For a while now Paraguay has been a darling of the Latin American right, a tiny free market utopia. Elites in Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina had even started hiding money there and registering businesses. Whole thing is now collapsing under the weight of neoliberal corruption.

#Sudan has released a detailed evidentiary report accusing #Ethiopia of allowing armed drone attacks against #Sudanese cities and civilian infrastructure. The report, titled “Launched from Ethiopia,” presents recovered flight-control data, satellite imagery and drone wreckage, identifying alleged launch sites at #Asosa Airport, Bahir Dar Air Base and locations along the shared border. Sudanese authorities say a recovered drone’s flight computer recorded a takeoff point 1.7 kilometres inside #Ethiopian territory, and have offered the evidence for international examination. launchedfromethiopia.com/

For a long time, I have been closely following developments in Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea. In my writing, I try to expose the plans of the UAE, one of the greatest obstacles to stability in these countries, and of Israel, the shadow actor behind it. Every detail I share is based on reliable sources on the ground. Some say I blame everything on the UAE. But the picture is clear: military shipments to Ethiopia, support for the RSF militia in Sudan, space opened up for al-Shabaab in Somalia, and war threats against Eritrea in pursuit of Ethiopia's goal of military access to the Red Sea. These are all realities on the ground. Everybody must open their eyes. The peoples of Africa are paying the heaviest price for the UAE's destabilizing policies.

The UAE, Ethiopia, Israel and their regional partners are increasingly encroaching on the entire vulnerable population of Sudan. This is bigger than a proxy war. The world needs to pay attention. #sudan

🔴Bourgeois Scholar Henry Louis Gates Hatred Of Kwame Ture and The Black Radical Tradition Neoliberal Henry Louis Gates has demonstrated a longstanding disdain for Kwame Ture, using his influence to discredit a recent book on Ture’s life and politics. In the video, he comes across as condescending, attempting to belittle, discredit, and talk down the legacy of Kwame Ture. He also minimized Fanon role and global relevancy. Critics have pointed to multiple instances in his career where Gates’s work appears to compromise historical accuracy and fairness. For example, Gates was accused of scrubbing evidence of actor Ben Affleck's slave owning ancestry from an episode of his genealogy show, Finding Your Roots. Plus he pushed Abyssinian historical revisionism on the Aksum Empire & erased Eritrea from his documentary. This decision sparked accusations that Gates prioritized Affleck’s public image over the truth, leading some to question his commitment to an honest portrayal of history. Perhaps most controversially, Gates has recently suggested that Africans share equal responsibility with Europeans for the atrocities of the transatlantic slave trade a statement that many find deeply offensive and misleading. By implying that African complicity was equivalent to European colonial exploitation, Gates risks distorting the unique role that European powers played in perpetuating the centuries long horror of the African slave trade. This stance has led critics to accuse him of "pandering to white audiences" by shifting blame away from colonial powers and defaming Black people in the process. The Soviet Union was a product of a specific time and place and its never coming back. Still, socialist power had once extended across one-sixth of the world, a time when the capitalist world actually feared the threat of communism. We have much to learn from Soviet socialism
I am a “I would like to go farther than the Nordic model but really do not want to bring back the Soviet Union” kind of leftist

It’s why I’m so skeptical of the “public support for socialism is on the rise in the U.S.” claims. Did any of those polls ask those participants to define socialism?
Never seen the term “socialist” bastardized this much.

A militiaman who defected from UAE backed RSF openly states that they received weapons, ammunition, vehicles, and uniforms in Ethiopia, and provides all the details. “The wounded received all their treatment in Asosa,” he said, explaining that fighters withdrawing from Kurmuk went directly into Ethiopia. The militiaman said the operations were led by an Emirati named “Abu Mohammed,” who also personally paid the soldiers’ salaries. He also said that drone strikes against Sudan were being launched from the Asosa area of Ethiopia.

Confirmation of what we've been saying since 2024, those flights from the UAE to Ethiopia, Libya or Chad are carrying military equipment for the RSF militia in Sudan and not "humanitarian aid" as claimed by Abu Dhabi.
EXCLUSIVE: We now know what UAE govt-linked Pecotox-Air B747-409F ER-MAM carried on its 13 Al Ain 🇦🇪–Bole 🇪🇹 flights since 11 Oct: TLC pickups. The photo below shows the vehicles being unloaded at Bole Airport’s cargo terminal in Addis Ababa. They will likely end up in RSF hands.

Sudan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the security agencies, briefed diplomatic missions in the country on drone attacks launched from Ethiopian territory targeting Sudan. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Muawiya Osman, said the attacks, which have intensified in recent months, have targeted power plants, water stations, schools, hospitals and fuel stations, killing or injuring hundreds of people. Osman described the attacks as a "proxy war" waged by Ethiopia on behalf of regional actors, chief among them the UAE, and stated that the rebel militia was being used as a tool in this aggression. Osman stressed that the Asosa base in Ethiopia had become a hub for supplying the militia with weapons and equipment and for facilitating the passage of foreign fighters and mercenaries, but that the most dangerous aspect was the use of Ethiopian territory as a launchpad for drone attacks. Noting that the government is working to de-escalate tensions through diplomatic means, Osman said Sudan reserves its right to respond to any aggression in accordance with international law. The diplomats attending the briefing expressed their countries' support for Sudan's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
