This is Fadi al-Halsa, a young Orthodox Christian (Rum Orthodox) dentist from Karak, Jordan who only just graduated from Alexandria University's dental school this year. Instead of celebrating his bright future, Fadi's parents and two sisters are now laying him to rest. Fadi was martyred in the Karak Saint George Church terrorist attack in Jordan.

Kara Swisher was an assistant editor at the Washington City Paper in the 1980s, and I saw her every week when that paper was produced at my Baltimore City Paper. Didn't crack a smile even then. And there was a LOT to laugh about with our staff.
