Londoner always. Been around the block. Just tweets about Spurs these days. Probably not that interesting a follow if not into football. odd bit of TV.

🗣️ "Gabriel, be careful, yeah.. you've already got 2 fouls" The referee even giving him a friendly reminder. How thoughtful. 😭😂

To paraphrase Succession: The Premier League is too online. It has lost context.

I think this is a big part of why Kane is now so loved. He doesn't have celebrity aura. He's basically like a dad you do small-talk with at nursery pick-up... who is also the best footballer in the world.

the irony in kane losing the biggest individual award in the sport to a guy who went trophyless, after being discredited his entire career for being trophyless

Huge win for Spurs. They inflicted on Chelsea what Chelsea usually do to them. Dominated in midfield throughout and forced Chelsea into costly errors. Fernandes, Tonali, Tel, van Hecke all excellent but it was a complete team performance.

3 goals from outside the box, the last time this happened was the 6-2 win against Leicester City in September 2022.

Just support him. Whatever gives him fulfilment is fine and, like he says, it’s possible to do more than one thing each day.

More evidence Chelsea 💯 got away with it When Man City verdict comes, the disparity in punishments will seem very weird Lesson is ‘own up and we’ll be nice’ (pusillanimous?) But if you distrust Man City’s trophies, you have to say the same about Chelsea’s from 2010

Amazing detail in @jwhitey98's piece that the initial documents City submitted 'did not allow text to be copied and pasted.' Just an incredible commitment to being as unhelpful as possible

He never served that three-game ban for being sent off in the 2006 World Cup final, because he was retiring anyway. He should be serving a three-game touchline ban now. Justice must be done. xitter.gq/OliverKay/status/21059…
In Paris for Zinedine Zidane's first home game as France coach, at the scene of his greatest triumph. Huge feelgood factor around his appointment — the only job he wanted after Real Madrid. Two wins out of two. All seems so natural for him. It always has nytimes.com/athletic/7649973…

The funniest thing about the empty threats from Etihad is they tell the story of precisely what the issue is. They aren't named in the report. They could just cut ties. Instead they choose to put themselves front and centre. This is not normal sponsor behaviour.

It’s absolutely tragic watching Brentford’s demise. I just hope one day they bounce back from the loss of “the most desirably hireable coach in the world” Thomas Frank.

Need Frank at Spurs, he’d have them in top 5 contention straight away. Their squad has multiple gems in it

Delighted to see this being addressed. I’ve been a Spurs fan for close to 40 years. Up until the last 4 or 5 years, the only time fans would ever go in on a player was if they did something that seriously disrespected the club. For example Hossam Ghaly when he threw his shirt on the floor after being substituted. Apart from those odd isolated incidents, all the players were supported while they wore the shirt because guess what? They actually play for the football club you support. This insistence on being right and standing your ground because you made a call about a player not being good enough so then you make that opinion so set in stone that it becomes your entire personality is entirely driven by ego and it’s fucking pathetic. I’ve watched Stuart Nethercott and Kevin Scott. Andy Booth and Rohan Ricketts. Please don’t tell me that one of the world’s top midfielders is actually awful because he’s played two dodgy games at the beginning of his Spurs career. If you actually support Spurs, and it’s not just an online personality that gives you licence to moan all day - then actually support them and the players and stop being a gimp
Saw a fan talking down RDZ and Tonali tonight. Supporting Spurs has changed. It used to be something to belong to. Unwavering support behind the badge. Somewhere along the way it became something to be right about. Predicting the failures replaced the loyalty. Sad.
