Last night an AI agent performed brain surgery on a mouse. We gave it 19 gene therapy vectors in a spreadsheet, a mouse model of epilepsy, access to a motorize surgery rig with cameras and one goal: reduce seizures. It picked the drug. It picked the brain region. It derived the coordinates from three papers. Then it drove the stereotaxic arms into the brain and injected 250 nanolitres while watching the entry site through the rig camera for bleeding. A licensed vet gated every irreversible step and held a physical kill switch to stop the AI agent. Thread on what it decided, what it saw, and the moment it refused to let me override it. [Writing this on the spot out of excitement, but I've been 18hrs in front of my laptop coding and coordinating this, so keeping it brief and descriptive, more cohesive thoughts on this soon...]

Trust is the most important asset in the current world. Trust is the ground on which we all stand. But we are losing trust in each other and in human institutions, and instead increasingly trust only algorithms and AI. I’m a frequent critic of the NYT. They brag they have 10 million subscribers. A former executive editor they said don’t vote for Donald Trump. Today, the NYT committed old-fashioned journalism and they should be credited for it. I wish they took on the Ds more often, as they always take on the Rs.
To state the obvious: If the @nytimes *only* wrote stories to help Democrats, they wouldn’t have written this one. My guess is they just guaranteed @DanSullivan_AK re-election. And they devoted a lot of investigative resources to do it.

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warns that America’s greatest threat isn’t economic or military, but losing the values that made the country great: “I think we’ve gotten a little bit soft.” 🇺🇸 “America has no divine right to success. We have the Constitution, which is extraordinary. It’s the embodiment of our values: enterprise, liberty, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and equal opportunity. Those values are what make America strong, including God, family, country, and work ethic. I think we’ve gotten a little bit soft. I think we made a huge mistake by not teaching this much more in schools. The real risk is our heart, our soul, our grit, our courage. That is the actual risk. America’s military strength is predicated on America’s economic strength, and our economic strength depends on keeping this wonderful system going. There’s too much today that’s just tearing it down. It bothers me that we don’t celebrate these values, particularly on our 250th anniversary.“ Jamie is absolutely correct here. The greatest threats facing America is its internal battles, not the external ones. We as a country have lost our way and what it means to be American and being proud to be American.

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warns Europe is falling dangerously behind America economically… and blames anti-business, anti-investment, and anti-innovation policies. 🇺🇸🇪🇺 “If you don’t believe me, go to Europe, folks. Europe used to have a GDP per person of 90% of America’s. It’s now 65%. It’s on its way to 50%. That will jeopardize the health of Europe itself over time. And it’s all anti-business, anti-investment, anti-innovation. They kind of know it. If they don’t fix it—and we should help them fix it, because Europe matters—it’s really bad for the Western world, too. We should do it wisely.” Europe shift over the past three decades has proven decimating for their economy. Aging population forces mass immigration in order to maintain adequate growth. Crazy regulation and bureaucracy slows innovation and investment… forcing the economy further down. At the same time, the United States has pulled ahead exponentially and will continue to do so. Europe is struggling.

Ukrainians keep showing enormous courage in defending their country against Putin’s immoral and indeed evil efforts to conquer a neighbor. They have resisted now for four years and eight months and we should do all we can to help them.

Holy Smokes. You gotta watch this. This young man got it “RIGHT”.
🙌🏼 THIS MAN IS SPOT ON! 🤩 In his car he claps back at a “Vote Blue” overlay: his parents (who voted red) raised five kids—four biological, one adopted—who all turned out as functional adults. Jobs, college degrees, no criminal records, manners, respect for women/kids/elderly, and traditional views on sex/gender. He says the results speak for themselves and asks for their “playbook,” which says vote red.

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

We should be supporting the victim, not the aggressor, in this conflict. Putin will not stop with Ukraine and is already threatening some of our NATO allies.   The reason we have had relative peace in Europe since World War II is because of the alliance between the U.S. and our European allies. Anything we do to undermine or degrade that alliance would be a big mistake.   Watch my full interview on @SquawkCNBC below⬇️   youtu.be/-dOEPJOt8Uc?t=355

Somewhat unremarked upon is that Trump has made two era-defining foreign policy decisions — launching war with Iran and de facto aligning the U.S. with its decades-old enemy/adversary Russia (formerly the Soviet Union) — with NO consultation of the American people. Absolutely none. He literally reserved more TV time for the “election foreign-interference” crock than on two strategies that could perpetually undermine U.S. national and economic security. That's an election issue if there ever was one.
Trump’s despicable actions regarding Ukraine in recent weeks are more than a bankrupt betrayal; they risk undermining the global alliance structure that keeps America first in the world. My latest for @dcexaminer - washingtonexaminer.com/in_fo…

It's been a good week for Putin. In recent days, Trump has: * Struck a diesel deal lifting some sanctions * Restricted Starshield for Ukraine * Cut intel warnings of Russian missile launches against Ukraine for several days * Canceled Lindsey Graham sanctions * Demanded Ukraine dump Zelensky * Absolved Russia for helping Iran fight the US * Pushed Europe to resume buying Russian gas

Trump is clearly freaking out as both parties have universally condemned his decision to remove Lindsey Graham’s sanctions against Russian oligarchs. He’s now trying to argue it’s about some secret plan he has to end the war in Ukraine. You have to be a special kind of stupid to believe this guy’s lies at this point.

President Trump’s decision to waive sanctions against Russia as Putin continues his brutal war of aggression against Ukraine dishonors the legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham and is decidedly not in the national interests of the United States and should be reversed. Putin is a war criminal and only understands strength. Waiving Graham Act sanctions on Russia signals weakness at a moment that demands American strength. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression, just as we did during the years of the first Trump Administration. A victory in Ukraine would be a victory for freedom and is squarely in the national interests of the United States. If Putin overruns Ukraine, I have no doubt it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. For the cause of freedom, for America’s national security and that of our allies including Ukraine, President Trump should Restore sanctions under the Graham Act immediately, Rescind the diesel deal with Russia and Rally our Allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all.
