In the early 1970s, a young physicist named Jacob Bekenstein proposed something almost unbelievable:
Black holes have entropy.
Stephen Hawking, already a leading researcher in black-hole physics, strongly disagreed. If a black hole possessed entropy, it should also have a temperature. And anything with a nonzero temperature should emit radiation.
But black holes, according to classical general relativity, could not emit anything from within their event horizons.
Hawking considered this a serious objection to Bekenstein's proposal.
Then, in 1974, Hawking's own calculations showed that black holes really should radiate.

The tears in rain monologue in Blade Runner (1982) is still haunting. Few scenes feel so intimate, tragic and philosophical all at once.

For scale, the estimate of over 600 million tons of CO2 emissions in this story--just from new US data centers alone--is about twice the CO2 emissions of all the volcanoes on Earth
The data center boom could increase greenhouse gases so much that it reverses years of reductions in US power emissions, a new analysis finds bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

#PaleoAgainstAI
Interlacing parts of a good paleontologist's educative talk with AIGC is one of the WORST acts of disrespect a content creator can possibly commit.
It would make someone new to the field feel as if the AI video is scientifically credible, which is NOT AT ALL TRUE.

The "tyrant sea bear", perhaps the most overhyped prehistoric beast to get any attention online. It's literally just a single large femur found near London. Given the close link (and genetic admixture) between browns and polars, such a fragmentary specimen is worthless for ID.

I had another cartoon where Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "I have a dream." and Trump said, "I have a nightmare." Some suggested this version, so I drew it.
Both are true.

Trump: I'm the only president to pass. I passed 3 cognitive tests. And they're hard. They have a lion, a bear, a snake, and a camel. They say, which one is the snake? It's a very powerful test, very highly respected test, very well known test, 30 questions, very hard. I passed it all 3 times. I aced it
Beautiful.
