I talked to a company last week that has 30 years of institutional knowledge living on post-it notes and in people's heads.
They're spending months manually interviewing employees to capture it all. Recording conversations, transcribing, organizing.
One person leaves and a piece of the business walks out the door with them.
This is the problem nobody's solving with AI yet.
Not chatbots. Not automation. Not replacing anyone.
Just making sure that when your best operator retires, their 30 years of knowledge doesn't retire with them.
Every company has this problem. Almost none of them are doing anything about it.

Government has no shortage of important problems to solve - but we do have shortage of talented, patriotic Americans willing to roll up their sleeves and solve them. I joined @davidsenra @FoundersPodcast to talk about modernizing federal retirement, making government work better, and creating a culture where people are empowered to try new things.
If that sounds like the kind of work you want to do, check out earlycareers.gov. 🇺🇸
Scott Kupor (@skupor) was the first hire at Andreessen Horowitz. Marc and Ben still joke that if he had said yes sooner, the firm would be called Andreessen, Kupor, Horowitz.
His job description: "We're going to invest, and you need to figure out everything else."
Scott spent 16 years helping grow a16z from 3 people to about 700. Now he runs the Office of Personnel Management, the HR department for 2 million federal employees.
Scott explains how a16z borrowed Michael Ovitz's playbook from CAA, why only 7% of the federal workforce is under 30, and why 400 million pages of retirement records sit in an underground limestone mine in Pennsylvania.
This is a fascinating conversation about incentives, talent, and what it takes to turn a 2.3-million-person oil tanker.

42 years ago tonight, a boy named Daniel Larusso was brutally attacked by a gang of masked thugs.
Two months and one illegal crane kick later, young Daniel would exact his revenge with the help of a maintenance man from Okinawa.

Point 2: true, and timeless. Young guys always think they know more. I did. So did you, or you wouldn’t be where you are.
Point 1: way off. Our portfolio owns a workforce education company.
Here’s what I see:
-Top performer, cut for making too much commission.
-Startups with ideas like Community-Adjusted EBITDA get sold. Equity worth nothing.
-We had a global Halloween party in 2020 we’re still paying for. Loyalty issues on a global scale.
-PE-backed employer cuts a slice every quarter to service the debt.
-AI is great, but it’s swinging its sickle on headcount right now.
-College coaches have always been loyal to the next dollar. NIL lets the players do the same. Most industries are headed down this path.
Executives get parachutes. Front lines get a gap on the resume.
Filter on loyalty and you’re not doing your job.
PugsNeedHugs is learning life OJT.
Biggest mistake I see young people making is jumping around from job to job. Looks horrible on the resume and you aren't sticking around long enough to really figure things out.
Second biggest mistake is 24 year olds that think they are smarter than guys that have been in business for 20+ years. Maybe those people know something and you might learn a thing or two if you pay attention.

I've got a candidate in Houston that is seeking a GM role- prior Army.
Truly impressive, driven young man.
He has extensive experience in waste management and logistics, and his career goal in the next 5 years is to be a GM. F
rankly, he's definitely ready for it right now.
Happy to make an introduction. This dude deserves the opportunity he seeks.

I joined my partners at a Private Equity speed dating event today. 😂
Imagine a room full of grown men in blue suits and quarter-zips trying to figure out who’s worth $100 million and who’s just pretending.
Everyone conversation starts with…
“What’s your EBITDA?”
I’ve never seen so many men get excited over another man’s cash flow.
Apparently the bigger your EBITDA, the more attractive you become.
Private equity is a strange dating pool. 😂

Anthropic just filed to go public.
I read the S-1. Some of this is genuinely insane... ONE CONTROLS THE ENTIRE COMPANY 😂
> $16.3 billion in revenue in the first six months of 2026. Up roughly 14x from last year.
> $80.7 billion net loss. Although $72.4 billion of that is noncash accounting adjustments. Quite the footnote.
> 900% net revenue retention. Yes, nine hundred percent.
> A SINGLE share of stock gives Anthropic's seven founders 50.1% of the shareholder voting power.
> Another single share lets an independent AI safety trust elect a majority of the board.
> Public investors get one vote per share. Which sounds nice until you read the previous two bullets.
> The founders pledged 80% of their equity to philanthropy. The S-1 clarifies those pledges are voluntary, revocable and legally nonbinding.
> And then there's the risk factor warning that its own technology could potentially cause catastrophic or EXISTENTIAL harm to humanity.
I've read a lot of securities filings. The possibility that your product might end civilization is not typically something you see in the risk factors.
Anyway, ticker is ANT...
