If you thought MAGA getting cooked was over, Mich 4 turned blue for the first time in 92-years. Sean McMann beats Bill Huizenga. Release the files, end unconstitutional wars, prosecute war crimes etc. #election2026 #MichiganPolitics nbcnews.com/politics/2026-el…

$6.3B. Largest crypto theft ever. The cryptography never broke. No key "leaked." A DevOps laptop got compromised, the attacker reached an internal signing pipeline, and had it produce valid authorizations. The math held. The boundary around *what can make the system sign* didn't. "But multi-sig?" An exchange signs thousands of withdrawals a minute — no human clicks approve. The signers are automated. If one process can reach them, it doesn't steal keys; it asks, and the infra signs, because that's its job. m-of-n means nothing when one actor can summon all n. WazirX was multi-sig. Bybit was multi-sig. Both drained. Signatures don't protect you when a single point can make the system produce them. On Ethereum this ran through EIP-7702 — one authorization was all it took. Both are real flaws: the signing path reachable by one human is what let them get a valid authorization at all, and 7702 made it permanent — one auth turns the wallet into attacker code that keeps draining every future deposit. One let them in, the other made it catastrophic. When I was younger I studied Mitnick obsessively — not to break anything, but to understand hacking on a human level. His whole point: you don't beat the crypto, you beat the person, the process, the one endpoint with access. Thirty years later, $6.3B, same lesson. And that's the whole thing. Every one of these traces back to a human or a known endpoint sitting in the control path. The fix isn't better humans — it's removing the human-shaped single point entirely. No one person who can sign. No one machine you can phish. No named party you can subpoena. The tech enforces the rules; nobody can override it; the operators are anonymous and distributed, so there's no "guy with access" to compromise and no one to lean on. You can't social-engineer a system that gave no human unilateral power. The "recovery" this week? ~$3B frozen — by centralized issuers, USDC, USDT, a chain's security council. Not a decentralization win. Centralization doing what it's good at. But decentralized isn't inherently helpless. A truly decentralized network could freeze on a permissionless trigger, even revert only the malicious txs and nothing else. That system doesn't exist yet — or some of us are quietly building it. Security is the product. Anonymous, decentralized, with the tech holding the rules and no single point to break — that's not an ideology. It's the only architecture this hack couldn't have touched.
Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified. The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far. Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete. As an immediate precaution, Binance has: - temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed; - revoked the affected address authorisation; - engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds. Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions. binance.com/en/support/annou…

Angine de Poitrine hype is my favorite thing of 2026. Obviously I'm assuming everyone's at least seen their KEXP video but absolutely nutty. Something great about microtonal dissonance, the costumes and it's been cool to see the energy grow at live shows. youtu.be/0Ssi-9wS1so?si=sJvi…

What to watch for next 2/4🧵: IBM distribution × customers × identities × lifecycle events × HCS writes per lifecycle for IDTrust. 1. Named IBM customers deploying IDTrust. Distribution vs production/customer usage. 2. Mainnet account /topic IDs - watch activity if THG releases
🚨HUGE $HBAR PARTNERSHIP: THE HASHGRAPH GROUP JUST BECAME AN IBM SILVER PARTNER, WITH ITS HEDERA POWERED IDTRUST PLATFORM NOW LISTED ON IBM CLOUD. That puts technology built on @hedera directly in front of IBM’s global enterprise customers (IBM one of the biggest companies in the world). $HBAR is moving deeper into the enterprise world. 🔥

3/4 Transaction metrics. What is the overall contribution of something like this, see formula above. How many credentials IDTrust issues? (E.g) 100 enterprise customers × 100,000 agents/devices/users × 20 identity events/year = 200 million HCS transactions/year *made up numbers

Great to see Hedera Council representation on the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform 👀 Trust and safety are what the AI economy needs to scale responsibly.
Today, with over 100 industry partners, we introduced the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform, bringing together OpenShell and Sentry. Artificial intelligence is extraordinary technology that will advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity for generations to come. But its full promise can only be realized when people have confidence that AI is being built to be safe and deployed with wisdom and responsibility. This is bigger than a single product. It's the beginning of an open ecosystem to build the trust layer for safe agent systems. Together, we are building the foundation of the AI economy. Trust and innovation are not in conflict. Safety is how trust is earned. We must build not only the most capable AI, but the most trusted AI, so that this extraordinary technology can realize its enormous promise for the world. nvda.ws/4hcoq7m

Was it a butt dial? The days go on and it seems like the lights are on but no one's home. Whether Feinstein (nonagenarian, 90) or McConnell (octogenarian, 84). We need to give dignity and a graceful way out for these elder statespeople. Craziest claim of 2026 @ScottJenningsKY.
I spoke to my old friend Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior Senator from Kentucky. He’s still recovering in the hospital. We talked for just shy of 20 minutes … about IRAN, UKRAINE, the unfolding situation in MAINE, my visit to the TR Presidential Library, and even a little bit of Senate history. I told him we want to see him back at work as soon as possible.

Random thought, @DeanTTraining have you ever gotten into making curries? Did a potato recipe last night with yogurt base and chicken as well. Need to up my potatoes/week numbers but I feel like I stumbled into a easy meal prep which seems good for macros. This was $6 ish lol

Probably the only project in crypto that's actually given me an ROI. Art =/= investment, RWA tied to real life land that's tokenized and fractionalized ownership. Larping to the choir but let's go🔥
Word on the street says were going so much higher! What crypto are you holding?
