🚨HORRIFIC CONDITIONS at Bhiwandi BMC Center
Dogs left in filthy, unhygienic cages filled with feces, urine & swarms of flies. Recently operated/sterilized dogs are lying in dirt with zero post-op care. Puppies are exposed to severe infections.
THIS IS CRUELTY.

Public animal slaughter during yearly rituals like those at Bhavani Mandap in Kolhapur and the Ugratara Temple subjects defenseless animals to unimaginable fear and pain amidst cheering crowds. Such public slaughters remain illegal across India. Yet they are practiced openly.

The great rabies scam enabled through corruption! It's the innocent animals who have to suffer. #SaveIndianDogs
Civilized societies prioritize saving human lives, maximizing their happiness, and minimizing their fears. Many dog owners spend time and money to train, vaccinate, and neuter their pets to live responsibly in their societies.
On the other hand, the so-called "dog lovers" of India only want to feed and pet the strays without being responsible for the trauma, deaths, and accidents on Indian streets they cause. They must give up the selfishness of their low-touch attachment and oxytocin hits to prevent such unfortunate incidents and let municipalities do their job of animal control.

People are gathering around, causing more stress to the animal.
The original reel lacked location and contact info. I am asking the uploader for details, attaching the source ID in the thread.

Important to oppose the Draft Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Control and Supervision of Experiment, Breeding and Trading of Laboratory Animals) Rules, 2026.
I would appeal to all to oppose the Draft Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Control and Supervision of Experiment, Breeding and Trading of Laboratory Animals) Rules, 2026.
The draft rules, circulated by the Centre, will allow capture and use of wild animals—including endangered or protected Show More species under vague "scientific justification”. The draft rules also permit experiments on community and free-ranging stray dogs and cats.
The rules also accommodate extreme procedures, like electric shocks, prolonged isolation of animals like dogs and monkeys and induced tumors Animal lovers have opposed this. PETA India has demanded withdrawal of these draft rules.
One thing is clear. Change in animal lab testing rules will encourage cruelty to animals. If ethics panel gets the powers for granting approval to such lab experiments, nobody can stop it.
During lab tests, animals undergo insufferable pain, but they cannot express it like humans. Rabbits, rats, monkeys and dogs are kept in small cages in labs, they are given needle pricks regularly. Since they are animals, no consent can be taken.
The ideal condition is: use of animals in lab trials must be kept to the bare minimum and care must be taken that the animals do not suffer pain. As far as possible, non-animal testing should replace animal testing, but the new draft rules will put the clock back.
In many countries animal testing is difficult and costly, and India may be used as the place at cheap costs. This is dangerous. We should register our objections over these new draft rules.
Since November 5 is the deadline, I would appeal to all to scan the relevant QR code to register your objections.

Will you help me stop proposed rules that could put India's community dogs, wild animals and countless others at risk of painful laboratory experiments? We have less than 10 days to act.
The thought of a trusting dog or a monkey suffering in a laboratory breaks my heart. India is already advancing modern, non-animal science. We must move forward, not backwards.
Please join me. Animals cannot speak up for themselves, but we can speak up for them. ❤️

India celebrates bringing cheetahs back, spends crores on Project Cheetah, and calls it conservation. Then a 19 month old cheetah is shot dead with pellets.
Brilliant, isnt it?
A grand reintroduction campaign, but where is the protection?
Who is accountable when wildlife becomes a target?
Conservation cannot be a PR exercise.

#AnimalTesting #PETA #MyTake #AajKiBaat

Four years after allegations of a massive Rs 3.29-crore dog sterilisation scam rocked the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), the controversy has resurfaced as the official investigation report itself has reportedly gone missing. The scam revolves around claims that contractors were paid for sterilising 7,125 dogs during the strict COVID-19 lockdown between March and August 2020, a period when normal activities were completely halted. Significant discrepancies have also been found in the biomedical waste records maintained by the PCMC veterinary department and the assigned agencies. With the civic vigilance department under heavy scrutiny for alleged collusion and missing records, demands are now growing for a high-level CBI or ACB probe into the implicated organisations and civic officials to uncover the truth.

140+ wild animals reportedly killed on the Ballarshah–Gondia railway line between 2017 and 2026.
@byadavbjp must be comforting to be the Environment Minister while wildlife becomes collateral damage in the name of development.
How many more animals must die before your ministry wakes up? Or is protecting wildlife only a priority in speeches and on paper?
@moefcc @RailMinIndia the tracks are claiming lives.
Where is the accountability?
Where are the safeguards?
Apparently, the only thing moving slower than the trains is the governments response.
