Two months ago, I left Evercore to build the health product I wish existed years ago with two of my best friends
As we gear up for an official launch, I wanted to give some background into what we’re building and the decision-making behind it
@getrenapp
It's crazy to think about how much @getrenapp has grown in the last 4 months.
Thanks to everyone who's supported us along the way! Can't wait to see what our team can accomplish in the next 4 months.
(psst dm me and i'll bump you up)

Today we're releasing our public beta to the first 1,000 users off our waitlist.
Literally just booked 4 international flights
What took so long? @bookwithmiso
Couple days into posting on social media
Now have a backlog of 15 videos
Some interesting observations:
- Instagram is doing better than TikTok. Think it’s a product of people sharing more than on TikTok
- I have no idea what’s going to do well. Hopefully this sense builds up over time but seems like luck on what does well
- Didn’t realize how much of a science curating good hooks / writing scripts is. I want to get to the point where I just am able to come up with good hooks as I’m talking
- Turned off all notifications, going to try to stop myself from checking how my posts are doing. Can’t be good for me
- Doing this is less scary than I thought it would be. Fear of man is real
RIP motion designers. Absolutely blown away by the visual and sound design from Opus 5.5.
Experimenting with potential launch videos for @getrenapp with one-shot prompts using Opus 5.5.
Prompt:
"[gave access to Ren repo] Make a dynamic 30-second motion graphics video for Ren that shows off your motion and sound design. Go crazy."
After each video I told it to one-up the previous one with its capabilities. Here are the results:
Just hit day 60 on my own plan! 1/6 (ish) of the way through
Couple things:
- so eye opening how connected the entire old testament is to the new testament and how many prophecies there are
- added a mode to the plan where you can skip through to the gospels (especially helpful for newer believers)
- been hard to stay in the routine of doing the daily reading (esp. on weekends), am trying to stay in more of a rhythm + not pushing it off to the end of the day when I'm tired
- the parts of the bible that are more "boring" are there for a reason. lot of passages written as historical accounts and increase the validity of the book itself
- a 365 day plan vs a shorter one spreads the bible out more and increases focus onto a narrower passage each day. have found this helpful, makes reflecting each day easier and more targeted
Happy Sunday! I built a 365-day bible reading plan to my personal website
Each day gives you the passage and a short analysis covering context, themes, takeaways, and a reflection
