I have a BSc (Comp). It had science subjects incl stats & psychology. I've had a long family history of a love-hate relationship with medicine. Most probably meant well but weren't always right. Some tweets maybe forthright, sarcastic or opposing view. Views are my own. YMMV.

Remarkable reporting by @Shelby_Wilder on @NEWSMAX as the network covers the evacuation from Oleshky.
"Why would some Ukrainians choose to stay in Oleshky? Because they fear being put in the hands of the Russians.
Even with the Ukrainian delegation on the ground, this being a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, these Ukrainians that have been in a war-torn city are afraid.
What if they could be subjected to filtration? What if they could be detained by Russian authorities going through screenings? Ukrainian men of fighting age fear they could be forced into Russian military recruitment as they try to leave. We are also hearing reports that civilians have been pressured to stay in Russia.
And again, the evacuation process that's taking place is not straightforward. Residents cannot go from occupied Ukraine into Ukraine because there is a front line. So civilians will be going from Oleshky through occupied Ukraine into Russia, into Belarus, and then back to Ukraine.
Newsmax is traveling with this humanitarian convoy, so we'll continue to bring you the latest updates as we get them."

Oleshky: a return of some of the Ukrainians to Ukraine-controlled territory who survived the Russian occupation and the aftermath of Russia blowing up the Kakhovka Dam, a Russian crime that flooded their land and homes.
Russia has starved them, took away their food, provided no medicine, and did not allow them to leave. Many people died - were killed - during the Russian occupation and in the aftermath of the flooding. We cannot know the exact figures, as this territory remains under Russian control.
Now Russians are trying to portray this as an act of humanism on their part. But in reality, they were pressured into letting these people go - people whose land and homes they had seized, whom they had tormented and condemned to death by starvation.
People left behind their seized and destroyed homes and fled to avoid starving to death. Almost all chose to go to Ukraine.
And I thank everyone who took part in this extremely difficult humanitarian mission, everyone who contributed and helped save Ukrainian lives.
Newsmax journalist Shelby Wilder on the situation in Oleshky:
Russia is using this humanitarian operation as a propaganda opportunity.
Moscow wants to portray itself as the rescuer of civilians in a city that it occupies, one it has destroyed and plunged into this humanitarian crisis.
And we need to be clear, Russia controls what we are going to be allowed to see.
Moscow appears to have brought in numerous Russian media compared to just the one American news outlet.

In Russian captivity, Ukrainian border guard Pavlo Shatokhin lost 80 kg.
Guards beat him unconscious for refusing to sing Russia's anthem. After repeated blows to the head with a baton, he could not eat or walk on his own for almost two weeks and had to be carried, Suspilne. 1/

The Zhytomyr Highway, west of Kyiv. The Battle of Kyiv, 2022.
Yes, this is just one of the many, horrifyingly many, charred graveyards left behind by Russian military columns destroyed and burned by Ukrainian forces. Back then, those columns were literally surrounding Kyiv from multiple directions.
I remember how, at another location along the same highway, closer to the city, there were entire junkyards of destroyed Russian military vehicles and wreckage. It seemed like there was an overturned tank with its turret blown off every ten meters.
And now they're trying to sell you this catastrophic defeat of Russia's elite forces outside Kyiv as some kind of "Oh, the Russian tanks just took a wrong turn and got stuck in the mud. Otherwise, they would've taken Kyiv in a matter of hours."
Please, don't let anyone make morons of you.
"No Maksym. Look at videos&comments of hundreds of ruzzians on social media absolutely every day rejoicing the killing of Ukrainian children & wishing for genocide. ... sadistic cowards and warmongers ruzzians have been for centuries." quote from Reelika..

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇺🇦 In just ONE WEEK Trump has:
• Lifted sanctions on Russian diesel.
• Suspended the Lindsey Graham sanctions against Russia.
• Called for Zelenskyy to be replaced.
• Claimed Russia could have taken Kyiv quickly if its tanks hadn’t driven into mud.
• Said Zelenskyy is harder to deal with than Putin.
• Called Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries a “disgrace”.
• Starshield was throttled, reportedly with White House approval.
• Missing critical US missile warnings.
Meanwhile, Russia continues bombing Ukrainian cities and killing civilians.

Mister President @realDonaldTrump ,
Since the US did NOT deliver any THAAD, Tomahawk or JASSM-ER to Ukraine, how can you claim that it is Ukraine’s fault that the US stocks are depleted ?
xitter.gq/SiljaLynx/status/21110…
👉‼️WRONG, once more, @realDonaldTrump ,
You burned through hundreds of Tomahawks in your own war of choice against Iran, then turned around and blamed Ukraine for a shortage that Ukraine never caused. - 🧵

This explains why some immigrants (legal or otherwise) find themselves on the voter registry despite no intention to register, not ticking the 'US citizen' box & never have voted. Some DMV's & schools have passed on misleading info or SW programmed wrong.

For the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague:
Russian propagandist Solovyev says that Russia’s goal is to kill all residents of Ukrainian cities:
"And to those Kyiv residents who are still there, I repeat for the hundredth time: leave the city. You are doomed. To the residents of Odesa and Mykolaiv: you’ve had your laugh. When people ask, 'Do we really have to think about them at all?' Yes. We are thinking about where to bury all of you."
Calls for the mass murder of civilians are classified under international law and national legislation as among the gravest international crimes and criminal offenses and may fall under several key categories:
• direct and public incitement to genocide;
• instigation of war crimes and crimes against humanity;
• war propaganda and incitement to hatred.

I am American but my roots are Lithuanian. russia is my enemy.
I know this enemy. It took everything from my family, including their lives and homeland. But they fought back anyway despite being murdered by the russians, exiled to Siberia, forced to run, etc. They were Lithuanian partisan fighters, translators, doctors, and rescuers.
Part of my family managed to escape and lived in displaced persons camps for 5 years before being accepted by America as war refugees. The other part of my family that wasn't killed was exiled to Siberia.
My great grandparents died never seeing Lithuania become free again. It would become free a few years after their deaths.
It is a pain I wish on no one.
russia is an ememy to the free world. History shows it. It's unfathomable to me that anyone could think otherwise.
