On October 31st and November 1st 1948 IOF soldiers rounded up 90 men and boys and took them to a house in the village of Houla in southern Lebanon and shot them. Then house was then collapsed on them and they were only identified months later by their clothing.
In November 2024 the IOF entered Houla again and desecrated the memorial, daubing it with the words “the only good Shia is a dead Shia”. Now the village is inside the so-called “yellow zone” and has largely been destroyed.
This is what a genocide looks like.

As of Friday, he says, she was still telling the New York Times she wanted a Democrat to win Michigan.
“So she’s been lying throughout. This is hugely embarrassing for her and her supporters in the Democratic Party.”
“If Abdul El-Sayed loses on Tuesday, and if it’s close, you will see a lot of people blaming Haley Stevens and the Haley Stevens wing of the party, and they’ll be justified in doing so.”

‼️ Spent the day canvassing in Detroit. There’s a genuine feeling of betrayal, especially amongst Black voters, a demographic Haley Stevens won in the primary. She’s going against the coveted Obama endorsement in a county that’s been Democrat since 1978. I spoke to many people, mainly Black voters. Here are a few of the comments I heard.
- Black female voter in 40s: “I voted for her in August but now she’s really an internet celebrity (Hasan Piker) for why she’s going MAGA instead of her MAGA boyfriend? She can go but we’re not going with her.”
- Jewish college student voter in 20s: “Haley Stevens isn’t Black or Jewish but she’s using us as a crutch and blaming Hasan Piker for becoming a Republican. We voted blue no matter who, why can’t she?”
- Sikh college student voter in 20s: “I obviously voted for Abdul in the primary and again now. If Haley won the primary, I would’ve voted for her so we could beat Mike Rogers. Looks like she couldn’t do the same.”
- White male voter in 50s: “I’m a Democrat through and through. Haley Stevens lied to us and told us she was too.”
‼️ Haley Stevens endorsement seems to be having the opposite effect. I’ve been out here for a couple hours and I haven’t met any Democrats for Mike Rogers voters and I’ve now spoken to four Haley primary voters that made a point they’re going to vote for Abdul on Tuesday. I’ve continued to hear hate for Rogers and Trump, as expected here.
The principled left the world over faces the same issue of adversaries in their own ranks. We don’t have a unified strategy on this at all that works anywhere and it’s frustrating
