Neera Tanden had SO MUCH to say about Hasan Piker regarding how she perceived him to be “inserting himself as an El-Sayed surrogate,” but when Haley Stevens’ fiancé on mainstream outlets says he’s voting for Rogers (who supports a NATIONAL ABORTION BAN)—and Stevens herself threatens to withhold her support for El-Sayed—Tanden apparently has nothing to say.🤔

It’s not just about election ratfucking. “Will you condemn?” is an effective strategy to keep Israel’s critics on the defensive so that Israel’s supporters never have to answer for what they’re supporting.
El-Sayed drops Stevens from campaign event

Thank you @nytimes. It's really important we hear about this failed candidate and obvious party wrecker four days before the most important midterm in our lifetime.
Haley Stevens tells The New York Times that she is considering converting to Judaism.

Even Olivia Julianna telling her to shut the fuck up.
I’m just gonna leave this here- a congresswoman who flipped a Trump district to win a competitive election is painfully aware that condemning an ad less than a week out from an election will not be what makes or breaks a campaign. This is an intentional attack against Abdul El-Sayed and should be treated as an attack against the Senate majority.
Goodbye loser.

Hi @jonlovett — Which specific claim in this sequence of events touched on in the ad is “antisemitic”:
1 — Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump, and several members of Congress say in the days after the Iran War begins that they struck Iran because Iran was going to strike Israel. Netanyahu famously met with the president and his inner circle in the situation room to pitch them on the war he has been advocating for over the last 40 years. This is reported in various outlets including NYT. It has also been reported that the intelligence they provided us about Iran's ICBM and nuclear capabilities was knowingly false.
2 — Upon the war beginning, Iran took control over the Strait of Hormuz, which they had not previously controlled, disrupting the supply chain.
3 — This development led to rising prices across the board, including at the grocery store. It has already been widely reported that one of those groceries which has seen a dramatic increase is bananas, the fruit referenced in that ad.
Therefore, using inductive reasoning, did Israel pushing us to join them in the war against Iran and lying directly to our leaders in order to facilitate that involvement not literally lead to higher banana prices less than a year later?
The ad is anti-Semitic. (Also pretty glib and tasteless, but whatever!) I'm not lying or paid to say this. I don't equate being anti-Israel with being anti-Semitic. but also not saying the word "Jewish" isn't the one weird trick you want it to be.
Only good that can come from you promoting yourself at the expense of Abdul's campaign in the final days of an election where the stakes are so high is that you've created an opportunity for Abdul to denounce the ad and demonstrate his commitment to opposing anti-Semitism on the left and representing Jewish voters in Michigan as a Senator.

Abdul El-Sayed may underperform the generic ballot by a few % and all the usual suspects will insist it was because he was too progressive or whatever and just ignore that a huge chunk of his own fucking party has been openly trying to torpedo his campaign

I expected it. @MalloryMcMorrow from the beginning was a great candidate, a genuine democrat, and someone who sees the bigger picture. @HaleyforMI is a liar who fabricated my endorsement, sent her goons to threaten me and my career if I didn’t take down my post my “future in politics” would be at risk, and still has NEVER called and apologized for lying about my endorsement.
I’m so sick of this. I want democrats to WIN.

I'm not being cute here, either, I genuinely think Haley Stevens and her husband, Neera Tanden, Jon Chait, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and the rest of them are knowingly helping Donald Trump and that it's despicable.

Any Democrat who has said anything critical about AES in public since he clinched the nomination is objectively pro-Trump and should be treated as such going forward. If the shoe was on the other foot they'd be saying that about us, and they'd have a point.

Based as all hell response here. She lost and she's trying to hurt his campaign in exchange for a ridiculous concession. Good to see Abdul does not negotiate with political terrorists.

They know he is going to win. They're goal is to lower his margin as much as possible so they can put caveats on his victory.

He's on the right side of an 80/20 issue and this sect of the establishment wants him to side with the 20. She's in no position to make demands and he should not bend to political terrorists who want to hurt his campaign.
Scoop: El-Sayed’s campaign is asking Stevens to stay away from all future campaign events in the closing days of the race, two people familiar with the decision told POLITICO,

Haley overreached with her hostage taking demands. Good for Abdul.
