More than $3 BILLION annually continues flowing through legacy High-Cost subsidies and Enhanced A-CAM • Subsidized service areas cover just 5% of U.S. broadband-serviceable locations, based on boundaries dating back to 1984 • No measurable difference in broadband subscription rates between subsidized areas and comparable high-cost areas outside them • Competitive fixed wireless, cable and next-generation satellite broadband are increasingly serving these communities without the same legacy subsidies • Millions of Americans still struggle with broadband affordability, while existing Lifeline assistance remains underfunded And this is where Starlink changes the equation High-speed, low-latency satellite internet is reaching remote communities without requiring traditional broadband infrastructure to be built to every home SpaceX is challenging the idea that taxpayers should continue funding legacy programs indefinitely when newer technologies and competition are changing how rural America gets connected The message to the FCC is simple: Stop protecting outdated subsidy structures and redirect those billions toward programs that actually benefit consumers

SpaceX will attempt to catch both the Super Heavy booster and Starship on the upcoming flight. If both are successful, it will mark the first time that all parts of an orbital rocket return to Earth intact. This is the critical breakthrough needed to make life multiplanetary.
More than a dozen flight tests and years of development, with countless hours worked by SpaceX engineers and technicians, all come down to this: the first orbital Starship launch carrying advanced Starlink satellites bound for space. Watch “Go For Orbit” and experience the moments behind flying the most ambitious Starship mission yet

THIS. 100% this. And what about the drone operator who blew narcoterrorists out of the water? How long before he or she is downstream of this? This is an attempt to basically corrupt our entire military in a gradual serious of attacks.
🚨🚨 DEMOCRACY FILES / THE ILLEGITIMACY PLAYBOOK, PART 15: HEGSETH'S IMPEACHMENT IS THE TROJAN HORSE. TRUMP IS THE REAL TARGET. 🚨 There is one fundamental principle of American military command: Our military answers to civilian authority. And at the top of the chain of commands sits the President of the United States. In other words, Pete Hegseth answers to President Donald Trump. Pete Hegseth's articles of impeachments are that he is following unlawful orders issued by President Trump himself. Senator Mark Kelly, the ringleader of the Seditious Six, says this explicitly. According to Kelly, six of the eight articles of impeachment against Hegseth concern his alleged compliance with illegal orders from President Trump. Read that again. Six of eight articles are premised on that President Trump himself issued illegal orders. Ask yourself this question: If Hegseth needs impeachment for following Trump's alleged unlawful orders... ... What does that imply about President Trump himself? Exactly. The goal of removing Hegseth has always been to remove Trump from office. Hegseth is the opening move. His entire downstream chain of command will be next. This will be a single-handed turnover of the entire military structure, remade in the image of those who have been plotting against Trump all along. Then the ultimate target: President Trump himself. When I told you Hegseth was the only obstacle in a coup, I meant it. Don't take my word for it. Watch them, in their own words:

Joe Gebbia and Elon Musk brought me into OPM to modernize a federal retirement system buried under 400 million pieces of paper and decades of bureaucracy. I spent a year working alongside career civil servants, learning their processes and systems. I quickly discovered how agencies get locked into contracts for egregiously outdated software. In order for retirement processing to be better, we needed to rebuild it from the ground up, with a system the agency could own and operate itself. OPM Director @skupor gave us room to challenge old assumptions, make decisions, and execute. In just a few months, we rolled out the Online Retirement Application government-wide, eliminating recurring vendor fees and giving retiring federal employees a faster, easier way to start their retirement - digitally, for the first time ever. I trained the in-house team to maintain and operate the system themselves, and we celebrated our wins together. And then I left. That’s how modernization should work. There are still so many outdated systems that desperately need modernization. Yet everywhere you look, agencies are stuck with aging vendor-built software where contractors charge millions and take weeks just to change a button. Reimagining how government works takes more than Claude subscriptions. It takes the vision to rethink old processes, the experience to build something better, and the resolve to see things through. That’s why I’m taking what I learned at OPM and setting out to do it again across the federal government with my new company, GovMaxxing. I’m bringing together the best talent I’ve worked with in Silicon Valley: proven builders who’ve shipped products millions of Americans use every day and can’t wait to bring that same world-class execution to government. We have no interest in becoming another contractor collecting checks indefinitely to maintain software that should belong to the American people. We want to come in, solve the problem, train federal employees, and equip our institutions to own their solutions, leaving them more capable long after we’re gone, with something they’re proud to stand behind. GovMaxxing maximizes what government is capable of. And then leaves. govmaxxing.com
