“I regret not spending more against Angie” instead of “I regret not investing more in our nominee, Angie” is a willllld take Especially when your last filing shows you’re sitting on a $4m+ war chest. @AngieNixon crushed the primary because she focused on the issues of affordability, and met her neighbors where they were at. She closed a 16-point gap from ‘22 to a slim 2-point margin this election. Angie & her team are the reason Florida is in play for ‘28. Angie & her team deserve their flowers & well deserved rest for helping break the FL Republican supermajority.
Now that the midterms are over, let me correct the record.  -I wasn't handpicked by Chuck Schumer. I didn't even talk to the man until after I announced.  I’m not sure exactly what a corporate or establishment Dem is, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a first-time candidate or a career military guy. Call me a moderate, I’ll take it. I always think big, but I don’t let idealism get in the way of getting a job done. I’m practical and would take Medikids and lower age limits for Medicare to expand healthcare and drive down costs over nothing at all. In 2028 after a Dem trifecta, I expect bold moves. -Be an asshole and call me a carpetbagger! So I moved here four years ago, AFTER SERVING IN THE FOR 21 years. I'm here with my family, raising my daughter, and caring for my elderly parents in SoFlo. I decided to run because it was clear that the midterms would trigger a Blue Tsunami, because Trump sucks. And I saw a path to win the general election. I jumped-in to help. Call it a call to serve. Same one from a lifetime of service. Let's just say I was very skeptical, because hey its Florida, but I wasn't going to sit on my ass when the stakes were so high. No I didn’t move to Florida to run for Senate! 🙄 -I have some regrets, but even in losing, I delivered 1.5M to Florida candidates and to races that would have otherwise been left short-changed. I feel that in some small way I pitched in to help break the super majorities in the Florida House and Senate. -I invested 3M in total to campaigns and parties around the country including Iowa, Ohio, Alaska, etc., including in Kansas and South Carolina when few were looking there. -I wish I had chosen to outspend Angie 20, 10, or even 5 to 1 on the primary. I only spend 2:1 on the primary. Obviously a HUGE mistake. I was too focused on defeating Moody and building real democratic power. -Angie was tireless in making her case to primary voters, while I was trying to connect with potential crossover voters without first securing my base.  -I neglected to heed the old maxim always fight and finish the battle in front of you. -I never took a penny from AIPAC. Those claiming otherwise, when they knew better, were playing to the old Jewish dual allegiance troupe.

BREAKING: The new Majority Leader of the Colorado House Democrats’ supermajority is Javier Mabrey, a democratic socialist!! I’m so lucky to call Javi a close friend. We first talked about him running for office back in 2021, and ever since he’s been the absolute MVP in the State House on every progressive fight. Colorado’s workers and renters just got a real champion at the leadership table! HUGE win for the working class.

Navajo Nation Council Speaker Crystalyne Curley (a Democrat) overcame a primary deficit to defeat attorney Justin Jones (a Republican) and become the next President of the Navajo Nation. Incumbent Buu Nygren lost in the primary, the fourth straight President to lose re-election.

BTW, Abdul won the two precincts in West Bloomfield which includes Temple Israel by 15.5 and 18 points, respectively. Narratives told for months not based in evidence or truth must be ended.

Extreme levels of cope happening online in how centrists are responding to DSA candidates being electoral overperformers. This invalidates almost all of their predictions from 2024-2025 “WAR” debates

Not to be outdone, but Michigan also elected its first ever openly transgender state legislator last night with Joanna Whaley winning #HD02 (Harris+1.5) on the outskirts of Detroit. Not only did she win, she won by 25 points! A huge overperformance! xitter.gq/Uncrewed/status/211784…
BIG news out of Alabama, as Allison Montgomery has become the first ever openly transgender state legislator in Alabama history! She flipped the Trump+5 #HD25 on the west side of Huntsville

If it holds--and I think it will--the single most significant outcome wasn't in TX or NC or SC... it was Mississippi. Scott Colom, a Black man with a moral argument, defeated incumbent Confederate-nostalgic Cindy Hyde-Smith. It's historic in a way that brings tears to my eyes.

This is all window dressing. If Daines and Alme don’t ratfuck the filing deadline one of Tester or Bullock gets into that race and based on tonight they very likely win.
The weird thing is that winning a seat in Montana by a D-leaning independent was well within grasp. But the Dem nominee refused to withdraw despite there being no way she could even come in second place. And so that pick up didn't happen.

Update?
When Beau Bayh loses, it will be the final nail in the coffin of the Democrat Party in Indiana. The majority of Hoosiers fundamentally don’t trust Democrats no matter how many outside dollars they raise, disingenuous ads they run, or spoiler candidates they team up with

Strategy of running independents in red states went absolutely nowhere. In ID & SD, it wasn't close at all. NE looks less close than 2024. In Montana, the Dem nominee got all the attention—but prominent Dems like Tester faced no scrutiny for recruiting an indy while having zero plan to clear field for him.
