Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it is not over. The big orange balloon was a symptom of a cruel capitalist system that values profits more than people.
Democrats will win the midterms but the system that created and enabled Trump won’t change.
The only thing that is changing is the system will now have a more palatable face for the liberal class, which means there will be less resistance to the horrors of capitalism and imperialism.
It also means things won’t get better under the Democrats because they serve the exact same capitalist and imperialist system as Republicans. This is the insanity of the duopoly that voters can’t seem to figure out.
With that said, no matter how bad things get I will always believe a better world is possible. I am just realistic in that this better world cannot be born from the system that created the decaying world we inhabit now.
It can only be born from the people rising up together and fighting for a new system that puts our people and communities first.

abdul el sayed and every muslim person around him has been called a radical islamic jihadist terrorist every single day by the entire political spectrum since he won the primary and i haven’t seen a single think piece or major media interview of an arab voter abt how this makes them feel. arab and muslim voters combined make up almost 4% of the electorate. jewish voters make up 1.4% & many of those jewish voters aren’t zionists or will let israel get in the way of preserving american democracy. so we’ve heard endlessly from a tiny group of potential spoiler voters who aren’t getting their way on a deeply unpopular issue- why?
