So this morning around 5:30 AM, I was already on my way out when a jeep passed me, stopped ahead, and offered me a lift. I told him I was just heading to the junction down the road to catch my usual public bus. He said I should jump in. Before getting in, I asked him: "Can I see your face? I’ve not seen you before." Tell me why this man got offended and asked if I didn't know him! I said no. Then he goes: "So you think I’m a kidnapper?" 💀 In my mind, I’m thinking... do kidnappers write "KIDNAPPER" on their foreheads?! I just told him I like to know whose car I’m stepping into. He then told me if I don't know him, I shouldn't bother getting in, and I said "Thank you" and walked away. Now I’m asking you guys: Did I do anything wrong by asking to see his face before entering a stranger's car at 5:30 AM? What do you think? 🤔

These cars with auto brake systems will finish us in this Lagos ooo. The way Lagosians just cross the road like they are immune to accidents is just something else. These cars react to human and object presence, and to avoid hitting anyone, the emergency brake aggressively applies itself. Making the unsuspecting driver behind ram into the car in front (especially if their car is not equipped with such a system too) 2nd accident in 1 month🫩🫩🫩
