🚨Great listen here for the #txlege community
Everyone is focused on Paxton, Abbott, Talarico, Hinojosa, and French. Only the diehards are looking at the lege races. So, @gwfulce decided to break down every competitive #txlege race, and then some. Check it out NOW!

Dad, we miss you already. An outstanding Texan, legislator, Govt Affairs lawyer, Aggie and to me the best father, mentor, and friend. Thank you for all the love and support. I’m leaving his obituary in the comments. Services are later next week at the Texas State Cemetery.

This will become an increasingly fascinating trend.
The data centres going up for AI are now so expensive that insurers will not cover one in full. Five years ago the average data centre an insurer was asked to cover was worth about $150 million. Today it is about $3 billion. What insurers will put on a single site has not kept pace, and plenty of these projects now carry cover for a third to a half of what they cost. A fire or a storm rarely destroys a whole campus, so they cover what one bad event could plausibly take out instead of the full cost of everything on site. That is how a $3 billion building ends up insured for a third to a half of what it cost. Count everything at risk on one campus – the building, the machines inside it, the tenants – and it can pass $50 billion. Insurers are in the business of writing risk, so when they start limiting how much they will take on a single site it is worth asking why. The answer is concentration: that much value, in one place, on one grid, inside one weather system. If you are picking the site for the next one, it looks like the cheapest risk management available is not putting it next to the last one.

Love to see the great @gwfulce get a spot like this. Well deserved. Already best interviewer on #txlege Twitter, stock rising as interviewee 📈
.@timodc: "What's the level of panic among your Texas Republican friends?" @gwfulce: "People are worried…It's the Republican economy plus Paxton at the top of the ticket."

The head of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, which manages the state's five youth prisons, has resigned. It's not immediately clear why TJJD Executive Director Shandra Carter stepped down, but the decision came after the agency placed all of its youth prisons under an extended lockdown. texastribune.org/2026/10/23/…

The fact that my parents take “we voted” selfies is the most adorable thing in the world. Both happy warriors who taught me the importance of exercising your rights. Make sure you take advantage of polls being open this weekend. Don’t wait for Election Day. The lines will be crazy if you do.
