WE don't have a country 🧐
BREAKING NEWS: The three Ethiopian nationals who are accused of the attempted murder that led to riots and torching of cars and businesses in the Durban CBD three weeks ago have been freed on R5000 bail by the Durban Magistrate’s Court. The State wanted them to remain behind bars, saying they are flight risks, but the defence disagreed. The State said they won’t be safe outside, but the defence argued that all three accused literally live minutes away from three police stations in the Durban CBD and their safety is guaranteed. The Magistrate remarked that the three are asylum seekers and as such, they enjoy the same constitutional rights as South Africans and freed them on bail with stringent conditions. Furthermore, the State tried to point out discrepancies in their passports and asylum documents, raising issues of possible fraud and corruption. However, the State’s argument was watered down by evidence that was given by an immigration official who told the court that their systems have glitches and sometimes it loses records, hence they don’t have some of the information required for the court to take an informed decision - KZN Tonight Podcast

Very powerful… A woman can summon armies & bring nations to war!
“But I can say probably the only person that like inspires me and keeps me going probably my husband, because he understands everything that we’re doing and why,” March and March Movement leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma “Even for him it was difficult at first. He did not want me to do this, he flat-out refused but I think God talked to him somehow, eventually softened his heart, and here we are today,” @JacintaNgobese Jacinta says her husband, Xolani Zuma, inspires her Video Credit - Let's Fix SA podcast

Black people will want to perform a traditional ceremony that may involve animal slaughter at their homes but won’t be able to because it contravenes “estate rules” or makes the neighbours “uncomfortable”. For some reason, they just comply and go elsewhere.

Our Indian neighbour once called the police on me for slaughtering a goat on new year. Told the police it’s a tradition to slaughter and eat fresh meat. She said it’s animal abuse.

its illegal to protest now as a South African.
Peaceful protest is a constitutional right. Violence, looting and intimidation are crimes. Those accused must receive a fair trial. The State has a duty to protect lives, property and public order. #GovZAUpdates

Tensions high in KZN right now. The province has no senior voice at the executive level of government, and the ANC top 7 has no KZN leader. Leaderless, voiceless at the country’s highest table. That void is felt in real time. KZN residents are the most targeted, and instead of engagement, the response has been threats of arrest and violence. That is backwards. You engage with March + March leaders you don’t criminalize them for marching. You can’t ignore Jacinta forever it will not work. The government has a responsibility to sit down and talk. Courts are not for engagement. They are for adjudication. Using them as a substitute for dialogue is an admission that leadership has failed. Deploying the Army simply means, the people of KZN are the problem. You will rather use force against your people. KZN needs presence at the table, not handcuffs at the gate….
WATCH | President Cyril Ramaphosa says attacks on businesses will not be tolerated. He says concerns over illegal immigration must not be used as a pretext for criminality or to pit communities against one another. He adds that investment cannot thrive where there's lawlessness.
