Both @aave and @Morpho are going for the $25 billion CeFi lending market in their own way
Expecting @Morpho Midnight to be increasingly used for OTC crypto backed loans by lenders
Midnight acts purely as infra replacing a tri-party arrangement where a custodian acts as collateral agent
Here the smart contracts are the collateral agent
I expect an increasing number of markets to be created for specific loans with no vault participation, keen to see if someone has data on that
This opens up a tri-party equivalent setup for lower ticket sizes
Limitation of course is smart contract risk
That is something @aave is working on with a very interesting proposal for Aave V4 Lending Market for Anchorage-Custodied Bitcoin
For large borrowers the @aave setup will have more size sooner I would argue. Borrowers will be more comfortable, same custodian as they are used to.
Remember in overcollateralized loans the borrower weirdly has more counterparty risk than the lender
Needless to say CeFi lending with rehypo and counterparty risk on the lender is here to stay. Tends to be cheaper!

everyone's tracking whale wallets. the most consistent $NEAR buyer isn't a fund. it's the protocol.
every swap through NEAR Intents pays a fee, and a cut of it gets turned into NEAR and sent to a wallet literally called buybacks.multisignature.near. the wallet is 7 months old, gets fed a few hundred NEAR at a time, around the clock, and already sits on 2m+ NEAR.
no feelings, no narrative, no CT. just fees. the more people swap, the bigger this whale gets.
add it to your watchlist 🐋

Aave V4 has officially surpassed $1.5B in deposits.
One important distinction: that's total deposits, not net TVL. On DefiLlama, TVL reflects deposits minus outstanding borrows.
I was looking at how V4's liquidity is distributed across chains:
> Ethereum: 68%
> Arbitrum: ~25%
> Avalanche: ~5%
V4 started growing in March 2026, and its share of @aave 's total TVL has gradually increased from practically 0% to around 4%.
Still relatively small compared to V3, but the growth has been consistent.
And I think this is just the beginning.

Back in July, I wrote that MetaMask’s Money Account on @monad could become a distribution engine for @Aave through mUSD.
The thesis is starting to play out.
mUSD on Aave has now grown to ~$39M in deposits and ~$31M in active loans, with most of that growth happening since September.
The interesting part isn’t just the deposits. It’s the ~80% utilization.
The original flywheel was:
1. MetaMask converts its massive user distribution into mUSD supply
2. Money Account routes that liquidity into Aave through @veda_labs
3. Aave turns that supply into productive lending liquidity
4. Borrow demand generates yield for mUSD holders
5. Higher yield makes mUSD more attractive, feeding more liquidity back into the system
We’re now starting to see both sides of that market form.
mUSD supply is growing, but borrowers are absorbing a substantial share of that liquidity.. And this is still tiny relative to MetaMask’s distribution.
If Money Account becomes a meaningful savings product for MetaMask users, Aave gets something much more valuable than another stablecoin market: a distribution channel capable of continuously feeding deposits into its lending markets.
The $1B+ mUSD market I mentioned in July is starting to look less hypothetical today.
Data by TokenLogic.
Today Aave deployed on @Monad with a $15M incentive package.
In less than 8 hours, user deposits reached ~$45M.
The last comparable @Aave deployment was Mantle. With half the incentives, TVL reached $1.5B at its peak.
This is interesting not only because @chainlink SVR is live since day 1, and because of its potential when looking at similar precedents, but also because of mUSD.
Until now, mUSD only existed inside the MetaMask app: you hold it, you spend it on the card, and behind the scenes it gets routed into lending. A user couldn't take mUSD and put it to work on their own. On Aave Monad, mUSD is now a supply and borrow asset any Monad user can use directly.
The distribution engine is what comes next. Metamask's Money Account is built on Monad and routes liquidity through Veda vaults. Soon, this setup will integrate Aave. Once that connects, the flywheel will work as follows:
1. Users get up to a 3% conversion bonus when converting USDC or USDT into mUSD on Money Account, increasing mUSD supply
2. Money Account routes those deposits through @veda_labs vaults into Aave on Monad
3. Aave gains supply-side liquidity
4. Yield flows back to mUSD holders, increasing demand for mUSD
That funnel creates a direct path for MetaMask's 30M+ users to interact with Aave through Money Account. Today mUSD is $28.5M in total supply, so the listing itself is small. The scale comes when Money Account plugs into Aave.
> For MetaMask, Aave lends legitimacy a $28.5M-supply stablecoin can't buy on its own. With a $100M supply cap, this single venue could support up to a 3.5x expansion in mUSD supply and market cap.
> For Aave, this could become a $1B+ market, driving its revenue and GHO's growth. Monad Foundation is acquiring 10M GHO.
> For Monad, this is a jackpot. Two huge integrations (Money Account and now Aave) in a matter of 3 days, both bringing stablecoin and on-chain liquidity float onto a seven-month-old chain.

What if one of crypto's most interesting investments has almost nothing to do with crypto?
Venice AI is reportedly generating $150M+ in annualized revenue and processing 500 billion AI tokens daily.
Revenue is funding VVV buybacks and burns.
The real opportunity?
A crypto token tied to growing AI demand, not Bitcoin's price.

near:native runs two of these at once.
Intents, the cross-chain swap layer, takes a fee on every trade and a cut buys NEAR on the open market: about 12K NEAR a day, $1.6M a month. The buyback wallets hold 4M NEAR today.
Separately, 100% of L1 gas burns. $790K in the last 30 days, and the last developer rebate goes away with the 2.14 upgrade next week.
Daily buying power: about $55K bought back plus $26K burned. Small next to HYPE, but it is funded by swap volume on other chains, not by NEAR's own activity.
Buybacks are everywhere right now
$HYPE — 99% revenue
$UNI — 100% revenue
$PUMP — 50% revenue
$STONK — 60% revenue
$ORE — 99% revenue
$PONS — 80% revenue
$JUP — 50% revenue
HYPE is buying back almost 2× more than PUMP everyday
STONK has burned the most % of total supply out of all of them
Here’s their daily buying power 👇
