We announced an agreement to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio that will pave the way for @Starlink to become a major mobile carrier in the US.
With this new spectrum and our Gen2 constellation, Starlink Mobile can ensure Americans have access to high-speed mobile broadband no matter where they are → spacex.com/updates#starlink-…

SPACEX: Today, SpaceX was granted patent US 12,757,141 B1.
A Starlink satellite talks to phones on the ground through many narrow beams at once. A phone near the middle of a beam is closer to the satellite than a phone at the edge, so its signal arrives a little sooner. Cellular networks expect those arrivals to line up. If they do not, calls and data can slip out of step.
This patent is how SpaceX fixes this. For each short slice of time, the satellite measures how long the signal takes on every beam, using the distance from the satellite to a reference point inside that beam’s footprint. It then holds the faster beams in a buffer just long enough that every beam matches the slowest one. The phone sees one steady delay instead of a mix.
The patent covers the satellite computer and the phased-array antenna that do this, plus the link from the satellite through a gateway into a normal mobile carrier’s network.

The NGOs end up increasing the number of homeless people they manage, because that’s the only way to increase their revenue! Incentives drive outcomes.
“Homeless” is a propaganda word used to describe people on the street who are mentally ill or severely addicted to drugs. The word implies that this is someone who fell a little behind on their mortgage payment and they’re one job offer away from getting back on their feet, which is obviously false if you’ve ever tried talking to a “homeless” person in SF, LA, NY, Austin or anywhere else.
The honest reality is that we need to bring back asylums for extreme mental illness or drug addiction for those who are a serious danger to themselves or others.
Incentives determine outcomes
If you give an NGO a certain number of dollars per homeless person, they will never solve homelessness
SF spends more than $1b/yr (up 5x) and the homeless population has only grown
NGO fraud is so insane, man.

Unpopular opinion but we spend far too much time organising our society around the lowest 20%.
The poor, violent, uneducated, underperforming, illegals, refugees etc etc we throw BILLIONS at them every year and they never seem to get any better.
Instead we lack any compassion for the productive elements of society who get up every day and go to work. We tax them or 'red tape' them to such an extent that they've clearly stopped producing.
We need to build a society around the top 40% - lets get everyone rich. Start believing in ourselves again.

- $350M transactions. Zcash has 18M.
- $2.5B/yr in mining revenue -- Zcash has $0.6B
Zcash has millions from crypto VCs. Bitcoin had zero.

Zcash’s latest rally is a narrative bid. A big market cap does not mean a coin earned its place. Sitting near Solana and Hyperliquid on a ranking list does not mean Zcash does what those two do.
The launch was not fair. For the first four years, 20 percent of every block reward was taken as the Founders’ Reward. That money went to founders, staff, advisors, and early investors. It added up to 2.1 million ZEC, or 10 percent of the 21 million cap. Bitcoin paid miners. Zcash also paid a company and its backers. When that first cut was supposed to stop, a similar 20 percent cut came back as a “development fund”. A coin that writes itself into the block reward should not be sold as clean, neutral money.
The cut did not buy a real economy. Privacy was the sales pitch. Using it was optional. Open addresses stayed the easy path for exchanges and simple wallets. For most of Zcash’s life, most coins sat in the open. Optional privacy is marketing. Default privacy is the protocol. Management stayed a board fight: Electric Coin Company, the Foundation, Bootstrap, the brand name, the wallet, and who gets the cut. In January 2026 the whole ECC team left and said they were pushed out. That is not a side issue. That is how the project runs. A base-layer team that cannot stay in the same building as its nonprofit board is not “decentralized.” It is broken at the top.
Then came the security mess the market is already trying to skip. In May 2026 a serious bug in the Orchard pool was made public. It had been there about four years. In theory it could create fake ZEC with no clear on-chain trail. Because the pool is private, nobody can prove fake coins were never made. Ironwood in July closed the old pool and forced coins through a gate. That is cleanup, not a reason for a top-ten price. A money whose private supply cannot be checked like Bitcoin, and that needed an emergency fix after a four-year bug, is not “hard money.”
The point is plain. An unfair launch, a team cut without a matching product, years of board drama, and a four-year hole in the private pool are not the record of a top-ten network. They are the record of a story coin. Solana and Hyperliquid can be disliked for their own reasons. They still clear real use. Zcash cleared a listing and a squeeze. Those are not the same thing. Mixing them up is like sending 701.4 of the wrong asset, or treating EST and EDT as the same hour.
Six years ago, a Zcash team member wrote me and kept confusing EST and EDT. Communication went nowhere, I banned their entire company.
Six years later, this is still one of the best decisions I have made.
Still remember the BlockFi incident where they were supposed to send users 701.4 USD but actually sent 701.4 BTC? Anyone who cannot tell EDT from EST will probably also mix up BTC and USD.

Starship could eventually have 15 launch pads, 5× as many as Falcon 9 has today.
And each Starship could carry nearly 6× the LEO payload of a reusable Falcon 9.
SpaceX’s annual payload-to-orbit curve may eventually look almost vertical.

It’s sad to say, but onboarding merchants to Bitcoin is mostly LARPing at this point.
Successful examples of circular Bitcoin economies can basically be counted on one hand, and even those are mostly fun experiments rather than large-scale, fully functioning, self-sustaining economies.
That being said, if I could pay with Bitcoin at a particular place, I would do it and appreciate having the option. However, the truth is that 99% of the places supposedly accepting Bitcoin will stop accepting it after a few months if no Bitcoiners show up. The merchants simply forget how to process the payments and often never understood why they started accepting Bitcoin in the first place.
What problem are we really solving for them? In most countries, merchants have no problem accepting fiat payments. Accepting Bitcoin actually creates more operational challenges than it solves because of Bitcoin’s volatility and other associated risks.
Moreover, Bitcoin’s main narrative, its scarcity and ability to protect against inflation over the long term, is in direct contradiction with the small-payment narrative.
Does this mean Bitcoin is simply meant to sit idle in people’s stashes? Of course not. Bitcoin’s payment capabilities can be applied to many use cases, particularly censorship-resistant and permissionless payments, as well as larger business transactions.
Would I like to see a world in which merchants everywhere accept Bitcoin? Of course. However, I don’t see that happening until Bitcoin matures significantly and is adopted as a store of value on a much broader scale. That could take a long time unless a major event accelerates the process.
Until then, we need more serious business solutions and infrastructure capable of handling large amounts of capital.
