The hypocrisy of saying fanfic writers have no say over their work bc it's based on someone else's characters while somehow respecting fanart and fanedits ownership/boundaries.The "not yours,it's based on someone else's work" only comes out when it's convenient to dismiss writers

Fandom→community of fans Community→people interacting, sharing, discussing, creating, engaging. You cannot expect a community to thrive when you consume everything it produces but refuse to interact,offer feedback,show appreciation. That's not community. That's just consumption

Writers DO write for the love of it.They create stories spend hours writing and share them FOR FREE so YOU can enjoy them.And this is how you treat them?You expect endless free content while acting lik leaving a kudos or a comment is some outrageous demand?The fucking entitlement

This whole AO3 disaster has really exposed how many people don't understand consent, don't care to understand it, and are somehow incredibly proud of that. What an embarrassing hill to die on.
