Yes. Consider what getting the opportunity for sex with a woman has meant throughout all of human history.
Either, "I conquered this tribe and now I get to take their women!"
Or
"I have exhibited such impressive traits and accomplishments that she (and/or her family) deem me superior amongst men and I get to have her!"
Both of these scenarios are a signal that you are winning. That you are at the top of the male heirarchy. You are good enough that a woman will have you.
At its core, this validation of worth for men is still unchanged in modernity.
The highest value men get their pick of the highest value women.
When a woman desires sex with a man, that tells him he is worthy and accomplished.
When a woman shows disinterest in sex with her man, that eats away at his sense of self worth.
A strong sense of worth and accomplishment is necessary for a man to feel confident moving forward to build for her and his family.
When he loses this, he begins to doubt himself, he loses the motivation and drive to protect, provide for, and cherish her.
It behooves women to maintain their man's sense of worth and accomplishment. Without that he will discontinue working in service of their lives together.
Conversely, when a man stops showing his woman attention, stops doing little things that are just for her, Is disinterested in building for her, spending time with her, giving her little surprise gifts, helping to ease her burdens, showing her non sexual affection, she will lose the desire to give herself to him sexually.
It behooves men to ensure that their women feel a sense of fulfillment, that they feel cherished, loved and supported.
When a woman is sexually receptive, what she is saying is she respects him. Submission in general is a signal of respect, because submission is the ultimate gift a woman can give. She is saying "I am yours, do what you want with me." She won't do that with any man.
This is how a man feels loved: through respect, and as you can see, sex is part of that - it's a signal "you are worthy." The more eager and open, the more worthy.
Women, conversely, receive love through being cherished. This means having her needs attended to, being cared for, being protected and paid attention to. She is his... and he will do anything for her.
That's why one of the main tactics to deal with a woman when she's being disrespectful is to treat her like she doesn't exist. It's a tit-for-tat response that creates deterrence around her bad behavior.

There is a very important part about the methane discussion that no one brings up.
90% of the methane is created in poop cesspools at Concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO).
These cesspools don't form when cows are free to range on land.
North America had 60 million bison in the 19th century.
Current cattle population: 48 million.
Somehow the smaller number of domesticated ruminants is causing climate catastrophe while 60 million wild bison was perfectly fine.
Methane from ruminants is a biogenic cycle. It breaks down in 12 years back to CO2 that grass absorbed 6 months ago.
If this was catastrophic, the planet wouldn't have survived millions of wild ruminants for millions of years.
But attacking cattle sells plant-based products, so here we are.
