Communists are animals. They don’t have your morals. They don’t care. They’ll rob your grandma naked because they hate themselves and they cannot be fixed. Communism is a terminal mind virus.

PIRATE WIRES PODCAST: WE’RE SO BACK
Not a drill... the gang is back together for your favorite weekly pod. PW alum @metaversehell returns to the show with @micsolana and @rylzdigital where we talk:
The 25th anniversary of 9/11 and how much the world has changed since then, the Lindsay Clancy case and brainrot phone addiction, an Anthropic researcher’s warning, a deep dive into H1-B visas, and... are we all living in a simulation?
hey @YourOAAA, what's the largest billboard campaign (count not $$) of all time? asking for a friend.

honestly, i keep thinking about this result and it's just absurd.
in the 2022 PISA, el salvador scored 343 in math, 365 in reading, and 373 in science
near the bottom of PISA, close to guatemala and dominican republic
now the country has developed a program for education modernization in a pilot group of public schools with 1:1 AI tutoring and personalized learning
after the pilot had been running for BARELY OVER A YEAR, students got results comparable to germany and sweden.
that's more than an entire standard deviation
that is fucking insane
we should be talking about absolutely nothing else
if you actually care about poor children and equality of opportunity, the possibility of giving every child on earth an individualized tutor for a fraction of the cost of human 1:1 tutoring should be one of the most exciting developments in human history.
"it's all in the environment tards" should be drooling at the news
every government on earth should be running massive randomized trials of this right now, and if the effect survives, scaling it as fast as physically and humanly possible for every child on earth
the funniest part is that while the supposed "fascists" are celebrating poor kids learning, the people supposedly obsessed with inequality are barely talking about it, and if anything are banning AI in schools
revealed priorities are funny like that
“Results in reading, mathematics and science were above the national average and comparable to the average results in Germany and Sweden.”
These are the results of our pilot program, which includes AI tutors and has been running in 171 public schools for just over a year.
It was evaluated by PISA for Schools in June of this year. Since then, it has already expanded to more than 1,000 schools, and within 18 months, it will be in every public school in our country.
In a few years, El Salvador will inspire the world.
Security was just the beginning 🇸🇻

Welcome to Azar Research Collective and The Backbone Economy.
Azar Research Collective focuses on what I call ‘The Backbone Economy’ or, in simpler terms, Industrials and Supply Chains; this is my term for the businesses that move things, power things, feed people, and keep the world running.
Everybody and their moms are currently following the same forty-seven tech names. Almost nobody is doing the dirty work on the company that sells them their raw materials and fuels their supply chain.
I plan to ship five different sorts of content: Montages, Episodes, Bits, Riffs, and Leftovers. Four of which will be dropping this week.
My research doesn’t start with a screener based on revenue growth or margins; I simply have a list of every industrial public company in the world.
I am a strong believer in the supply chain, and think that every company in the world is basically a logistics/supply chain company. Yes, even that tech company you’re thinking about right now
The goal of all of this is to turn Azar Research Collective into a research shop that is known for its hot takes, excellent research, and is done well enough to earn the trust of the industry.
This shop will be a lot more laid back than any other traditional research firm. I have an unconventional background and path to this game, so I will be showing that with how I write and my perspective within the markets.
I do not believe one can get a real read on a business by typing imaginary numbers into an Excel spreadsheet.
That's it, that's my pitch. I would love it if you stuck around and joined me for this journey.
Thank you, and may the force be with you,
- Gabe L. Azar
