If we want to win the AI culture war we have to win in healthcare. A small fraction of people outside of SF care about math or coding. Everyone has a stake in their own health and the health of the people they love. Most think AI is going to create massive wealth concentration, but this is about creating abundance for everyone. Dramatically increasing access to world-class healthcare will show that.

RIP motion designers. Absolutely blown away by the visual and sound design from Opus 5.5. Experimenting with potential launch videos for @getrenapp with one-shot prompts using Opus 5.5. Prompt: "[gave access to Ren repo] Make a dynamic 30-second motion graphics video for Ren that shows off your motion and sound design. Go crazy." After each video I told it to one-up the previous one with its capabilities. Here are the results:

Compared my sleep stats with 20 of my friends using Sleeper - here's what I learned: - sleep is so career dependent. Liam (#1 wake time) is at a hedge fund, lives his life like an athlete. My banker friends have massive variance, when they go to bed is dependent on how busy work is. - most my friends are in their 20s and live in NYC. This leads to extreme social jetlag (weekend bedtimes/wakeups are a lot later than during the weekday) - impressive heart rate metrics are tired with fitness levels. My endurance athlete friends (marathons, ironmans, etc) consistently have lower RHRs and higher HRVs) - recommended sleep levels for adults is in the 7 to 9 hour range. The vast majority of my friends were under that. We need to sleep more! - in follow up conversations with my friends, many of them want to improve their sleep but don't know what would work. Or they take a bunch of supplements but don't see any progress. - sleep is hyper-personal. If I got consistently the same amount of sleep as some of my friends I might be dead. It's abundantly obvious that everyone's body needs different things - blanket health advice doesn't work.

Personal update: I've left Multicoin to start a company, Ren (@getrenapp). Infinitely grateful for my time at Multicoin. Was a privilege to have worked with such an exceptional team and group of founders. As for Ren and what's next—we are running n-of-1 health experiments to help people figure out what interventions work for them. We want to make healthcare outcome-denominated and abundant. More on the vision below:
