What Shapiro has done in Pennsylvania is incredible. He’s single-handedly repaired the Democratic Party’s image for PA citizens by demonstrating good governance and avoiding academic, ideological fights. He could only win by 23 points by bringing in independents & republicans.
Governor Josh Shapiro says he is “thinking about right now governing with a Democratic trifecta for the first time since 1978” instead of running for president
“I think coming from the swingiest swing state in America, we’ve got a little bit to say about that, and I definitely intend to be a part of that conversation about what our party looks like going forward.”

Who said it better?
Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Davis Gates is now claiming Hilario Dominguez’s 18-point loss was the result of outside spending “rigging the results” in the race for board president.
This comes less than 24 hours after Gates invoked the threat of a teachers strike.
This kind of rhetoric should be called out for what it is.
The Chicago Teachers Union’s political leadership is refusing to accept the results of this election.
Have to keep them honest....
Stacy, CORE and Brandon had 15/21 seats in January '25. They are going to have 8 or 9 in January '27. Stacy already threatened to strike.
That doesn’t sound or feel like a win to me.
Neither does Hilario losing by 18% in a 3 way race....
They spent a million dollars a week. They still couldn’t win the argument.
Public School Champions are headed to the Chicago Board of Education in January: educators, parents and organizers who know our schools from the inside.
They have the money. We have each other, and we have the argument.

Just like Elon couldn't buy Texas, Michael Sacks couldn't buy our first fully elected Chicago School Board.
Our pro-workers, pro-immigrant, pro-peace, and people powered progressive movement won. We are ready to hold the fascists accountable and deliver EVERY SINGLE THING working people need to thrive.

Proud of my colleagues Pat Dowell, Scott Waguespack and Nicole Lee who negotiated this deal to help protect our pensions. Today we voted 44-6 to make an additional pension payment over the objection of Mayor Johnson. chicago.suntimes.com

Here are my endorsements for School Board. A board that will be independent of the Mayor and the CTU! #Vote #HistoricElection

Big thank you to Anthony Hargrove, who is running for School Board in District 5B (including the West Loop!), for making it out to the 34th Ward Halloween Party this morning!
I’ve endorsed Anthony and encourage those in his district to vote for him.

I’ve been a Democrat for 34 years. But I was a Jew and a Zionist before I was a Democrat. I believe in affordable healthcare, housing and helping working families. None of that requires me to excuse antisemitism. We should demand all of it from our candidates.

Logan Square, a neighborhood of 70k people led by Ald. Quezada, is more unaffordable than ever because he only wants to build ‘affordable housing’
Yet since 2022 has only built 47 units total. Building housing doesn’t cause gentrification, it prevents it

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."
