I’ve become fascinated with hardware now that I can use Grok Bot to help program it. My first attempt is getting my own @bot on this ESP32 device. The bot team is doing a fantastic job here. This little guy does NOT like it when you shake him!

Elon says Grok Bot will research gifts your family would love and buy them. Justine Moore gave hers $100 in X Money. The box showed up. Elon also got real on usage caps. Serving Grok Bot cost too much for the price, and he's asking if the bigger plan is priced right. SpaceX says Colossus 2 is hitting its compute goals. OpenAI wants to call data centers AI compute campuses. Karpathy built HackerTube in two hours with Claude. 43M Hacker News comments down to 6,454 videos worth watching. DeepSeek is sketching a super agent that fixes bugs before anyone asks. Planning a hike with AI? Great start. Then check with a ranger. Today's AI news with the help of Grok Bot.

I know it’s taken longer than expected, but Grok 4.8 will not be a disappointment. We’re not optimizing for benchmarks and I really don’t care how Grok does on those, but it will be incredibly useful.

Google's Gemini 4 Carbon is out two weeks after Argon. It works on tasks for days and goes to cyber defenders first. Elon called it impressive. The Gemini app hit one billion users. Adobe, Calm, and Peloton now plug into Gemini and Search. You can text your ChatGPT dot now. It texts you back when something changes. GitHub's Copilot Fusion picks the models for you. Near Claude Code scores at about half the cost. Claude is 40% off for every level of government. One state team answered a ransomware attack in 8 minutes. Today's AI news with the help of Grok Bot.

Let’s see how Gemini Carbon stacks up outside of benchmarks. Looks promising.
Introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, it's a big jump over Argon which we released just 2 weeks ago. Gemini 4 Carbon is SOTA on cyber, long horizon tasks, ranks #1 on Artificial Analysis V5, significantly improves on usability in domains like coding, and is more aligned.

We are at the point where AI generated code is superior to human written code. And it’s only going to get better.
here's my AI cybersecurity apocalypse white pill. I've been fixing bugs in leftover human code non-stop for over a year now. literally cleaning up years of human slop. at the same time, i've been building fully AI-written complex software which I regularly review with AI the same way that I'm reviewing the human code. the difference is like day and night. good models don't just find the bugs, they also produce far fewer bugs. the difference between a big project written exclusively by modern frontier models and one written by a dozen engineers is just incredible. all those little obscure mistakes that humans overlook are mostly absent. if you take care of your project, the code quality can be great and there's almost no accumulation of weird edge cases that sneak in inevitably over the course of multiple years of working on a code base with a team of humans. makes me very optimistic about the future.

At work (R&D at a fortune 500 company w/ 15k+ employees), every time a SaaS pitches their product, my first question in the review meeting is, "Why don't we just build this ourselves?" In the past, there were always good answers to that question. Today, I can't think of any. If we can point an agent at any website or demo, have it research the broader problem for 72 hours, build the product with a focus on our specific needs, with any extra features we want, AND save a million a year why would we pay for your SaaS? Scale? It only has to scale to 15,000 employees and a few million customers. We don't have the same scaling problem you do serving 1,000 businesses with 100s of million of customers. Scale is a non-issue. Reliability? Your 99.9% self-reported uptime is not impressive. We can pay to host an app on a hyperscaler too. And when we do it, we know with certainty whether the uptime number is true or not. Github's official status page reports ~99% uptime. The Missing GitHub Status Page reports 93%. Reliability is a non-issue. Bugs? You think your SaaS product doesn't have bugs to work out? I've seen bugs in third party products cost our company millions. Everyone is shipping early and often. Including your SaaS. Every piece of software has bugs. But there is a big difference between a bug in your code and a bug in ours. When the bug is in your code, we are at your mercy. Maybe you put it into Jira immediately. Are you going to bypass sprint planning? You won't have a fix for two weeks. Maybe you'll fail to reproduce and blame our code. Maybe it is our code. Maybe its an interplay. Since you don't have our code and we don't have your code, how are we going to figure that out? If it's all our code, an employee can fix it in an hour. If we need to, we can throw ten engineers with agents in a call until it's reproduced, the fix is merged, and it's validated. Bugs are a non-issue. Bandwidth? Agents are nearly autonomous now. They don't need to be babysat. I can spin up a project and let an agent run for 50 hours, have it build a PowerPoint and walk into a demo with leadership blind. If anything breaks, "I'm still working on that." Things always break in demos. Nobody cares. If leadership proposes a feature, the answer is, "Yeah, great idea, I can add that." Because I can. Bandwidth is a non-issue. Maintenance? We have so much prior art, inputs and outputs, we can benchmark anything. We have autonomous PR systems built on top of in-app feedback SDKs so even the non-dev users can contribute to every app or service. Even our analytics systems are tied to automated PRs. Maintenance is a non-issue. Support? It doesn't matter how much we're paying a month for your platinum level enterprise support when our point of contact has to fetch the one dev who already went home for every non-trivial incident. The incident is never trivial. We already checked the top 10 things it could be because that was faster than asking you. Support is a non-issue. Expertise? Agentic research. We can build anything. Expertise is a non-issue. Cost? The cost of intelligence has gone down 100x every year. You're still charging 2022 prices. You should be charging closer to your electricity costs. Cost is a non-issue. At this point, the only reason we don't switch off existing services is that transitioning 15,000 employees to something else is a pain in the butt. It would be a pain in the butt even with a perfect bug-free, infinitely scalable, perfectly-reliable clone. Your new SaaS doesn't have that moat. But it does give me an idea for a product to build.

How about the robot is looking down while assembling a Swiss watch with one hand and then, without looking up, catches an oblique 100mph baseball with the other hand? I also like the idea of juggling chainsaws on fire while riding a unicycle.

Nationalizing SpaceX is an astronomically dumb idea.
So, some people reckon SpaceX should be Nationalized... Let's consider the scenario and most likely outcome/s for this disaster-prone idea: — SpaceX is not a private company anymore, — $2 Trillion plus (for now) will have to be paid to shareholders, or it will be the single biggest Class Action Lawsuit in human history, — Govt bureaucracy will infect the operations, — Innovation will come to a halt, — Cost to orbit will again go sky-high, — It will become another Taxpayer's money pit, — CHINA WILL WIN THE SPACE RACE — Bye bye humanity becoming a space-faring civilization We can literally go on and on...

Elon says agentic demand is growing faster than anything he's ever seen. Anyone running Grok Bot daily can feel it. OpenAI's AI red team found a hidden hole in Brotli, the library that unpacks compressed web traffic in Node, Bun, and curl. The fix sat unreleased since February. Patched now. Update tonight. The UK is funding a £100M AI Biosecurity Lab, plus up to £200M in OpenAI and Anthropic credits. Jensen says AI cloud demand is off the charts. Most voters don't want a data center nearby. Operators say they'll pay for their own power. Minecraft Java just got path-traced lighting with RTX Remix. Today's AI news with the help of Grok Bot.

People are in denial. They literally think they will wake up tomorrow and all the AI-generated code will somehow be useless, and we'll go back to typing code by hand like Neanderthals.

Waiting to see what the ppl posting this kind of jibberish will say in a few months when reality hits, bubble deflates, cost goes up, no agi anywhere, and your codebases are so full of vibe coded cr@p they're basically irrepairable.

Elon says just ask Grok Bot to put you on the do not call lists. It asks before it sends, posts, or buys anything. Microsoft's AI panel of agents beat ER doctors on real past cases in Science. More right answers. Fewer tests. Anthropic gave Agent Skills to an open foundation. A million skills, one shared format. Claude goes auto mode by default next week. A safety check blocks the risky steps. Claude also lands on Google Cloud. Gemini now plans your day from your saved places and calendar. Hugging Face's Carbon-X lets you chat with DNA on a laptop. Cybersecurity is going to be bumpy for a while here. Defenders need to start adopting more AI tools to keep up with the pace.
Amazing how quickly we went from "oh no LLMs are going to flood the Internet with insecure code" to "oh no LLMs have discovered the internet was already flooded with insecure code"
