Former UFC champ Cain Velasquez says he lost the will to live before unloading two clips during an 11-mile chase with the man who m*lested his 4-year-old son. Velasquez shared the heartbreaking details of when his son told him a man was m*lesting him at daycare. "One night, I put my son to bed and he tells me things that are happening to him at his daycare," Velasquez said on the @ShawnRyan762 show. "Just seeing my son and seeing all the traumas now come out because he’s disclosed this. Seeing that hurt in him, breaking down, crying… The daycare, the mom and the stepdad that ran it... They let it all happen." Velasquez says he hit a boiling point after he filed a report against the daycare and alleged abuser, Harry Goularte, only to find out that the daycare was opening back up. "We did all this and it’s still not going to get stopped... The system f*cking sucks. It’s broken." Velasquez said he went for a drive to clear his mind and, by chance, saw the alleged abuser and his stepfather in a car. After a conversation with God, the UFC fighter said he lost the will to live. "I lost it. I f*cking lost a will to live. Didn’t care about dying, didn’t care about anything. I was in a different place in that moment." "I went through an 11-mile chase, shooting at them. All of them were guilty, so all of them could have got it... 11-mile chase, two gun clips." The stepfather, who Velasquez says knew what was going on but did nothing, was hit in the arm and torso. Velasquez spent nine months in solitary confinement and says his son is doing "amazing" now. "I see him as the hero in the story, him speaking up."

Something I have read from church fathers, and which seems to be intensifying in public. The demons get angrier when you seek to stop drugs and live an upright life. I used to roll my eyes at spiritual warfare. This is to my own great embarrassment and ignorance.
Satan does not care if you are rich and famous.

Saint Paisios talks about this, we read it on the stream last week. Animals look to us for help like we look to God. We are icons of God.
I love how most of the animals stop running and look back at their saviors, its like an unspoken "Thank you, I will remember you."

There isn't a single person on the govt front bench you'd trust to be headmaster at your kids' school. Not one. Is it reasonable to believe they're actually running govt departments? The theatre of politics is a lie.

To those of us in Leadership positions: Respect is earned, not demanded. If you have to demand it, you don't deserve it. But thanks for proving you shouldn't be leading! Helpful information.

Everyone who cares about America will soon have to make a choice. Most will cower. Then 20-30 million people, mostly Christians, will be murdered by the far left, as Democrats look the other way.

There is only one Abrahamic religion: Orthodox Christianity
Are they not an abrahamic religion? Yes or no?

In high school Cain’s older brother Ephraim and I were wrestling teammates. We trained a lot together. We even got tattoos together on a whim. Cain was many years younger but would come wrestle with us and he was an absolute monster. Good hard working family. I happy he has found some peace.

UFC Champion Cain Velasquez Reveals How He Survived 9 Months in Solitary Confinement “You got nothing. Got these four walls, this little room. ... I mean, this little room for 21 hours of the day, three hours to get out, shower, get a little TV time ... Like I stayed happy within myself. And the guards were like, how can you be happy right now?” “I thought of it as, look, you're breathing and you're conscious. ... Be happy with yourself. Be happy with yourself. That's it. You don't need anything else to validate it. You don't need anyone else but you. You create it all. You create your happiness. So I did that, I did that, I was happy, man. ... Things I can't get back. But all I can focus on was the here and now.” -Cain Velasquez

We often celebrate new conversions to the Orthodox Church, and rightfully so. But what we don’t celebrate enough is those who have lasted decades in the Faith. Coming up on three years in the Church, each passing year is more challenging. There’s a reason we pray for “a Christian ending to our life” every liturgy, a phrase that’s always resonated with me. I’ve watched too many devoted brothers fall away. So next time you see that seasoned Orthodox Christian at your parish, congratulate them. Inform them of the inspiration they are to all of us.

NEW: Red Baron Pizza insinuates that 'Walt Z,' the Red Baron worker who went off on an influencer who harassed him in a store, has been named Employee of the Month. "He’s still here. He’s got a fan club. Including us," @redbaronpizza announced. Over $325,000 has been raised for the struggling, hardworking Michigan father of four.
