I didn’t think it was possible to combine primary-loser-sour-grapes & Islamophobia into a more toxic cocktail than Andrew Cuomo. But Haley Stevens has managed to do it.
If she wants to betray civil rights, reproductive freedom, immigrant protections, and working families by endorsing Mike Rogers and trying to give control of the Senate to J.D. Vance and Donald Trump, I guess that's her business — but it’s appalling, oddly patronizing, and simply false to claim that it’s in the interest of Michigan’s Jewish communities.
Our safety comes from welcoming the stranger, fighting for universal human rights, and building pluralist democracy — not from endorsing neo-Nazi adjacent MAGA fanatics.

Last thing about Haley Stevens. Her actions today - officially endorsing Rogers and using a Black church as a political prop - is good for El-Sayed. It erases all doubt about her motives and character, and will motivate more people to vote for him to defeat Rogers and Stevens.

I've been trying hard to steer clear of this. But this is getting really, really tiring. Her partner did not have to announce publicly he was voting for Mike Rogers. And Stevens doesn't have to keep doing this crappy thing, blaming El-Sayed for an ad he had nothing to do with.
