During lockdown I kept a diary of all the incompetence, lies & mismanagement of this Tory government. It is now a book. Lest we forget, it is all in here!

@campbellclaret unfortunately the characteristics you admire, are not ones I want in a Prime Minister. He couldn't get the job by fair means to resorted to foul..... Not for me and I have supported @UKLabour all my life. Not under Burnham. Never

It’s terrible. It’s the way he pretends it isn’t Starmer and Reeves. So deceptive.

Absolute rubbish. He’s announcing Starmer’s policies and benefiting from Starmer’s work internationally. Starmer and his team did all the negotiating with the EU,90% of the work was already done. Burnham will just step in and take the credit like he always does.

Yet again
Another one Burnham is trying to take credit for and making out that it's new.

Unpaid carers thrilled to hear from the Chancellor of the 2030 start for the end of the cliff edge which means if they earn 1p over £204 a week they lose all their Carers Allowance - until they realise that is the year it begins not the time!

England's most senior hospital doctors plan to strike on 25 and 26 November after the BMA said the government had failed to offer any meaningful commitment to solving the long-running dispute. news.sky.com/story/senior-do…

#democide Negligence whilst in public office Criminal offence Arrest warrants needed
What time can we expect the arrest of Boris Johnson & Matt Hancock for the negligent homicide of THOUSANDS of our elderly relatives, when they sent infected patients into care homes and then went on TV to brag about their protective ring bullshit. Do we still arrest murderers?

Burnham is also arrogant and vain. He might be ruthless but he's also a liar. He's wandering about from one car crash to another.

Exactly. How people aren’t seeing it is baffling. He is an avoidant and a self-preening, smug, narcissist.

Alastair Campbell is right (not words I think I've said before!). Burnham isn't a "nice guy". He's not a genial, affable, professional Northerner. It's a facade covering up a deeply cynical, machiavellian, hyper-ambitious politician who will say anything to manipualte & for power
“He ousted a PM and Labour Leader who won a three figure landslide two years earlier, in part by people saying he’s a much nicer guy.” Alastair Campbell, author of 'Persevilience', discusses Andy Burnham’s “ruthless” streak and political “killer instinct”. #Newsnight

Shocking misleading by Burnham’s No 10 and Chancellor team. Par for the course I’m afraid. @LBC @SkyNews
Ignore everything I have posted about the end of the cliff-edge for Carers Allowance. Chancellor has just revealed the change will not happen until April 2030! So the tax rate on an extra 1p above the expected £212 threshold from April expected to be 895000% on the penny or 8950% on an extra £1.

Unbelievable @NatashaC @LBC saying Burnham RENEGING on a manifesto commitment to level up under 21 min wage and it’s “oh it’s only a small thing” says Natasha …imagine if it had been Starmer. Both her and Shelagh giving completely different treatment of him and our young people

Starmer told people that things were difficult then, along with Reeves, set about trying to make things better, quietly and methodically. It was working too, the figures show that. Burnham is like any other populist, big announcements, lots of self publicity, very little work.

I prefer honesty. We all know the situation is bad. Same as it was when Starmer first won. People accused him of not being positive enough. He was honest. When things are tough, trying to gloss these petty gestures as hope is insulting. Just be honest! Populist crap helps nobody

Burnham's camp did not like the joke about a Blairite, a Brownite and a Corbynista walking into a bar, and the barman saying "What's it to be Andy?" But it remains an accurate description of the man. He's all over the place. Here - in my view - he's correct on his headline point. But if you don't agree, another principle will be along in a minute:
There is nothing socialist about a system of free movement that is used by multi-nationals to undermine wages. WATCH my Brexit speech today.

It was already in place by Reeves in May - along with a package of other help on fuel, Energy etc How this can now be presented by Burnham & Healy as NEW and for this Budget is an absolute disgraceful lie xitter.cf/LabourBerry/status/211…

We're being saccharated with Burnham crap every minute of the day. There's not a moments breathing space from it.
EU. Of course Burnham didn't tell the cabinet what he was going to say. How could he? He doesn't know himself until it comes out of his fkin mouth. Oh ffs. We had a cautious PM with heft who was getting results and now we've got this. Some mornings it's just too much. #R4today
