It’s a great day to read (or listen to) The Stolguard Incident by Lyn Alden 👀 audible.com/pd/B0H2BHLNKV
Fable apparently disproved an 87-year-old famous math conjecture. Basically Good Will Hunting'd it. Imagine if there were certain unsolvable problems that, if solved, would let the attacker do immense damage. Anyway, totally unrelated, did I mention I have a sci fi novel.😉

History doesnt repeat, but it rhymes.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Good to see @RealAngelaMc bringing the Samourai Wallet case to @Timcast's audience. Most people still have no idea developers are facing prison for writing code. The more people who hear about this the better.

Admiral Paparo: "Bitcoin shows incredible potential for national security, and proof of work imposes more cost than just the algorithmic securing of networks." The Pentagon is framing Bitcoin as a cybersecurity tool and a form of power projection.

If your knowledge base isn't rapidly expanding, best get to it. xitter.gq/i/status/2027055529764…
Two types of people right now: Group 1: - “AI will take my job” - “Market is dead, nothing works” - “Everything is saturated” - “Only insiders make money” - “It’s too late to start now” - “I missed the opportunity” Group 2: - learning tools nobody taught them - building things nobody asked for - posting when nobody is watching - stacking skills while others panic - becoming dangerous while others complain - quietly positioning for the next 10 years AI won’t decide your future. Your group will. Which group are you in?

The most cyberpunk video you will see today. This portable container of Bitcoin mining computers are plugged into an oil well somewhere in the North Dakota wilderness. It makes a profit by using the extra methane gas that is usually wasted and burned.
