I have just published a piece that is very important to me. It's about why so many "progressives" and people on "the left" are lying to us right now about crime, safety, and repression, and what we should be doing instead. equalityalec.substack.com/p/…

I still can’t even put into words how disgusting this tweet is. A whole Human Rights Lawyer said this.

Greens you are being gifted by the Labour Party in Birmingham. Cut all ties with Labour, and start fighting with local trade unions against austerity measures b4ought in by Labour and Tories (including the massive pay cuts forced on the bin men).
I have joined Birmingham Labour colleagues in writing to the Council Leader. Green cabinet members must publicly disown their party’s “Zionism is Racism” motion. If they refuse, the power sharing agreement must end. Standing against racism requires leadership and action. 👇🏽

Israeli flag front and center of the synagogue as she uses her position as Commissioner to reinforce Jewish supremacy and the collaboration between Zionism and state power!
The NYPD draws its strength from the extraordinary diversity of the city we serve. Our members come from different backgrounds and traditions, but they are united by a shared commitment to protecting New Yorkers. This weekend, I was honored to join three of the fraternal organizations within the NYPD: @NYDO_1993, @NYPDMuslim, and @NYPDSHOMRIMSOCI. In these moments we celebrate the service of our Dominican, Muslim, and Jewish members of the department, remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this city, and invest in the next generation of cops.

I’m sick of hearing Mamdani can’t arrest Netanyahu or the man who killed Hind Rajab. The Adams administration hunted me down and arrested me for words. Just words. So spare me the “he can’t” bullshit. Power finds a way when it wants to.

If you look at the methodology of the report, they say that relied partly on anonymous testimonies submitted to their online portal. Very likely we now have government policy being made in response to David Gordstein- type characters submitting entirely fictional “incidents”
This absolutely did not happen, come on now

“I try to keep the focus on the actual reality of Zionism.” @benjaminfmoser being as clear as possible. Zionism is what Zionism does; ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide.
“Zionism has always meant invading somebody else’s country.” Author of ‘Anti-Zionist’ @benjaminfmoser joins @mehdirhasan to dispel the argument that there can be many kinds of Zionism as ‘fantasy’. Watch the full discussion on zeteo.com.

Very important. The National Education Union effectively rejects the key recommendations of the new Independent Antisemitism Review, rejecting the IHRA Definition and suggesting current approaches create a hierarchy of racism. Directly says the report "will not tackle antisemitism." This review looks like yet another Labour Together Project disgrace - the long tail of McSweeney-Starmerism - that will likely inflame rather than reduce tensions in schools. Exasperating, infuriating stuff. Imagine telling teachers - teachers! In it for the kids! - that they can't talk about or show opposition Israel's genocide against Palestinian children. Here's what NEU's Daniel Kebede says: "However, recommending the IHRA definition for schools risks deepening the problem rather than tackling it, and actively undermining efforts to confront antisemitism. It is the wrong approach. The IHRA’s contested framing risks blurring the line between antisemitism and legitimate criticism of the Israeli government and the genocide in Gaza, leaving teachers with uncertainty when they need clarity. A young person’s opposition to the Gaza genocide and scrutiny of the Israeli government are not, in themselves, antisemitic. Young people must have the space to understand and discuss world events. Schools must enable young people to confront difficult issues openly and develop empathy, not drive teachers into silence or leave pupils afraid to express their views. Recommending the IHRA definition risks tightening the chilling grip already stifling classroom discussion of the Gaza genocide. Schools need practical support to confront antisemitism, not a contested framework that risks shutting down legitimate discussion. The very real risk is that children who cannot critically explore issues through classroom discussion will instead seek their answers in online and unsafe groups. “This report will not tackle antisemitism. It wrongly calls into question the professionalism of teachers. The existing rules on impartiality in the classroom are very clear and teachers take that responsibility very seriously. For three years, teachers have been responding to concerned pupils’ questions about this conflict. These classroom discussions are familiar territory, not uncharted ground. In that time there have been vanishingly few examples of the Teacher Regulation Agency holding up a complaint of lack of impartiality in the classroom. "The NEU welcomes a strengthened focus on antisemitism in the statutory safeguarding guidance and we would encourage the Department for Education to go a step further by strengthening the guidance on all forms of racism. We are concerned that addressing antisemitism without an equally clear commitment to tackling all forms of racism risks creating a hierarchy of racism. No form of racism should be minimised, and no pupil or member of staff should receive less protection. Similarly, the NEU welcomes training for staff on recognising and challenging antisemitism, but we would like to see this in the context of wider antiracism training. The lack of training and time for staff development is a real barrier and almost two thirds of teachers (65 per cent) report that they have not received any antiracism training of any kind within the past year."

Sure, Anthropic may have stolen all the world's intellectual property, destroyed the education system, incited mass layoffs among the corporate class, devalued all art and destroyed social trust but somehow they also managed to lose $80 billion in the first half of 2026

Lol giving the game away. This is purely about defending Israel
Important to be clear that the Bell review is not about Israel/Palestine. It is about antisemitism - anti-Jewish racism - and how it manifests. The report is now published. I encourage everyone to read it – particularly the testimony from Jewish students and parents. assets.publishing.service.go…

This is an "Israel"-laundering PR stunt. Lander, a zionist politician, won't pull investments in Elbit, he won't arrest Hind Rajab's killer roaming the streets of NYC, he won't disrupt the synagogues holding real estate auctions for stolen Palestinian land. Business as usual
BREAKING: @bradlander was just detained by Israeli authorities along with 40 international volunteers while harvesting olives in the West Bank. “Occupation is a crime under international law,” Lander said. “Harvesting olives is not a crime under any law I know.”

I do appreciate that Adolf’s little chef here unintentionally validated what ppl say about rape culture in Israel She did a skit with an Israeli comedian showing how creepy and rapey Israeli men are
This chef, Brooke Baevsky, personally prepared meals to feed the IDF einsatzgruppen in Gaza. Her brazen support of genocide wasn’t a deal breaker for Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Emma Roberts, or Mindy Kaling

I hadn’t seen the whole exchange but gosh Zionism has not only shown itself to be the expression of obscene levels of violence but also an induction into the typology of the pathetic. The theatrics of the labour speaker, wow.
Went on BBC Politics Live to discuss why Zionism is a racist ideology. The anchor and all three panelists looked like they were about to cry at the end. Very weird behaviour. Join the Green Party.

Kinda amazing that this white lady who’s defined her whole career as a supposed antiracist migrant rights advocate is deciding to burn all sorts of goodwill towards herself amidst a week long crashout with stellar lines like: “It doesn’t MATTER if X is racism…”

I guess BBC impartiality only matters when you're a match of the day presenter who says bombing children is bad
“[Saying] ‘Zionism is racism’ is offensive, it’s antisemitic and it’s dangerous” Broadcaster Jo Coburn says she “watched in horror” as the Green Party passed its motion on Zionism and criticises leader Zack Polanski's defence in his #BBCLauraK interview bbc.co.uk/news/live/c64gv8k2…

Zoe, I’m a mother of three children from Gaza. I have lived through this genocide, enduring terror, fear, and hunger, and my children and I are still living through them every single day. While you worry that taking a stand against Zionism might damage the Greens’ image, Palestinian families are still struggling to survive. For us, this is not a political debate or a public relations problem. It is our lives, our children, and our future. I wish political leaders understood that some principles are worth defending, even when doing so comes at a political cost. No mother should have to watch her children live in fear and hunger while the world debates whether standing up for them is politically convenient. @ZoeJardiniere
Zack did well on Kuenssberg, he’s good at doing what needs to be done. But I still wish he’d been facing the gross right wing barrage of stupid questions he was always gonna face about something like climate or cost of living instead of having to defend this stupid motion that damages the Greens. Wish we could all move on & draw a line under it but they’re not going to let go of it- that’s what the Greens are to the majority of the public now. And I think that’s a disaster.

I think what is actually racist is when there is a motion passed about Palestine, which has fuckall to do with British Jews, and all your statements are about appeasing Jewish neuroticism but Palestinians are effectively cut out from your discourse and you ignore their existence.

Friendly reminder to use the term "Ansarallah" instead of "Houthis." The term "Houthi (rebels)" is used by imperialists to diminish & belittle the AnsarAllah movement and is deemed somewhat disrespectful to the resilient people of Yemen.
