Politicians shouldn’t deliver the budget speech. No one wants the politicising, we just want to know the actual measures.

I salute these amazingly courageous women. Against all odds they refuse to be silenced. They stand in front of audiences and speak out, knowing full well what speaking out can cost them - in fact has already cost them! That's courage. That is stunning and brave in its truest sense.
She was born in Iran and built her life in Afghanistan a woman's rights activist with a voice that frightened the men around her. So her ex-husband threw acid on her face. In the hospital, after the surgeries, she sat with her head shaved doctors had taken skin from her scalp to rebuild her face. She was still bandaged, still bleeding, still healing. But her son was not by her side. He was living with his father. And his father set the condition: if you want to talk to your son, you will do it on a video call so I can see what you've become. She accepted. She needed to hear her child's voice. On that call, her ex-husband looked at her destroyed face and smiled. He said: "Look at you. You've become like a monster. You'll never dare go out in public again people will be terrified when they see you. I dare you. I dare you to go out and talk about women's rights." He thought he had broken her. He thought that face was the end of her. He was wrong. Every scar on her face became a sentence in her speech. They took her beauty so she took his fear and turned it into courage. Today she walks in public with her head high, and she speaks about women's rights louder than ever. He wanted to bury her in shame. Instead, he gave the world a witness. That is why I invited her to our Freedom gala in Poland to dedicate to her the Medal of Freedom I received. Because she is the symbol of resilience itself: the symbol of every woman whose face was burned but whose voice could not be silenced. Thank you, Poland for opening your doors, for giving visas to my delegation of women from Iran, Afghanistan, and Cameroon. We are about to start a global women's rights movement and we will go together, all of us, to the German Parliament very soon. This time, I invited 10 women. In Berlin, we will invite more dissidents. @FahimaSarfaraz

It grieves me that the @TheBookerPrizes social media team do not know the difference between “less” and “fewer”. Of all the social media accounts, you’d think they would be able to get it right.

Really biased comments for Will Best tonight, a glaring mistake but the judges are gushing and giving him a high score?! Is it because he’s the first man ever to give birth; I assume he gave birth given the way the show is focussing on him being a new father… @bbcstrictly

I’ve been delving into my family history recently, and learned more about my great-grandfather. Not all of it good - it looks like he committed bigamy. But I’ve also discovered he suffered very badly from shellshock - what we would today call PTSD. He was hospitalised with it, but sent back to the front line, which of course made his condition even worse. I can’t forgive him for abandoning his family, but I can understand that in the aftermath of the war, he was a very ill and confused man. So I do consider myself to be wearing my poppy this year for him.

I think you meant to say “the most heavily filtered and AI-adjusted video of a man”. We all know Hunter doesn’t look like that.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN ALIVE! 😘

I think it’s important for lesbians to be concerned about “trans lesbians”, because “trans lesbians” are predatory men.
i think it's important for c!s lesbians to listen to trans lesbians' concerns actually

We need to crush the trendy left. Cast them into darkness.
The decision not to throw the book at Sarah Helm is why we end up with violent thugs parading the streets untouchable by authorities. We need to stop being kind or understanding towards those, especially those on the left, who have spent decades simpering at those 'radical' kids smashing stuff up. Groups like Palestine Action, the SWP, PSC and Antifa exist because our authorities are too nice, too obsessed with rights, and too invested in their left wing and culturally right on world view. There are people like Jonathan Powell and Sarah Helm at dinner parties as I write talking about '48 and '68 in their nice safe Hampstead or Putney homes. Middle aged blokes who sit on the boards of opera houses and museums getting a semi while talking about French rioters while their female counterparts get wet fantasising about exciting revolutionary men (or women) leading the front line against les flics. Already the editor of the London Review of Books - the centrepiece of elitist faux-revolutionary Marxist erections - is planning his special edition on the parallels between Paris '26, Paris '68 and Paris '48. Lots of fake revolutionaries with 3 million quid apartments in central London or New York are twitching at the profitable business of writing article about Marxism and the French riots. These people work at the BBC, have top jobs in the Civil Service, are celebrated lawyers or judges, they are writers, journalists and film-makers. They flit from posh restaurant to gallery opening to first night and pretend (because they are Marxists dontcha know) that they are the good people. Meanwhile some immigrant bloke in the wrong arrondissement of Paris who opened his shop 30 years ago is crying because the thugs who those dinner party guests fantacise about fucking just smashed up his livelihood, stole all his stock and left him destitute. We have to destroy the left. Not just the obviously evil and antidemocratic parts of the left but the sort of lefty who makes a better living than most people being an academic and writing communist apologia in the LRB or the Guardian.

Oh dear, it seems @sirendollxx doesn’t like being faced with the truth - he’s blocked me. He can think I’m an old twat if he wants. But he’s the one who prefers to pretend to be something he can never be rather than admit that he’s a gay man in a gay relationship. Only one of us is miserable in here, and it isn’t me

David Barraclough, 46, searched online for an "escort" in Wakefield. One minute later he beat his wife, Carolann, around the head with a claw hammer and murdered her. He then bound her body with tape, wrapped her in a duvet and put her in a freezer in their house. He then went out. He spent the next two weeks searching for more "escorts", signing up to dating apps such as Tinder and going to local pubs spending his wife’s money. He sent messages to her children pretending she was still alive. After two weeks he went to the police station and cried he was a victim of domestic abuse - who'd no choice but to kill his wife and was devastated. He cried he was a "17 stone boy no-one will believe". Well they didn't - he's just got handed a minimum sentence of 21 years and 6 months. And as is so often the case, this bloke who thinks he's a tough guy when he's beating women is actually a pathetic, whimpering, snivelling coward. He wouldn't even go in the dock to be sentenced. The "poor me, cry baby boy" didn't work for police and the courts - and it sure isn't going to fly in prison either. I wish him the very, very worst. God bless you Carolann and your three children 💔

Good result for the Telegraph. I doubt they want to interact with Nazis.
The Telegraph have posted an Islamophobic and Antisemitic cartoon of Mothin and Zack. We refuse to engage with their journalism until they withdraw the cartoon and apologise.

According to Will, people who know that sex in humans is binary and immutable, and that “non-binary” is merely a dress-code, don’t understand biology. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

“John” @GasiousKassious decided, on this lovely Sunday afternoon, to call me a c**t and then instantly block me. Some men really do love to display their misogyny, don’t they? 🙄

“Becca” is a man who thinks he can grow a vagina. “Inconvenient truths”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think “Becca” is a terf in disguise.
“Ellie” talks about herself in the third person but then labels other people “delusional” for telling inconvenient truths.

We damn well do understand it, and we think it's bullshit.
“Here on Radio 4 many of our audience are over 60. They don’t understand the terminology [of sex and gender] …” A very foolish age-based line to draw. Women of 60 are women of working age who must understand responsibilities, liabilities and rights at work under equality law

But we can clearly see that Bella Ramsey is a woman, thus rendering your point redundant.
They has been used as a singular pronoun in English for a person of unspecified gender for literally centuries Emma

Apparently, today’s definition of “progressive” is “adopting the policies of 1930s Nazi Germany”
.@ZackPolanski has increased the progressive vote - & trebled the Green vote - while reducing the Labour vote. The trend is clear: with a careerist, mediocre Starmerite as our MP, & once Burnham actually changes very little, at the next election Holborn & St. Pancras will ditch Labour to elect a progressive MP who actually represents us rather than their billionaire donors & corporate mates. @ZackPolanski was courageous to stand & has intensified the progressive momentum in Camden.
