Every single federal judicial vacancy needs to be filled in the lame duck session. The Senate should pull all-nighters for as long as it takes. Democrats wont confirm a single Trump judge once they take over.

I know EXACTLY why they left. My son is 23. He and his buddies couldn't wait to vote for Trump in 2024. Sadly, they stayed home on Tuesday. Couldn't convince them ti vote bc they feel betrayed

Putting a fake Dan Sullivan on the Alaska ballot to trick voters is a conspiracy against rights under 18 USC 241.
The precedent covers election officials who manipulated ballots so people couldn't vote for the candidate of their choice. The same logic applies here.

I have been waiting 24 years for my neighbor David Westerfield to be executed for the kidnapping and murder of my 7-year-old neighbor, Danielle van Dam. And now thanks to @GavinNewsom, it looks like it will never happen.
I was 13 when he abducted her from her bedroom in the middle of the night in 2002. I would never equate what I experienced with what her family suffered, but Danielle's murder devastated our whole neighborhood, and me personally. I was a sensitive kid and it was a major contributor to my mental health decline in adolescence.
In the 20 days between her disappearance and his arrest, I developed insomnia and spent those nights walking around the house checking the locks on the doors and windows. I followed the trial closely. As we learned the horrific details, I couldn't stop thinking about what she endured during the 3 days he had her.
Her body was found dumped off the side of a road 25 days after she went missing. It was too decomposed to test for sexual assault, but we all knew that's why he took her. He was also convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material found on his computer.
There was never any doubt about Westerfield's guilt. There was an abundance of forensic evidence, including her blood on his clothing and in his motorhome. In 2019, the California Supreme Court unanimously upheld his conviction and death sentence. Shortly afterward, Newsom imposed his moratorium. And now he does THIS.
California voters rejected abolishing the death penalty in both 2012 and 2016, and even voted to expedite executions. All these years, I've held on to the hope that someone would eventually take office who respected the will of California voters and would allow these sentences to be carried out.
It's especially insulting to hear Newsom go on about morality, as if he is morally superior to those of us whose lives were affected by these heinous crimes and who want to see the perpetrators brought to justice. I'm hoping the California Supreme Court can stop Westerfield's commutation.

Rs aren’t getting noms again for 2 years, likely 4. Senate Rs have one job for the next month and it’s confirming every single pending judicial and civilian nom. ONE JOB.
Maybe they could consider working Mondays and Fridays.
NEW: Democrats rammed through judges in the lame-duck Senate in 2024.
Republicans must learn from their example and confirm all of President Trump's judges before January 3rd.
Tell your senators: Confirm All Judges NOW.

I am not part of the “Vanceguard.” But I am someone who believes exit polls. And when voters tell me that Iran was a major factor for their vote, I believe them.
It is cheap and disingenuous to suggest that anybody who acknowledges this basic reality must be doing it on behalf of Vance.
“Iran cost us the election” is a myth. It was one part of a much bigger story. The Vanceguard/woke right is blaming the Iran war because they hate it, but ignoring the role tariffs played because they love them. Whatever you think of Iran or tariffs as a matter of policy, it’s intentionally dishonest.

If Senator Thune cares at all about what remains of the Senate Republicans, he should sit this one out.
For two years, House Republicans begged him to bring conservative legislation to the floor, including the SAVE Act. He refused. He chose to protect the institution rather than fight to save the country.
He made failed Mitch McConnell look like a genius. And his refusal to lead has consequences. Thune owns this week’s Senate Republican losses.
Had he put the SAVE Act on the floor and fought for it, Republicans would still hold the majority.
Spare us the victory lap. The Senate didn’t lose its majority by accident. John Thune squandered it.
Over the last two years, Senate Republicans have put up a strong record of accomplishment that’s created safer streets, more money in Americans’ pockets, and new opportunities for families and businesses to get ahead. After fighting Democrat obstruction at every turn, we prevented the largest tax hike in American history, secured our border in an unprecedented way, confirmed the president’s Cabinet at the fastest pace in two decades, and put strong conservative judges on benches across the country faster than we have since the Reagan administration. I’m proud of our team and everything we’ve done for the American people, and I’m looking forward to the important work we have in front of us over the next few months. As we head into 2027, Senate Republicans will not stand idly by as the far-left, socialist wing of the Democrat Party attempts to unwind everything we’ve done. Thankfully, we still have President Trump in the White House, and we’ll work with him to stop the worst impulses of Democrat extremism. We cannot let their fringe positions become the mainstream.

77% of Americans households are in debt. This fact of political physics should be stapled to the front of every GOP policy for the next 2 years so ideas like adding $600 billion to the Pentagon budget or foreign policy decisions that inflame prices get a proper stress-test.

Every member of Congress swears to support the Constitution "without any mental reservation." That is law, not ceremony.
I agree with Jeff Clark. A member-elect who says he won't be bound shouldn't get the oath. Enforce Article VI on Jan. 3.

Here's another truth.
As far as I can tell, the majority of the Administration is just interested in fighting over who defines the Republican party after Trump and seizing the narrative ground post-midterms. A lot of behind-the-scenes infighting is about this.
All the while Democrats are hellbent on "structural reform" and "accountability" which is a nice way of saying they intend to tear down our Republic and jail us.
Republicans need to wake up. There will be no Republican party left to lead if you are fighting each other over who inherits it, while the Democrats dismantle our country. Start defending our nation instead. Stop the coup.

The average American lost $8,200 from their retirement accounts today (401k + Roth IRA).
If gas prices were cut in HALF today and inflation was 0% it would take SIX years to recover what they lost.
SIX years; and that is obviously best-case scenario.
But the legacy media won’t tell you Wall Street is reacting to the Blue Wave—even though Democrats elected Tuesday are anti-capitalism, pro-regulation, pro-tax.
And they are anti-wealth (for all but themselves).
