“Prince William says UK faces terrifying risk of more wildfires due to climate change.” Yet, the Royal Family's two newly leased AgustaWestland helicopters flew 58,000 miles (420 flying hours) between February and November 2025. Prince William has taken a helicopter 47 times to Windsor and 5 (so far) to his new home, Forest Lodge - flying to multiple locations every single month - including a 40-mile flight to an event. Meanwhile, us plebs are told to only boil the exact amount of water we need in a kettle.

Was just perfect, beautiful. True humanity.
Lot of talk about the John Lewis Christmas ad. The problem is no supermarket can ever top what Sainsbury’s did in 2014. To commemorate the centenary of the Christmas Day truce during the First World War in 1914. Done with cooperation from the Royal British Legion. And military historians. m.youtube.com/watch?v=NWF2JB…

🚨Roy Keane on on Jesús Owono’s life-ending challenge on Jesús de Miguel during the FC Andorra vs Tenerife match: 🗣️ “The goalkeeper’s allowed to come out. That’s his job. But not like that. Not with the knee up like that, not at that speed, not with that much force when a man’s running onto the ball and can’t even see him coming. Winning the ball is one thing. Taking another player’s life is another. You don’t get to treat a human being like an obstacle just because you’re trying to clear a ball in the 97th minute of a 2-2. I’ve seen some nasty collisions in this game. Higuaín and Neuer in the World Cup final — that was horrible to watch. But this… this is different. The speed, the way the knee comes up, the impact into the chest… and a man dies. At 30. That’s not a football incident anymore. That’s something I struggle to even process. He was a husband. A father. His partner and their little girl were in the stadium watching. They came to see him play football. They expected him to come home. Instead they got the worst news imaginable. That’s what this is about. Not the red card, not the three points, not Owono’s career. A 30-year-old man went out to do his job and never went home to his family. A red card is nowhere near enough. Not for this. The Spanish authorities need to look at this properly. They need to examine every angle — the challenge, the force, whether there was any criminal negligence or something more serious. If the investigation finds serious wrongdoing, then there have to be proper consequences. Football sanctions, and if the law says so, legal ones. A lifetime ban should be on the table if that’s what the evidence supports. An apology and a red card don’t wipe this away. We’ve normalised dangerous challenges for too long. Players need to understand that their decisions have real consequences. A match, three points, a trophy, a career — none of it is worth another man’s life. None of it. This isn’t about the scoreline. It isn’t about the goalkeeper. It isn’t about the referee. It’s about a 30-year-old father who went out to play football and never came home. That’s the only conversation that matters.”

This John Lewis Christmas advert is a SHOCKER and it’s gone down about as well as a cup of cold sick.🤮 Two entitled, spoilt brats ignore their grandmother at the door, then trash the house and jump all over the furniture while their mother just shrugs and says, “Sorry, I think they need something to do”. Grandma digs some simple toys out of the attic. The ungrateful kids sulk. When they open their Christmas cards, they shake them looking for money and look disappointed when there isn’t any. They only cheer up when Grandma leads them into a room she’s spent a fortune turning into a full grotto. Who on earth thought this was a good idea and signed it off? No surprise it’s one of the worst-reviewed John Lewis ads ever and that the YouTube comments have been switched off. Dreadful.

Lifetime ban. That wasn’t football.
🚨🎙️ Thierry Henry on Jesús Owono’s life-ending challenge on Jesús de Miguel during the FC Andorra vs Tenerife match. “Honestly, I’ve watched that incident so many times, and I still struggle to understand what happened. Every time they show the replay, I find myself shouting at the television. I don’t know how you leave your goal, come out for a one-on-one challenge and raise your knee that high towards another player’s chest. What exactly are you trying to achieve in that situation? As a goalkeeper, you have to understand the danger of that kind of challenge. You can come out and clear the ball without putting another player’s safety at risk. “What really hurts me is that football is supposed to bring people happiness. We play this game to entertain millions of people, to create memories and to give supporters something to celebrate. Nobody should go onto a football pitch and never come home again. “And now, Owono will wake up tomorrow, put on his boots and probably return to training at some point. But what about Jesús de Miguel’s family? What happens to the people who were waiting for him at home? What do you tell his parents, his brothers, his friends? They have lost someone they can never replace. I don’t think we spend enough time thinking about the families who are left behind after tragedies like this. “I also think we need to have a serious conversation about punishment. A red card is a football punishment. But when an incident has consequences this devastating, can we honestly say that a red card is enough? I’m not saying we should rush to judgment without an investigation, but if reckless conduct is established, the punishment must reflect the seriousness of what happened. In the most serious cases, I believe a lifetime ban should be considered. Players need to understand that there is a responsibility that comes with stepping onto a football pitch, and that responsibility includes protecting one another. “I’m not saying this because I want to see another footballer’s career destroyed. I’m saying it because we cannot keep treating player safety as something secondary. If stronger consequences are necessary to prevent another family from experiencing this kind of tragedy, then football authorities must be prepared to act. “My deepest condolences go to Jesús de Miguel’s family, his teammates, everyone at Tenerife and all those who loved him. I cannot imagine their pain. And I hope they are given all the support they need during this incredibly difficult time. “Rest in peace, Jesús. No football match should ever end with a family losing someone they love.”

🚨Sir Alex Ferguson on the controversial challenge involving Jesús Owono and the tragic death of Jesús de Miguel during FC Andorra vs Tenerife: 🗣️Reporter: Sir Alex, you have managed football at the highest level for decades. What was your reaction when you watched the incident? 🎙️Sir Alex Ferguson: “I watched it several times, and I must tell you, I was deeply disturbed by what I saw. My immediate reaction was simple: what on earth was the goalkeeper thinking? Listen, I understand goalkeepers have a responsibility to protect their goal. They have to come out, challenge for the ball and sometimes put themselves in difficult situations. That is football. But there is a difference between making a legitimate challenge and going into a situation with excessive force. What I saw was extremely concerning. The speed, the force and the nature of that collision were difficult to watch. At that moment, you are not just challenging another footballer; you are putting another human being in danger. I’ve been involved in football for more than 40 years. I’ve seen some terrible injuries, some frightening collisions and incidents that have stayed with me throughout my career. But there are certain situations where you have to stop and ask yourself whether the game has gone too far. And what makes this even more heartbreaking is the person we are talking about. Jesús de Miguel was only 30 years old. He had a family, a wife and children. He had people waiting for him, people who expected him to return home after playing football. Instead, a family has lost someone they can never replace. That is bigger than football. Much bigger than three points, a result or a goalkeeper trying to win possession. I remember incidents involving Higuaín and Neuer, but we must be careful about comparing collisions. Every situation is different, and every challenge must be judged on its own circumstances. I am not going to pretend I know everything that happened in that moment. That is why there must be a thorough investigation. The authorities must establish exactly what happened, whether the challenge was reckless and whether there are grounds for any legal responsibility. If the investigation establishes that Owono acted with criminal negligence, then he must face the appropriate consequences under the law. Nobody should be above accountability because they are a professional footballer. And as far as his football career is concerned, I believe the seriousness of this incident must be considered before any decision is made about his future in the game. I’ve sent players off the training ground for dangerous behaviour. I’ve disciplined players who thought winning was more important than respecting an opponent. Because one thing I always believed was that football must never become a place where players forget the humanity of the person standing opposite them. You can replace a goalkeeper. You can replace a footballer. You can replace a result. You cannot replace someone’s father, husband or son. My heart goes out to Jesús de Miguel’s family. I cannot imagine what his wife and children are going through right now. There is no preparation for receiving news like this. And I hope the football authorities understand that this cannot simply become another incident that everybody discusses for a few days before moving on. There must be accountability, there must be answers, and there must be lessons learned. Because when a player steps onto a football pitch, he deserves to know that the opponent challenging him understands the responsibility that comes with playing this beautiful game. Football should be competitive, it should be aggressive, but it should never cost someone their life. My deepest condolences to the family of Jesús de Miguel. No football match is worth what this family has lost.”

Kicking working families off their land with a 6 month notice and pricing them out of their own homes is an absolute joke. William and Kate are not sorry for doing it. They are only sorry because the farmers yelled, the public kicked off, and he got caught out. Where are all the royal reporters today? They were cheering him on last week but they are completely silent now that he has had to back down and apologise. It is absolute rubbish. #DuchyOfCornwall #PrinceWilliam
