Chelsea increasingly confident of signing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in January. Scott is Chelsea’s top target after Enzo Fernandez’s left for Manchester City on deadline day over the summer. Bournemouth want £100m+ and Xabi Alonso’s side are already in fresh talks having made multiple bids over the summer. Liverpool also hold an interest in Scott, but have less urgency to add a midfielder in January. Monaco's Lamine Camara, who Chelsea failed to sign on deadline day, and Roma's Manu Kone are two other targets.🍒 🤝 @alex_crook

In that interview, Xabi said "Chelsea we are now & what we will be in May is different", then every single content creator & fan glazed & praised him like it's the best interview they ever heard. And 2 days later, they think he is incompetent so are we already in May or what 😂

Jamie Carragher: "It just feels to me, when I look at [Chelsea's] defenders, every defender's the same six out of 10, seven out of 10. You've still not got that somebody you build your defence around, or can hold it all together. It just looks very average."

“When are we going to see Alonso start coaching build up?” “It takes time to perfect a style, but to see basic principles of what you are trying to do, it doesn’t. Maresca we saw his ideas and philosophy instantly” “I want to see us dominate games, not an average of 48% possession. Lavia was not brought on against Spurs, why?” “One of the reasons Pochettino got let go was due to the direct style of play. #CFC said they thought Maresca’s style of Football was the best chance of sustained success” @CFCPys questions Alonso’s direct and transitional style of Football after spending multiple windows recruiting for a ball dominant style of play.

chelsea must be feeling like christmas has come early for them. the easiest three points they'll ever get. they're going to be playing against a dead man walking in carrick as he's been hung out to dry by ineos. his mannerism after bournemouth screamed of him about to leave lmao.

You think this club is sniffing a league or ucl again to even have the motion for one of our players to win it. 😭😭😭😭😭
Realistically, is there a current Chelsea player who you think could go on to win the Ballon d’Or?

It’s October 26th, 2026 and i’m yet to hear the argument for Kane ahead of Michael Olise, his Bundesliga + Bayern POTY winning teammate, who broke the WC assist record

Shoutout Kane but this Ballon D'or should basically be a message for any superstar attacker out there that if you want to have a shot at the award you have to avoid Premier League at all costs Go to PSG/Bayern/Barca and your chances scale up tenfold

Xabi Alonso is here for the longterm. He wouldn’t have taken the job otherwise. Without including interim/coaches appointed midway or Potter, the rest were given a full season or more. The reaction by most post game/immediate emotions was proportionate to the result & context.
