🔴 BREAKING: Bolivian whistleblower Nadia Beller, who survived an assassination attempt allegedly ordered by Trump-linked political operative Fernando Cerimedo, says she could be arrested as soon as Friday, according to Drop Site contributor Camila Lourdes Galarza. Galarza reports that Beller believes authorities are seeking to silence her for exposing alleged election interference, drug trafficking and corruption across Latin America. Details below ⬇️
SCOOP: Nadia Beller, the Bolivian whistleblower who survived an assassination attempt ordered by Trump associate and political operative Fernando Cerimedo, tells me authorities are seeking to arrest her as soon as Friday. According to sources within the Bolivian government and police, the case will argue that her (brave) testimony against Cerimedo’s crimes—which range from U.S. backed election interference to drug trafficking—is evidence she had prior knowledge and failed to report. Beller, a lawyer herself, cites multiple legal grounds for immunity and says this is an obvious attempt to silence her for exposing a corruption network spanning from Washington DC to Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina, and beyond. Beller’s whistleblowing prompted investigations in Argentina and Chile, including a congressional commission probing Cerimedo. The Bolivian attorney general who arrested and charged Cerimedo with femicide for the attack on Beller was sanctioned by the U.S. and later detained by Bolivian authorities. Beller says she fears for her life and the life of her unborn child, which Cerimedo allegedly fathered. She is calling on the international community to support her in the face of political lawfare, attempted femicide, and state repression. Please share far and wide.

Bolsonaro literally fled on a narco-traffickers plane 🥲 Between the pardon for Juan Orlando Hernandez in Honduras, refuge for Flávio from Brazil, and the close alliance with Ecuador’s Noboa, the Trump admin is proving itself to be the true ally of narco-terror in the region.

UPDATE: Flávio Bolsonaro deletes social media post containing a letter in which he called himself “president-elect,” then changes the wording to “leader of Brazil.”
Flávio Bolsonaro declared himself the country's “true president-elect,” alleging widespread electoral fraud and accusing Lula and the Supreme Court of "stealing" the election. In a statement issued from the U.S., Bolsonaro said he had left Brazil with his family over fears of political persecution and vowed to lead the opposition from abroad. He thanked Trump for providing refuge and called on the international community not to "normalize" what he described as an "authoritarian regime" in Brazil.

Black people founded Miami, and South Florida remained an affluent Black enclave before redlining and urban renewal. The wealth and class mobility Cubans have is the direct result of the U.S. government investing $11B in Cuban communities while destroying Black South Florida.
girl, south florida wouldn’t be what it is today without cubans. we helped build this community, its businesses, and its culture. you’re welcome, tho

The last phone call Lil Jon ever had with his son was him calling back to say sorry. He had no idea it would be the last time he'd hear Nathan's voice. Nathan was 27. NYU grad, music producer, DJ'd under the name Young Slade. For about four years he'd been dealing with physical pain and a lot going on emotionally, and he was in therapy working on it. His dad kept riding him to take better care of himself, and Nathan finally asked him to give him some credit for how hard he was trying. Then early one Saturday morning, Nathan sent him a text. "My love for you is stronger than my fear." Jon took the whole back-and-forth to his own therapist, who told him something pretty simple. His son just wanted to be heard and seen. So he picked up the phone, told Nathan he was sorry, and told him he could see how hard he'd been trying. The next morning Nathan ran out of his house in Milton, Georgia around 6am and left his phone behind. He had a therapy appointment on the books that same day. Three days later a dive team found him in a pond at a park near his house. The medical examiner ruled it an accidental drowning. Jon had pretty much finished writing his memoir when this happened. He'd already named it I Only Shout So You Can Hear Me. This is a guy who's been yelling WHAT and YEAH on records for 30 years, and he built the title of his whole life story around wanting people to hear him. Read that title again now that you know about the phone call. He went back into the book, wrote a new chapter about Nathan, and dedicated the whole thing to him. It came out last Tuesday. His co-writer Paul Cantor says he never had one conversation with Jon where Nathan didn't come up. After Nathan died, Jon says he basically lived on the couch for months. So in this clip you're watching a guy talk about dragging himself back up because his daughter and his partner deserve the best of him. He says he had to relearn how to smile and laugh. And he thanks Allah for giving him 27 years with his son. Nathan was a teenager hanging around the studio when Turn Down for What got made, and his dad called him his good-luck charm. Ten years later Nathan was engineering his father's meditation album. In an interview last year, Nathan said his dad always showed up for him. The man famous for shouting so you'd hear him spent his last call with his son making sure Nathan knew he'd been heard.
Keke Palmer got EMOTIONAL and teared up as Lil Jon opened up about GRIEVING the tragic loss of his 27-year-old son Nathan, revealing how he had to learn to SMILE AGAIN, find joy in life and pull himself out of a DARK PLACE for his family 💔 “I realized I had to pick myself up, because my daughter and my partner deserve the best of me. I had to learn to smile again and laugh again… I have gratitude for Allah for giving me my son for 27 years. I appreciate every memory… If I can get through it, you can get through it. You have to keep living, keep spreading love, and keep spreading joy”

Rather than cut corners on testing, Beyoncé decided to finance the haircare brand herself.
