Thankfully there are enough new House Reps & new Senators to make DSA irrelevant. They never take the right lessons from obvious results. Attacking the Black & Jewish men who delivered an extinction level event wiping out Republicans until 2032. Like what is even happening?

255 seats makes the far left DSA elected members irrelevant. The wild part is the few DSA wins made them believe they have a mandate to make demands of moderate Democrats who just extinguished the GOP until 2032.
Rep Hakeem Jeffries will be Speaker & they will deal with it.

Medgar Evers was killed in his driveway because he refused to accept a Mississippi where some were denied the right to vote.
He stood with thousands who marched, organized and sacrificed so future generations could have a voice. We owe it to them not to take that right for granted. On Tuesday, honor their legacy. Vote.

NYT: An adviser to Jim Clyburn says Haley Stevens was still invited at Democratic unity event and rejected any notion that Abdul El-Sayed could pull her invitation.
“This is not Abdul’s event,” Mr. Seawright said Saturday afternoon, adding, “The invitation still stands.”

What a horrifying story. This father brought his son to the city just last year from Ghana for opportunity and a better life only to be shot and killed by school bullies. Youth gun violence is not talked about enough. The mayor should pay his respects to the family.
The father of a teen killed in a shooting in the Bronx spoke through tears as he remembered his son.

Over a century ago, thousands of Italian families arrived on the shores of New York City searching for a better life. Sicilians moved onto Elizabeth Street and Neapolitans laid down roots on Mulberry. Calabrians made homes on East 109th and their Baresi neighbors did the same on 112th. Even as they were told they were too foreign, too different, too working class, Italian New Yorkers made their mark on this great city -- from Mother Cabrini, to Fiorello LaGuardia, to Martin Scorsese, and countless more.
That history of greatness is felt in every neighborhood across every borough, and it was an honor to celebrate it at Gracie Mansion last night.

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

When your policies are born out of hostility toward property owners, this is what happens.
Isabel Adon bought into a co-op in the Bronx to build something for her children. Junior Gonzalez did it after serving in the Marines. They say overnight, the city of New York took it all with little to no notice or compensation, labeling their building "distressed" and transferring the deed to a nonprofit. This happened to hundreds of families, nearly all in minority communities. A $60 million settlement has been proposed, but the fight isn't over. Every family deserves the right to build generational wealth without fear of losing it.

How do you have the worst attendance? Have time to show up at the gym, do collabs with celebrities, make TikTok’s, campaign for endless candidates, do press photo shoots with your boyfriend… but not show up to the job you are elected and paid for ?
This is a big problem in the city. We often hear about Republicans and “old school” candidates but these folks are showing up to work. We need our Gen Z socialist folks showing up to their job as seriously as they take lighting in their TikToks…
I recently made a video (I’ll link below) about city and state officials being really loud about federal issues they have little influence over - while being lackluster on the things which they have the most control. Chi, should be at the top of the list for attendance - not the bottom… wait is he … nevermind

People see the riots in Paris but they don’t see the entrepreneurs quietly leaving.
When I started my company in Paris in 2016, I shared a startup incubator floor with other founders. Six out of ten now live in the Bay Area.
Not a week goes by without a message from another French entrepreneur moving here. We used to do welcome dinner with my wife but now we need to organize welcome party. Dozens more on LinkedIn/email asking how to leave. I can’t even reply to everyone anymore.
It’s painful to watch. The riots make headlines but the people leaving just pack their bags and go create jobs elsewhere.

October 7 is now enshrined in Jewish cultural memory as the defining act of violence against Jews in 21st Century, unleashing a culture of antisemitism on a scale unseen since the 30's and '40's, but this time dressed up in an antizionist costume.
Jews everywhere are still living in the shock wave of that day. When, or if, it settles is impossible to know.
For the victims of October 7, we remember the lives lost and terrible trauma of that day. We remember too the grieving families and all those who continue to live with its scars.
You will never be forgotten.

How many more people have to die in our subways in unprovoked attacks? Are we going to just pretend this is normal? People being burned alive, stabbed and shot to death on their way to work. Often it will be someone with a severe mental illness or another who a judge let out early. Who is going to be held to account?

We got an early taste of New York Magazine's new direction in the days after 10/7.
In September 2023, we got a call: my husband @BenZevG would be featured in @NYMag's list of the most powerful New Yorkers. A (lovely) reporter interviewed multiple people about our synagogue. Mark Peterson came to take pictures of services right after Yom Kippur. The piece was filed.
Then came 10/7. That Friday, we got another call. He'd been cut. "Editors got spooked," we were told.
This was a little story about a shul drawing young Jews back to faith. It had nothing to do with the Middle East. Overnight, New York Jews like us -- Orthodox, deeply connected to our ancestral homeland -- had become untouchable. It was chilling. I sensed, in that moment, that this would be the beginning of Jews being pushed out of cultural institutions, and eventually, erased.
So if you ever wondered why that list had 49 names instead of 50, now you know. They cut the rabbi.
