Masculinity is not defined primarily by Stoic reserve. This is a Victorian cultural trope that's actually bad for men. The defining Masculine trait is actually courageous generosity. Men must know themselves and that means accepting that they are feeling beings. There is a huge difference between shedding a tear at an emotional scene in a story and being debilitated by an emotional breakdown.

Enough with this nonsense. Halloween is a Catholic holiday and requires no "saving" by protestant church ladies.
We have chapels made of human skeletons, for crying out loud.
If you are uncomfortable with mortality and embodiment, probably Catholic holidays aren't going to be your jam.
How should Christians approach Halloween?
Christians tend to fall into four different camps when it comes to participating in Halloween:
- Total abstinence
- Full participation
- Partial participation
- Redemptive participation
Some abstain from Halloween altogether. Others fully participate in the festivities, while some enjoy the family fun without participating in the glorification of evil.
I believe the better alternative is redemptive participation.
My mom has set this example for me for years. She uses Halloween as an opportunity to share the gospel by attaching Bible verses to candy, making Scripture signs for her front lawn, and sharing the love of Jesus with the families who come to her door.
As she says, “What other time of year do you have people coming to your home and asking you for something? This is like the easiest evangelism opportunity possible.”
A night associated with darkness can actually be an opportunity to shine the light of Christ.
In a short story I have never finished a female character pontificate on how women are objects to men. Objects to win or objects to use.
But men are also objects to women. Objects to extract resources or attention from.
Convinced the majority of the human species lacks a soul.
For the life of me, I will never understand the concept of wanting "better" than your spouse.
Also I am compelled to point out that seeking a "better" life through a...::puts on glasses and looks at paper closely::...a man... 🤔 ...means that you define your existence by what a man provides for you instead of a life you shape for yourself and THAT is patriarchy.
