🚨BREAKING: The Online Safety Amendment (Digital Duty of Care) Bill 2026 has passed in the House of Representatives by Labor, Independents and the Greens. 96 YES, 38 NO. Voted against by Liberals, Nationals, One Nation and Rebekha Sharkie. Andrew Hastie didn’t appear at any divisions. This bill will force online businesses to conduct annual risk assessments, report to eSafety and face penalties for non-compliance. It gives the government power to influence platform design features and impose age-assurance requirements. It authorises eSafety to operate covert “sock puppet” accounts for government surveillance and information warfare. It will classify content that “encourages or promotes hostile attitudes towards women or gender equality” as harmful, including legitimate criticism of feminism. Public hearings are set for 9–10 November, with the inquiry report due 20 November. The bill must still pass the Senate.

Meta had an internal PR plan to try and discredit Jon Haidt because he was a critic of social media. Meta was going to recruit academics, like Andrew Gelman, to write take down pieces. They were trying to turn academics against one another through a "whisper strategy". This is a very serious problem for open academic debate. If academics who share negative evidence about a platform are targeted by campaigns to smear our credibility, we are in deep, deep trouble. This creates a very serious conflict of interest for anyone who is paid to do this. law360.com/articles/2542517/…

BIG SISTER IS WATCHING YOU: ORWELL’S 1984 COMES TO AUSTRALIA IN 2026 George Orwell warned us about a society where government controls information, monitors citizens, manipulates language and decides which ideas are acceptable. Seventy-seven years after 1984 was published, Australia is heading in a deeply troubling direction. Except our version of Big Brother would be called BIG SISTER. Consider the extraordinary concentration of power exercised by Anika Wells, Michelle Rowland, Tanya Plibersek, Ged Kearney, eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant and others across government. Look at the direction of travel: 🔴 THE MINISTRY OF TRUTH: Labor attempted to legislate against “misinformation”. That bill failed, but the ambition to regulate online information continues. 🔴 THE THOUGHT POLICE: The proposed Digital Duty of Care regime would pressure platforms to anticipate and mitigate broadly defined harms. Who decides which opinions are harmful? Big Sister, of course. 🔴 BIG SISTER’S SECRET AGENTS: Proposed powers for eSafety to use fictitious online identities, including AI-generated material, raise disturbing questions about covert monitoring and accountability. 🔴 THE MEMORY HOLE: Content removal, algorithmic suppression and search restrictions can make inconvenient information disappear from public view. 🔴 THE TELESCREEN: Age verification, digital monitoring and compulsory information-gathering increasingly threaten the anonymity Australians once enjoyed online. 🔴 THE MINISTRY OF PROPAGANDA: The ABC and SBS receive billions in public funding, while Labor is expanding subsidies for commercial journalism. How independent can our information ecosystem remain when government increasingly finances it? 🔴 NEWSPEAK AND DOUBLETHINK: Censorship becomes “safety”. Monitoring becomes “protection”. Restrictions become “duty of care”. Ideological conformity becomes “inclusion”. And questioning government-approved narratives risks being labelled “harmful”. Here is the fundamental transformation: Australia is moving from regulating specific unlawful online acts toward regulating the CONDITIONS under which information is made available, recommended, encountered and assessed for potential harm... The information-control architecture is being transformed from punishing unlawful acts toward proactively managing the information environment, using regulatory powers, financial incentives, technological monitoring and ever-expanding definitions of harm. That's an extraordinary shift in power from citizens to the state. And Big Sister wants to take us there. Australia is not yet Orwell's Oceania. We retain elections, independent courts and the freedom to challenge government. But the direction of travel is unmistakably concerning... The danger isn't merely what today's politicians intend. It's the machinery of information control they're building for tomorrow's governments. Freedom isn't something that governments generously grant us. It is something citizens must defend against government overreach. Orwell wrote 1984 as a WARNING. Australia must not turn it into an instruction manual. #1984 #GeorgeOrwell #BigSister #FreeSpeech #Censorship #Australia #eSafety #CivilLiberties

Shane Gillis's SNL joke wasn't nearly as bad as that time that Norm Macdonald said that women are idiots and that men are a higher evolved species. That seems like it's way more offensive. And yet, I don't remember anyone getting all out of shape about it... Oh, wait. Except that Norm Macdonald never said that. It was actually comedian Michelle Wolf in her Netflix special in which she had a whole set about how men are idiots and women are a higher evolved species. Nobody tried to cancel her for that... If you want to know who ranks in a privileged position in society, just ask yourself who you're not allowed to criticise or make fun of. For as long as I I've lived and can remember, men have been way more likely to end up as the punchline of derogatory jokes and stereotypes without consequence... And here are the excerpts from Michelle Wolf’s Netflix stand-up special called Joke Show: “I actually think we’re a higher evolved species of human than men. … I don’t think we recognise that men are just dumb idiots and we have to remind them of things. … For every man who’s like, ‘I’m not an idiot.’ Shut up, I’m trying to help you, you stupid idiot!” Wolf's routine goes beyond an isolated joke. She repeatedly presents women as intellectually and emotionally superior, while portraying men as unintelligent, inconsiderate and socially incompetent. It's sexist and bigoted. Comedy should have considerable freedom to offend. But equality means applying the same standards of dignity and respect to both sexes; not treating contempt for men as automatically acceptable while condemning comparable contempt for women... The putting forward of a Bill against misogyny, but not misandry, is itself a manifestation of misandry.

As sad and disheartening as ‘men’s issues’ are, there is actually something worse… And that is: the chronic lack of political will and interest in addressing such issues. For example, male suicide remains the biggest risk to life for all men under fifty, claiming more than half a million (!!) men’s lives worldwide each year. That number is impossibly large, and truly staggering. But what is somehow more shocking, is that when national plans are announced to help combat suicide – such as earlier this month in Italy – somehow suicidal men are routinely left in the cold, with women made a ‘priority’ group instead. That’s right… Despite men being 78% of suicides in Italy, women will be one of the primary beneficiaries of Italia’s recently announced ‘National Plan for Suicide Prevention’ instead. And for me, that is the most shocking part of this whole space...

According to feminists and gynocentrists, men are obligated to: Leave women alone Not speak to a woman until spoken to ... unless a woman is attracted to them and then they are obligated to approach her and ask her out, and you should know the difference without being told and without relying on any social cues because those don't necessarily mean she's interested. Find all women everywhere equally attractive and sexy and rate them all 10s ... except for their female partner who is the only 10 and every other woman is a 0. ... also don't you dare expect the same courtesy from her. Have big feelings, talk about them and show them in public ... except when it's inconvenient for women or you have the wrong feelings according to women, which is always. Be egalitarian ... except on dates, when they're obligated to take her somewhere expensive and pay the entire bill themselves. ... and except when there's violence and risk of injury. ... and except when there's work to do that is dirty, dangerous, or disturbing. ... and except when it comes to spending his money. ... and except when a situation creates inconvenience or discomfort, because you're a gentleman and that's sooooooooo romantic. Be attractive, financially "fit," and fun and interesting to be around ...but not expect the same from a female prospective partner. ... also don't you dare expect that to make any women more receptive to your advances. Stay out of women's spaces and create their own male spaces instead of complaining ... but also make women welcome into those spaces. ... also male only spaces are creepy and misogynistic and gaaaaaaaaay, so don't have them. Have male friends and support each other like women do ... except for all of the frienemy shit that women do to each other. ... also except when a woman is mad at one of them. ... also only wife or girlfriend approved friends. ... also don't spend any time with them because that's robbing her of your time and also it's totally gaaaaaaaaay so just call each other friends but don't hang out. Be willing to die or sacrifice anything and everything you value to protect women ... but don't expect women to ever admit you do anything like that. ... also don't expect any remote kind of consideration in return. ... also how dare you think women can't do that for themselves, you stark raving misogynist. Marry a woman and dedicate your life and your heart to her, love and support her, be loyal to her, be emotionally available for her and sexually exclusive with her and never cheat, be romantic, earn enough to support her lifestyle choices regardless of whether she wants to work outside the home or be a full time homemaker ... but don't expect any intimacy in your intimate relationship, you rapist. ... also don't expect loyalty and sexual exclusivity because you don't own her. ... also don't expect your wife to care about you or anything to do with your life because that's emotional labor. ... also don't expect her to contribute to paying the bills if she earns a paycheck. ...also you are obligated to do half of the housework because egalitarianism and shit. ... also don't get upset when she divorces you. ... also when she does you owe her everything for anything she thinks she did during the marriage. ... also don't expect any custody rights in the divorce because only women are real parents and only feminine styles of parenting count. ... also if you do get shareed custody don't expect her to abide by the custody order because that's unfair to her, and she she can refuse to let them go with you when it's your time because its inconvenient for her but if you are 5 minutes late returning the kids to her when it's her time with them that's kidnapping and you're a monster. ... also don't be sad or depressed about anyone or anything you lose or any burden the divorce imposes on you and especially don't become suicidally depressed because that's so abusive toward your ex wife, you monster!

The most performed medical surgery in America, is mutiliating a baby boys genitals. Think about that. A baby boy being mutilated, for no meaningful medical reason, and often with no anesthetic, is the most performed medical procedure in the States. Further – Men in prison experience the highest rates of sexual violence, of any group, and not only do we rarely bother to record this data, let alone intervene, but we openly laugh about it. Despite being abused by the millions, male victims of partner violence are left in the cold, sharing just a handful of specialist refuges in the whole of North America (2); and any attempt to address this, draws screams and squeals of outrage, ironically, by the domestic violence industry itself. A woman can slap a man in public, and nobody blinks and eye; if a man does that to a woman in public, you can expect half a dozen people to quickly confront and subdue him. Boys who are groomed and raped by female teachers, parents, or family friends, are called "lucky" and otherwise ignored. Whilst in many countries, it is still legally impossible for a woman to rape a man at all. If that is not the "normalisation of violence", then I don't know what is...

I think there is a mental health crisis and growing aggressive behavior among women, and it is being propagated by our failure to teach girls self-control when we are young. We are not teaching women consequences and accountability anymore, so we are relying on men to be the ones to control themselves. Everyone needs to be held accountable for their own actions, not just one gender.

This is an interesting note about the Christian notion of original sin, and the story behind it. I've pointed out before that Eve's first sin was vanity. @brony_veikkoni has pointed out that according to scripture, God directly admonished Adam against eating the forbidden fruit, but we don't see that admonishment given to Eve. So I looked. He's right. She had to have received that information from Adam, her husband. Notice, in fact, that she had an addendum: "nor shall you touch it." That's the kind of thing a person tells someone when warning against a danger they want to ensure the person they're warning doesn't mess with out of some foolish notion like curiosity. You make the punishment for a lesser offence (touching it) bad enough you hope it will deter them from graduating to the greater offence (eating it.) Eve took the fruit, not because the serpent convinced her that it was safe, but because she chose to believe his argument that it would make her superior (like God) rather than to believe her husband and obey the rule he gave her. Eve disobeyed God when she ate the fruit. She disobeyed her husband when she touched the fruit. If she had obeyed her husband, she wouldn't have touched the fruit, and therefore wouldn't have eaten it. If she hadn't been vain, she wouldn't have wanted to be superior because it would have had no value to her. She wouldn't have decided it was more important than trusting and obeying her husband, much less trusting and obeying her God. She first thought she knew better than her husband and disobeyed a command he gave her with great emphasis (don't even touch it!) and then she disobeyed God, thinking the fruit would put her on equal footing with him. She only gave it to Adam afterward, when she had the knowledge and understood the gravity of what she'd done. She knew she had sinned, and she chose to drag him down with her. She centered herself, her wants, her needs, her ego, deliberately disobeyed the only rule under which she was bound, and then reached out like a drowning person to drag down her partner so she wouldn't go alone. The first woman's first sin was gynocentrism. Next, consider Adam. He knew what God told him. He knew Eve had just disobeyed him, and then God, and yet he gave in to her rather than push back against "her" arguments, which came from the serpent, custom made to coddle her ego. In other words, he didn't challenge her ego, but took her hand when she reached out to him. He centered Eve, her wants, her needs, and her ego, probably to keep peace with her. He disobeyed God to feed his wife's narcissism. The first man's first sin, in conjunction with that of the first woman, was gynocentrism. What is gynocentrism? Female narcissism. My dudes, that is the original sin. In a nutshell, it's disobedience out of vanity/narcissism, and the very first instance of it was fueled by gynocentrism. Women are not God. We're not "goddesses." We're not even angels. Or "angels." If you're not a believer, you might not find much value in this message, but you might find it useful when conversing with gynocentric believers. If you are a believer, remember this. Women's fallibility doesn't make it wrong to be considerate in arguments and rationally examine talking points, and these things don't become wrong if the person you're talking to is a woman, but when you see women presenting themselves as tamers of men, civilizers of men, special guides who men should be listening to because femininity is somehow more moral than masculinity, you need to separate yourself from any gynocentricity your upbringing has instilled in you and consider whether you're being sold a woman's ego trip cleverly disguised as apple pie. It might just be full of bovine excrement. We're not better than you. We're not your moral authorities. We're just other sinners with the same bad ideas and a higher level of vanity to make us weaker against temptations. Don't let any woman sell you on a bad idea to keep peace, or be gentlemanly, or feel chivalric. Women and men do not uphold and support each other by creating a gynocentric hierarchy where women judge men but are above being judged themselves. A team leaning in one direction like that will curve off the path early and keep going in circles forever. Keep your eyes on the Lord, and if her words are pulling or pushing you out of alignment, don't tolerate that to keep peace. Either you correct the trajectory, or you let her go rather than letting her lead you astray. Evaluate. Vet our language for narcissistic ego and irrational arguments. Consult scripture. Pray. Don't mistake us for holy maidens who are above being questioned. There simply is no such person among the whole human race.

Hmm... Eve wasn't told directly by God. She was told by Adam, presumably. If she had been told directly by God, that would be mentioned in the story because that's not a small detail. So, when the serpent told her it's perfectly fine to eat the fruit, she had a choice between trusting her husband or trusting this somewhat dangerous (dark triad/sexy) stranger. She chose to trust the stranger. Scripture really does understand women.

Women go to therapy to pay another woman to tell them that they are beautiful and perfect and that the root of all their issues is that they don’t love themselves enough. Female on female therapy is just narcissism and misandry camps.

Helen Andrews just went there: We’ve handed far too much authority on gender and human nature to psychologists and academics — the same experts who spent decades claiming gender was purely socialization and that giving girls trucks would erase all stereotypes. Now they act shocked when common sense (and parents with actual sons and daughters) turns out to be right. When institutions prioritize academic credentials over lived reality and hard truths, we get policy and culture that don’t match how humans actually work. This hit hard. I’ve watched “experts” be confidently wrong about basic male/female differences for years, yet they’re still treated as the final authority. Sometimes real-world experience beats another study. Do you think we’ve given too much power to academics on gender issues?
