It is much more difficult to arrange your behavior to serve your ideals.
It is much easier to arrange your ideals to serve your behavior.
-Do you use truth to drive action or proof to excuse it?
I had a friend incredibly admit this today. Essentially he asked me if I believe a true thing that cuts against liberal dogma and I said yes. He said he was concerned about me because believing true things can lead to social isolation and wondered why that didnβt change my mind.
Replying to @xwanyex
I firmly believe that what makes someone a liberal or conservative is fundamentally based on whether you value social consensus or truth. This behavior is also explained by social consensus as their highest value. They believe ideas that challenge the consensus are dangerous.
Worse yet itβs stolen valor
You can see how the aesthetics of debate give the left wingers the advantage post Charlie.
They walk up and say:
βWe killed you and we will kill you again?β
And then whatβs the response?
A joke? That seems weak.
A prayer? That looks like cope.
Answer the threat with a threat? You just got TPUSA ejected from campus permanently
The assassination of Kirk let the left show its power, and they are reveling in it.

FAIR estimates illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers $150.7 billion annually, including expenses for U.S.-born children of undocumented immigrants.
After spending the day talking to my Democrat friend itβs clear that they cannot be reasoned or negotiated with. Theyβre also giant pussies who will yap a lot but never bite.
You just have to do the thing that will save the country.
All they will do is cry and complain. Until itβs goodβthen they will pretend they were cool with that part all along. Normies will also blindly follow if itβs good. Women will submit to strength/high status no matter what.
Itβs all there, waiting for us to set right, anon.

Police using AI risks making discrimination worse, researchers warn bbc.in/4kg6uug
I have been stealing from a local grocery store for 25 years and the other day they had a security guard tell me I could no longer enter the store. What gives? After getting away with it for that long I should be free to steal forever!
A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. He was then sent to his home country, despite a determination by a U.S. immigration court judge that he could not be deported there due to likely persecution. cbsn.ws/3Ude66r
Scientists are overrated/not that smart man
My childhood self had no idea
Will not explain; more concerned with the deeper implications about this realm and human existence
Hereβs a rather extraordinary discovery: humanity seems to have interrupted the beginning of the next ice age. We thought it might happen in the future, but the evidence suggests it's already happened.
A new study in Science argues that the next major glaciation had already begun roughly 2,000 years ago, before modern warming reversed the trend in the 20th century.
The evidence comes from the Barnes Ice Cap on Baffin Island, the last surviving remnant of the enormous Laurentide Ice Sheet that once covered much of Canada and reached as far south as Illinois.
Because Barnes is frozen directly to its bedrock, advancing ice buries and preserves vegetation beneath it. Researchers radiocarbon dated plants emerging as the ice retreats to reconstruct its history.
They found that after melting to a minimum extent around 3,000 years ago, the ice began expanding again about 2,000 years ago. The researchers interpret this as the earliest stage of the next glacial period.
Left to natural orbital cycles, that cooling would have unfolded extremely slowly, potentially taking tens of thousands of years to rebuild a continent spanning ice sheet.
But around 1960, the trend reversed. Summers became warm enough that Barnes began losing more ice than it gained, despite Northern Hemisphere summer sunlight continuing to slowly decline in a way that should favor renewed glaciation. Greenhouse warming had (thankfully) overwhelmed the natural cooling tendency.
The Barnes ice cap may now disappear entirely within the next few centuries, removing the final remnant of an ice sheet that repeatedly served as the nucleus for much larger glaciations.
There is a remarkable deep time perspective here. For millions of years, orbital cycles have pushed Earth between warmer interglacials and colder glacial periods. According to this study, that ancient cycle had started turning once again.
Then, in the geological equivalent of an instant, humanity pushed hard enough in the opposite direction to stop it.
Just so we're clear, this is a very very good thing.

The nuclear family is disappearing in parts of Americaβs biggest cities, per a new Institute for Family Studies report.
In some neighborhoods of Cleveland, Washington, D.C., Milwaukee and Detroit, fewer than 1 in 4 households with children are headed by married couples.
The biggest βmarriage desertβ is South Central and Southeast Detroit, where just 13% of householders are married.
Thank god we can find and intercept lost hikers as they mistakenly run away from rescue in dense forest!
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.
